Your name: Jack Draconic: Y Canyon Home: Black Rock CavernDo you have plans for your friend?: I have always thought this is a stunning Draconic and I've always wanted to adopt it but my Cave was always too full. Now with the restriction lifted, I would love to adopt this young one like I've always wanted to do
It was strange being somewhere in the Canyon without Ember, but she had insisted on coming alone, she didn't want the guardian to think she was wanting to get rid of the Draconic she had bonded so well with from the moment she hatched. She was Izzy's child, she wasn't going to throw her out, of course not! But there was a rumor of another Draconic, a hatchling, in the Rookery, and she had to see for herself. Hints of white and bright greens were spoken of, and Jack had yet to see one like that, and so she came to the Rookery to see for herself at the moment. "Hello? I'd like to see one of the hatchlings if I may..." Jack said when she found her way into the little oasis. It was lovely there she thought, and there were some older Draconics as well as some hatchlings. She felt bad about not wanting to adopt any of the older ones, but... maybe soon someone would, there was always hope.

Acethylka was leaned out at the entrance to the rookery, perhaps sunbathing was a little undignified, but she did enjoy it at times like several others of her kind. She hears a noise, and glanced over to see an individual. Ah; someone else here to see some of the younger ones. "Yes, of course. Do you happen to have a draconic family already?" Acethylka was always willing to watch over the hatchlings and new individuals, but she did feel a bit more confident when the individuals had a family beforehand. "The hatchlings are this way." She said, and then stood and turned away, leading further on into the Rookery's oasis area.

"Yes I do," Jack told the Draconic female with a smile on her face as she thought of her cave, "I have a male Lashak named Izzy and some of his family, plus another offspring that I helped to breed quite some time ago. I've heard of a green tipped hatchling in here somewhere, and I would love to meet them," she said earnestly, hoping the guardian would understand her hesitation in coming here until now. She smiled a little at the hatchlings when they reached them and she quickly spotted the one she had heard about. It was hovering near an insect, looking like it was about to pounce until it saw her, and then they all seemed to scatter. "I didn't mean to scare them!" she exclaimed, hurt by the thought, though they were just little ones, there were some older Draconics lounging around as well, and she hoped they would find a cave soon too.

Acethylka nodded as she listened, but then froze up for a moment. Oh, she had heard about a specific one here, and decided to check it out based on it's looks? That made her nervous, especially since they almost never had visitors. That was a bit odd; but if she already had a family, then it should be fine, right? "Oh, you can come this way." And then when she turned around, they were already there. She'd been trying to keep them from running up when visitors came for a long time, just in case someone was dangerous, so she shot a quick glance at them. "Looks like they are already here. Feel free to speak with them, if you wish." She said. She was feeling a bit more nervous this go around than normal, but she was sure that she could spot danger before it happened. Surely not, right?

Jack smiled at her, "Thank you." She walked forward a little and then slowly went down to her knees, smiling happily at the curious little Draconics who were peeking out from their hiding spaces. The older ones peered at them as well for a moment before moving on to other things. They weren't the ones who were usually wanted, and while it saddened them, they could always leave on their own it seemed. Jack looked around at the few hatchlings with a bright look on her face, scratching one under the chin that ventured forward first. "Hello little ones, I'm here to see you!" she told them all. Even though she had a specific one in mind, and she saw the little hatchling among the others, she wasn't going to single it out and not play with them all it seemed. The one she had in mind, the one with the green tips to their wings, was curious and small, but stayed back as though sure she wasn't going to pick it.

One finally climbed into her lap, it was more yellow with green on it's back, no wings to it, but that was alright! She smiled and patted the little one on the head before asking them all, there were six hatchlings, "Would you all like to play a game? We could play hide and seek? I could find you first, and then the last one hiding can be next!" They all murmured among themselves for a moment before bounding off into their own hiding spaces. The woman chuckled and hid her eyes, counting to the number ten and then saying, "Ready or not, here I come!" Jack hadn't seen where they all had gone, but this was going to be fun either way. She chuckled to herself and hunted for them one by one, finding a couple of them rather easily, but they didn't take it hard, they just laughed and ran to the middle of the area again.

They were all either Makiyan, a wingless type, or Shayala, a small, winged type with little legs. It wasn't like she didn't like either of them, that was perfectly fine, but it was odd to see such little variety in their makeup. The older ones had more of a variety it looked like, and the woman smiled and waved at them as she hunted for the other four hatchlings. One was hiding behind an older Draconic, and the woman laughed and tagged it as the older one moved to a better spot to look. It grumped for a moment before laughing and running off to join the other two she had already found. Jack laughed as well and looked around for a bit before spotting another one, the little yellow one and touching that one as well, tagging it to show that it was found. It, too, laughed and ran off, and Jack wished she could take more than one of the hatchlings home for now.

The third Makiyan was found under an overhang, and only the little white and green Shayala was left. Jack tapped her lip as the five little ones giggled amongst themselves, obviously they knew something she didn't. She hunted and hunted and finally gave up, "Alright, I give up! Come on out little one!" There was a giggling coming from behind her, and she turned to see the little green Draconic tumble out of a hole in the wall. Jack laughed, "No fair!" She leaned over and scooped up the little Draconic and tickled its tummy for a moment before letting it back down to the ground, "Alright, your turn to find! Cover your eyes and count to ten!" She smiled when the little one closed its eyes and then started counting in its cute little speech. Jack looked around and one of the older ones chuckled and motioned to a crevice in the wall, she would do that!

