Morgan usually got in on the quest-board bandwagon early on during the month in order to get the 'best' (in Morgan's mind; highest paying) quests. When they had first started doing quests, they had done so to test some of their inventions. However, they had changed over the years. They hardly tinkered at home anymore, and instead threw theirself headlong into work. They'd been working on another species lately, and only just recently had they been able to slow up. The first thing they wanted to do was to hang out with Endymion. They hit two birds with one stone by inviting him once again to go along with them on a quest. They met Endymion at the Catseye, as they had the last time, and spent a few moments speaking and eating with him before it was time to see what was on the quest board. Endymion was so huge now! Morgan still remembered him being relatively small! [1]

The two, as always, had excellent conversation. Morgan was not much of a people's person, really. Their own team often found them curiously quiet and contemplative, and perhaps they were the most talkative to them. It was always different with Endymion. Even when they were quiet with one another, it was a companionable silence that Morgan quite enjoyed. They promised to come down and visit with Vixie as well soon- and promised to teach them to cook some of the more common special foods that were Morgan's favorites around this time of year. However, the human knew that they wouldn't have a lot of time for the rest of the winter. Perhaps this was unfortunate. "Alright E-endymion, we're almost there." Morgan warned him, as they continued on. Endymion was a little overwhelmed the last time that they had been out towards the quest board, so he'd asked for Morgan to warn him when they were coming up on it so that he could prepare. He still hadn't learned the city well.

Endymion nods- apparently something that he had learned and picked up from Morgan (or perhaps something that sort of filtered along their soul-bond- Endymion had never really been himself before they were bound... Bound-born and all). Morgan pats him on the shoulder. "I am s-sorry that people find you fascinating, Endymion. Y-you know your people aren't often... Well, willing to come to the Labs." The labs people were peculiar folk and the kind of 'crimes against nature' that they committed would turn all but the most curious or backwards Draconic away from the idea of ever visiting, even if they 'have' a clan humanoid. However, Endymion was a special case, and it often showed.
He'd never really gotten to be 'himself' before he was part of Morgan, though Morgan had the chance to grow beforehand.
They came up upon the questing board quickly enough, and curiously found it completely devoid of others.

That was enough to give Morgan pause. They certainly were not used to the area around the questboard to be this bare? Sure, they had seen it between booms a few times before, but usually at least one person was around. Of course, it would make sense that perhaps the cold was keeping people from being out just because 'the weather is nice'. That was generally what people said to other people that they didn't know much, anyway. "W-well, looks like we won't have that problem t-today, huh?" The winter months were generally fairly barren around here when it came to people being out anyway. Endymion rumbles a draconic 'laugh' out of his chest, and nudges Morgan towards the board with his nose gently. "A-alright alright, I got it, let's see what the vultures 'ave l-left." Morgan trembled out through their own chuckles. They pushed his nose away gently. He could be a draconic of short words sometimes.

What did the so-called vultures leave? Admittedly, not much. Morgan would have liked to have seen something interesting like he months before right away, starting at the top of the board, but instead they found mostly blank cork and some scraplets requesting help with holiday cleaning or dinners. Morgan was not too keen on this, but at least the 'best' quest wasn't a party this month. Really, they weren't up for partying this month, and it didn't seem like their draconic companion had any interest in them either. After turning to look at nearly all of the notices, Morgan frowns and puts their palm to the back of their neck, rubbing. "I dunno i-if there is gonna be much for us this year..." They murmured. Just then, they saw that there was a semi nice-looking note near the bottom of the board. Morgan takes a look at it, skimming over the contents while Endymion blinks behind them.

Endymion had not been taught how to read yet, and Morgan had admitted to him earlier that they probably wouldn't have time to do so for a while yet, however that did not keep him from being somewhat annoyed whenever he saw the tiny little writing that humans did. Their hands were so fine and delicate, and he had to squint to even look at it. Endymion couldn't imagine learning to write, with his own claws the way that they were.
Whatever Morgan was ascertaining from that cream slip of parchment seemed to put them at some amount of ease, though not entirely. Finally, Morgan smirks. "Looks like we're f-finally gonna do one of those 'help me do the d-d-domestic activities' quests I'm always griping about." Morgan said, nodding to him. "T-the owner of the Herbologist's Delight n-needs help making cookies, and it is the least abysmal one a-up here."

Endymion regards Morgan with a curious expression on his face, but Morgan doesn't look him directly in the face. Pointedly they turned around, and patted him on the shoulder while folding the scrap of paper in their other hand. "I doubt there w-will be anyone else there, and you c-can learn more about the critters there while we are there, i-i-if you like." Morgan says to him. The wind picks up right about then, and both human and draconic shiver a tad. It was cold, today. "I-it's gonna get late while we are there, probably. Ah, well. Let's go." Morgan says, working theirself through the complaining they wished to do. Endymion follows Morgan out at an incredibly slow pace. Morgan was much shorter than he was, so it would be easy to outpace them by accident.
It didn't take too long for them to find theirselves outside of the Herbologist's Delight.

Watching the blond human try to communicate with their own kind was difficult, Endymion noted. He stood awkwardly outside, near some potted plants that appeared to be covered with sack-cloth to ward off the freeze, and watched as Morgan stood in the doorway of the shop. They were speaking with the shopkeeper, an elder human that smelled of baked goods and exotic plants. This must be the 'Alura' human. Endymion tilts his head, as the conversation unfolds, and finally, he was granted permission to come on in, or rather to stick his head in a window that would be opened. Morgan looked very relieved to Endymion, but really stiff and awkward compared to the more expressive and loose other human. Said window was open, and Endymion sticks his head into the window. The elder human seemed... Kind. Soft almost. It reminded him of Vixie's clan patriarch, really.
Morgan washes their hands, and then turns around to get to work.

Morgan turned around almost directly into a dorky apron, held out by the elderly woman. Normally, Morgan would have vehemently denied the need for such a thing, but knowing that the shop was closed and they were the only one there, they blushed a bit and swallowed their pride. Endymion would remember that forever- in fact, it was completely uncommon for Morgan to be willing to do anything that was out of the ordinary for them and their 'normality'. Morgan takes off their Labcoat and then puts the apron on, tying around their slim waist. Endymion wished he knew what the little symbols on the apron meant, but it had a picture of one of those little elephant critters on it! How odd.
Morgan got to work immediately. They didn't really like taking orders, but managed somehow to do exactly what Alura wanted when it came to her legendary cookies. She made a few batches, too.

Two batches of cookies were made relatively quickly, and Morgan was already using a spoon to stirr the next bowl. Alura was trying to get Endymion to eat a cookie, which was funny to Morgan. They couldn't help but chuckle, even though they felt incredibly awkward. Sugar cookies weren't really Morgan's favorite, but as they got another set into the oven, Alura had already began to let the second one cool, and was gearing up to decorate the first ones with icing. They had no idea what the strange shapes were going to be, but they watched them come to life as Alura worked out what she was going to do with them.
Morgan managed to make another six of the batches, leaving Alura to decorate them. What would the cookies be for, Endymion wondered? He had finally tried one for himself, but they were very small. Mostly sweet little things, really.
After a long afternoon of baking, Morgan gently bows out. They hadn't made much conversation, but they had listened to the old woman talk all evening. It wasn't too unpleasant, at least.
