It is safe to assume that there is a field set up for your houluh to do it's work in that is set up for any job you can think of. If something is missing that you need for your demonstration, the staff will go get it for you. Feel free to use anything within reason in your set up to display what your houluh knows how to do for their job. Please remember to repost your houluh's image, loyalty, levels, and stats in your first post, and put all of the moves/abilities/tricks your houluh does in the post in brackets or parenthesis at the end of your post/s.
The one with the most points will win the Maestre di Marq and become a Salonne Show Champion. Participation prizes are earned points only. Remember that a houluh with a Maestre di Marq can never enter a Salonne Show again.

Well, might as well get it over with. Snow huffed next to her and she narrowed her eyes a little as they walked forward into the spotlight, "Snow!" The Houluh stood at attention with a bark and slightly wagged his tail. He knew what was going on, she had explained it to him and he stood there, head held high as she backed away, "Stay, Snow." He watched her walked away but stayed in one spot, tilting his head a little and waiting for the next command, "Come here." The Houluh Patronne trotted after her and got a treat once he reached her, though he snapped at the treat pouch and she gave him a rather firm, "No!"
Jack shook her head a little and then pointed to the floor, "Sit." He rumbled a little but sat down, that wasn't the plan, but whatever. She was pleased he had at least listened to her, sometimes it was hit or miss for whatever reason. Jack muttered something under her breath and her massive Thundergug, Kro, appeared and snarled at the Patronne, but Snow just ignored him, showing off his inability to be afraid of something so massive and intimidating. That was excellent, she knew with a smile, and then pointed at a dummy as Kro stomped out of the Hall, "Pounce!" Snow wiggled his tail a little and then pounced on the dummy, shaking it from side to side for a moment with a growl before trotting back over to her.
The woman bowed and pushed his head down in a little bow as well before they walked back to the line.

Welp, Kadin had entered another one of these things. He'd been spending so much time training his houluh lately, it seemed like it was the thing to do to actually enter them into the salonnes that took place. Seeing as no one else was going at the moment, he felt comfortable bringing Cookie into the arena. He'd had it set up to show off her strengths, too, which were, well. Mostly strength. Fitting, right?
Stuffed toys of various shapes and sizes were scattered all around. As the human and houluh walked inside, he looked around to see what he'd have her target first. But before that, he turned to her. "Cookie."
The houluh looked up and wagged her tail, pleased at the attention from her human. She clearly understood that he was trying to get her attention through calling her name. "Good." He said with a smile, trying to decide what to show next.
Kadin walked over to one of the dummies. This one had been created to look like a Galabex. He pointed to it, watching Cookie as she watched him. She did not act, she did not move, until he told her, "Pounce!"
With a yip of delight, the houluh dashed forward. A toy couldn't move away from her, but that didn't stop her from charging at it as if it were trying to escape She jumped into the air and came down on the galabex toy, growling playfully as she slammed her bodyweight into it to try and bring it down.
"Good!" Kadin said, but then he pointed to another toy, this one resembling a lerrel. The next move should be perfectly natural for her to perform. "Bite!"
Cookie immediately detangled herself from the galabex and charged towards the toy, snapping it up in her jaws and shaking it playfully, play growling all the way.
"Good, Cookie." Kadin allowed Cookie to shake the toy around a bit, having her fun. But then he looked around, spotting a larger toy this time. It resembled a baakir with long legs, a beck just as long, and posed as if it were mid walk. Kadin pointed to that one next, getting Cookie's attention. "Cookie, shred!"
He had no sooner made the call then she was charging at the large model toy. She leapt for the legs, tearing at the hind limbs with both her jaws and claws, shredding them up. Had it been an actual baakir, it would no doubt have great difficulties walking away from this encounter. Once the toy was essentially hamstrung, Kadin figured they'd best wrap it up.
"Cookie, claw!" He said, pointing to something resembling an estharne, but could just as easily look like a wingless mosca. With an excited yip, Cookie ran towards it, next, happily scratching all over its fluffy body with her claws.
"Good, Cookie." Kadin called out, recalling her and ending the performance.