Jack ran over and squeezed into the crevice just as the little Shayala got to ten and then barely breathed as she watched it hunt down the others one at a time. She thought the little yellow one and the Shayala were siblings, it would be a shame to break them apart... Jack sighed softly, she wished she could adopt them both, but that was impossible for the moment she thought. Unless she talked to the guardian about it she figured. They were both adorable, but the little Shayala's eyes gleamed a little more intently as it started to stalk the woman to find out where she had gone. Jack covered her mouth as she tried not to laugh a little bit as the little one grew closer and closer before it finally found her. "Good job!" she said as the little Shayala laughed and bounced around her, "You found me! I need a better hiding spot don't I?" Jack grinned at the little one.

This was going quite a bit better than she had previously been worried of; and that was good. She wasn't quite used to individuals coming in specifically for a hatchling they knew about to begin with, but they didn't seem to be so bad. It was easy for individuals to specifically choose others based off of looks; Acethylka had been told about this that other races sometimes did this when they adopted their own ilk as children. So it couldn't exactly be helped. At least the young one would be able to live outside and go on adventures... So it was decided, at least on Acethylka's end, to give this a chance. She bent down, smiling, not belying her slight concern from earlier, and then winked at the young green-tipped one. "Did you want to go with this individual?" She was happy, it was not commonly that they got visitors and possible adopters for anyone. The younglings were more so than the older ones, though.

The little hatchling looked thrilled with the idea and bounded around Jack, making her laugh, but then her heart broke. The little one ran over to the little yellow Makiyan and nuzzled up to it happily before beaming at the woman. She sighed a little and knelt down, looking at the two of them, then she gave them a soft smile. "I would..." Jack started hesitantly, looking up at the bigger guardian Draconic with earnest longing and heartache in her eyes, "Would there be any chance... I'd hate to break them up..." The little green tipped Shayala bounded over to her again and propped itself up on her knees, looking into her eyes, "Hi!" Jack smiled down at it and over at the Makiyan, "Hello love..." She didn't want to break them apart, they seemed to be siblings and they were both so cute to each other. The little green winged one went over and pounced on the yellow Makiyan, and Jack managed to smile in the middle of heartache.

For some reason, perhaps even unknown to Acethylka herself, this made her feel so much better. These two were always close, and the individual could tell if that they were close, and they cared. Most individuals would probably not spare a second glance. She looked up from the green tipped one to the human, and then back down at both of the babies. "Of course, provided they want to go. Would you two like to go with this individual?" She clarified, looking between the two of them.

Both the little ones bounced around and cheered with each other before politely sitting in front of the bigger Draconic and nodding, "Yes please!" Their voices chimed together as one, and Jack knew she was going to have her hands full with these two, but she couldn't wait to see what they were going to be like. She grinned widely and hugged them as they both ran over to her and collided with her chest and stomach. The air knocked out of her, "Oof!" and the woman went down to the ground laughing once she caught her breath. "Thank you," Jack said with such sincerity to the guardian Draconic, "I won't forget this." She nuzzled each of the little ones in turn and then stood up, glancing out of the sanctuary with a smile, "Are you two ready to go home?" She couldn't wait to hear their answers, and the answer of Acethylka as well, but they both seemed eager enough for her.

Acethylka was certainly not used to this much excitement out of the two of them, so that worked it would seem. "Ah, okay, good luck you too." She said, watching them as they left. Well, hopefully they would be a-okay!

Your name: Fiera Ferella Draconic: The three Iolite and Alkatraz offspring. No letter ID. Canyon Home: The Yawning PitsDo you have plans for your friend?: I want Fiera to have an ally to grow, change, and learn with. I've never had a draconic before, and would like to raise one from infancy. However, I also find it very interesting to have three siblings, and would love to be able to keep the family together. I think the dynamic of three siblings and their overly protective adopted 'mom' is something that I could tell a lot of stories with. Fiera wandered into the vast cavern within the canyon, staring up in awe at the light filtering in from above. This wasn't... anything like she had at home. Good god. Her homeland was cities and dry woodlands, babbling brooks and still ponds. Everything here was so much bigger than she was used to. Emptier. It made that empty feeling in her chest yawn bigger as well. She had come to these lands alone, with nothing but the shirt on her back, knowing no one and owning nothing. She had done pretty well on rectifying the latter problem, but still she was wary of people here. She had no friends, let alone allies. But that was what she came here to rectify. She had heard from those around here that the humanish were not the only intelligent peoples to dwell in these lands. There were also the draconics, large reptilian creatures that people frequently formed close bonds with. Fiera had established a cave in the canyons, a place to live and grow... perhaps someone here would be able to join her there. She wasn't going to get her hopes up- she knew these creatures were people unto themselves, and she couldn't force them to do anything. But maybe, for once, someone would pick her instead of throwing her away.
