  Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally. |

The murp was killed. And yet, everything proceeded as if nothing happened. Xentus was having a hard time coming to terms with it.. The sight of that limp body after getting slammed into the wall. Unmoving, unbreathing. The looks he got from the pit staff for making their job more difficult than it already was. But what of it? He and Mira were still declared the winner. Undefeated still. And summoned to their final match of the tournament. Xentus was uneasy about this for his own sake, for once. He hadn't come to kill anyone's pet. What if that were Mira on the receiving end of death? His heart was struck with hurt and guilt just thinking about it.
The only rational he could think of was that this kind of thing would happen in the wild anyway. A predator hunts and kills their prey. It was just that.. He was the one forcing the predator to, in this case. And said predator was a well cared for pet, not some wild animal. And its prey.. Well, apparently its prey was brought back from the grips of death and slated to continue participation in this fighting ring. Like nothing happened. And, here he was too - as if it was no big deal. Perhaps it wasn't. If it wasn't evident already, this wasn't the kind of place for those who cared too much. Conflict rose in his mind.
... What was he doing here?
Xentus breathed in a sigh and let the mosca go into the sands for one final time. At least.. He would see this through too its conclusion. He was already in too deep to turn back now.