Seeing as this was mostly for Gold's benefit, there wasn't reason for that much fanfare. Lethalia smiled at her houluh, who bounced happily beside her as she walked to the center of the ring; she didn't have a care in the world about the clamor of the audience or glare of lights overhead. Happily, this girl was pretty unflappable, following her owner in with pricked ears. "This here's our Forester's Treasury of th' Woods, and Gold-" she yipped with overstimulated excitement over her name being mentioned on top of all the commotion, "-needed t' come n' burn off some energy."
A light flickered onto a sarane dummy set off to the side, stopping Gold dead to give it a good menacing bark, just to make sure it knew she meant business! The houluh took off after the dummy before Lethalia called her right back in, sitting in front of her owner as told, even if she wiggled in place. The dummy being there meant they were doing something!! She whined plaintively, but resettled - poutingly - when told "No, y'can wait."
That didn't mean Gold wasted any time popping back up on her feet the instant Lethalia chimed, "Okay, c'mon!" Gold ran just ahead of her owner on the way to the dummy, tail wagging even harder as she was told "Bite 'im, Gold!" Allowed to race forward, she latched onto the dangling wing of the dummy and shaking it viciously - even if her tail was going a mile a minute and her growls were far more playful than menacing.
Lethalia called Gold back over to sit her side and palmed her a treat for her efforts, also calling to the equillion waiting just outside the ring entrance. They'd done this for her debutante show, but that was fine - it didn't hurt anything to do it again, especially since it was more for the houluh's benefit. Gold knew this whole routine, and danced eagerly as Lethalia hopped onto the mare's back and beckoned the hound to jump up there with her. Gold was a little big for this anymore, but at least she was a small enough dog to pop onto the equillion without bothering her much. Leth knew this wasn't typically a show of strength as it were, but since she rode the mare bareback, she hoped it would show off Gold's level of control being as 'good' of a rider as a dog might be. Gold sat through a quick trot and canter around the ring, long ears flapping in the wind, seemingly happy as could be.

It was their time to shine. Nadia beamed as she made her way out into the ring, with Indie at her side - her coat was slick and shiny, groomed to perfection. A cart loaded with goods had been placed in the centre in preparation for the display, and they made a beeline for it.
"Heel, Indie," She repeated, keeping the houluh close to her side, until they reached the cart. Hooking her into her harness and then attaching her to the load was a breeze, with her standing still and calm (she looked around to the audience and judges to ensure they were taking note of it). Perfect. Each buckle and strap was done up to ensure both the cart and Indie would be safe in the following performance. Then, they could begin. Holding the heel, they began to walk around the arena, with the houluh pulling the weighted load with her.
The two of them completed a full lap of the arena with Indie at Nadia's side, pulling the load with obvious effort but no problems. Before they knew it, they were back around to their starting position, and Nadia could move on to their next trick. She undid the harness attaching Indie to the cart, but replaced it with bags - each was visibly loaded with weights.
"Come on girl, heel," She said. At a jog, she started to lap the ring again, and Indie took it in her stride, trotting alongside her with her tongue lolling from her mouth. Her gait was beautiful, if Nadia said so herself; even with the weight pressing down on her, she kept her head up and her tail wagging. "Good girl. Well done, good girl."
They kept going... and going... and going. For as long as they were allowed to, in their time limit, to show that Indie was a strong, capable houluh.

Aubrey took a deep breath. It was time for them to go on. In theory this shouldn't have been as nerve wracking as it was, especially since he had done it once before, but it was kind of tough going up in front of a crowd.
By contrast, Loki was calm, and took in the audience with a measured look. But then, he did always carry himself with that kind of self assurance when they were out on walks too, so it was hardly a surprise that he wouldn't balk at this either. Aubrey had had the thought before, that Loki would make a good show dog, if Aubrey could just figure out how to be a good show... person.
Counting down from three, Aubrey forced himself to look up, then gave Loki the command to heel. Together they walked out into the ring, with Loki staying at Aubrey's side.
It wasn't an obedience competition or anything like that, but he figured it was always good to show that Loki was a nicely behaved individual, especially since Aubrey was about to show him ripping into a dummy. "H-Hi," Aubrey said. "This is Loki... I mean, RR Smooth Talker. We'll be showing you how strong he is today..." This really wasn't Aubrey's forte at all, and he felt it keenly now, but he tried to focus on Loki and soldiered on. They were already out here, and if he froze up now, that had to be worse than whatever he managed if he just kept going.
"Sit. Stay," Aubrey said. Loki followed his directions, while Aubrey stepped away, coming to a stop next to a dummy.
Loki watched Aubrey at attention, but Aubrey made him wait a moment before giving him a command. "Come!" Loki trotted to stop in front of Aubrey, who gave him a small treat.
(Loki demonstrates Sit, Stay, and Come on command)
And now for the real demonstration... Aubrey pointed at the dummy, and gave Loki the first command. Loki swiped at the dummy with a paw, raking surprisingly deep furrows into the padded fabric with his claws. The tearing sound was pretty dramatic too. So far, so good.
"Bite," Aubrey commanded next. Not missing a beat, Loki stepped back for a moment, then lunged at the dummy again, this time to latch his jaws onto its leg. When he let go, there were more tears in the dummy's fabric. "Headbutt," Aubrey said quickly, and Loki rammed his head square into the dummy's stomach, toppling it over onto its back.
"At ease," said Aubrey, and Loki relaxed.
"There you have it! Thank you for watching," Aubrey said, his speech steadying now that their display was drawing to an end. He mustered a smile for the audience, then led Loki out of the ring.
(Loki demonstrates Claw, Bite, Headbutt, and At Ease on command) (end)
Riku: I appreciate that.

Silver: Yea over time I realized that people either ignored or resented a lot of the lore anyway, so I've mostly just figured, eh, if you want to play, do what you want. I'd rather have you around than yell at you for your plot points.

Alma: If it helps, this version feels like it changed/removed a lot of the old fluff and is a great deal more free-form now. Could probably make up whatever to make your OC's reach the city and fit in somewhat so long as they aren't from something like Halo.
Apr 12, 2021 12:49:24 GMT -6
Yang: i feel like its a real challenge to bring in OC's when the Story-story of the labs is a big 'ol question mark; i get the idea/Sense of the labs' story; to make beasts that are Cool and Powerful, but beyond that its all '? ? ?' ; to me atleast :B
Apr 12, 2021 10:30:40 GMT -6
Kadin: Hah, same, I still haven't finished Kadin's intro back to the labs plot area thread even tho I've been back for months now
Apr 12, 2021 7:26:36 GMT -6
Silver: To be honest, I write most of my prologues much later, if ever haha.
Apr 11, 2021 21:52:35 GMT -6
Riku: A lot of my pets have prologues that need to be written still.....but I could technically write those later as flashbacks in the plot area.
Apr 11, 2021 21:06:34 GMT -6
Riku: I look forward to seeing stuff come about. Long-plans for six months to a year or two in the future are things I'm open to!
Apr 11, 2021 21:06:00 GMT -6
Riku: I love Alma's ideas for the boss fights. I'd really enjoy participating, but I just don't know if I'm currently qualified with my very little actual training experience and lack of muse lately...
Apr 11, 2021 21:05:30 GMT -6
Kadin: ... Heck, I should train up SEVERAL teams of gallor, lol
Apr 11, 2021 20:07:31 GMT -6
Kadin: I'd like to train a group of vulti or other pets up in the future, but I'll probs run the fights with my currently trained pets, too, until those others are trained up
Apr 11, 2021 20:07:09 GMT -6
Noa: I doubt anyone is gonna want to tag team with me anyhow XD
Apr 11, 2021 0:13:25 GMT -6
Noa: I'll probably be solo-ing the Pit ones, at least... Mostly because I'm not as interested in the points as I am in gaining levels on specific pets. And since my PLs are so high, I'd bring down the point earnings, so
Apr 11, 2021 0:13:16 GMT -6
Riku: Maybe that can be one of the 'bosses'. Like a group of Vulti.
Apr 10, 2021 19:49:54 GMT -6
Jack: Yeah I really liked the idea.
Apr 10, 2021 19:12:13 GMT -6
Alma: I really like the idea of pack instincts coming into play with a pack of beasts that can be seen as thematically linked to a boss. XD
Apr 10, 2021 19:08:50 GMT -6
Alma: I figure most players will want to solo through a few fights with their stronger pets first, if for no other reason than to make the fights go faster, but I'll probably ask around for that sort of team again later.
Apr 10, 2021 19:07:49 GMT -6
Jack: I'm thinking of throwing a couple of Sarane at the Wiurn, but I'm liking your ideas you posted! I'm totally game for it, to be honest.
Apr 10, 2021 16:47:58 GMT -6
Alma: Anyone have any plans for their teams?
Apr 10, 2021 16:41:06 GMT -6
Alma: The boss system looks pretty cool. Looking forward to seeing more fights in it.
