Somehow, Skram had managed to escape the attentions of their newest "friend". Barely. Seriously, that guy was a little much for Skram, at the best of times. It didn't help things that they couldn't manage to see all of him at once, basically ever, on account of how damned huge he was. But dealing with him and his friendliness was a problem for later Skram. Now Skram was busy with something else.
You see, Skram was being stalked. And not by the abominable snowman this time. That deer monster they'd met in the woods seemed to particularly like following them around for no god damn reason at all. It was driving Skram a little bit insane. It isn't wanted to share its food before, but after spending like five minutes with Skram, now it wanted to follow them everywhere?
Yeah. They didn't understand it. They needed to get to the bottom of it. And that was how they ended up here. Climbing trees so that it could hide up in the branches and pounce down on the deer monster thing when it finally showed itself. Skram would be the first to admit that it wasn't the best idea they'd ever thought of, but what else could they do? Just keep being stalked by a deer monster who was giving no account of why the fuck they were stalking Skram to begin with?
And so they waited. And waited. Annnd... waited. And they kept waiting until they suddenly heard some rustling in the bushes. Saw and antler. A hoof peeked out. The moment Skram could see the deer monster entirely, they leapt out of the tree with a HA! and.... fell flat on their face in the dirt right behind it, startling it back into the bushes.
Damn it.

Ramal was feeling like he was really starting to get the hang of this training thing. He had even trained a Thundergug how to roar! That was pretty cool. Even if she didn't win the tournament, he was still proud of her, and proud of himself for being able to teach her something new. When that was all said and one, he decided to go back home and try teaching something a little less... huge. Eventually, he settled on a small hooved creature that had caught his interest. She had been adopted from WELP corp a little while ago, so she was still young and impressionable. Perfect. Ramal used a leash fashioned out of scraps to lead the Repointe into the public park. He would really have to get a proper one some day, but that might have to wait. He wasn't exactly drowning in credits, and he had recently found out that he wouldn't be getting any from his participation in the tournament, either. That was alright, though. He would make do like he always did. They moved lazily toward the park, since the fluffy creature wanted to sniff at every thing she walked past and Ramal didn't see any reason to stop her. It was sort of nice just to see what she was interested in, actually. He would have to think of a name for her eventually. It was getting a bit weird to keep referring to her in his head as 'fluffy thing'. Suddenly, her tail puffed out and her ears shot straight up. Something wasn't right. Ramal didn't know that much about terrestrial creatures, but it didn't take an expert to know that she was upset. Before he had a chance to investigate, something fell out of a nearby tree onto the grass in front of them. If they hadn't stopped, it might have fallen right on them! Meanwhile, something else ran off into the bushes just out of sight. Which of those two things was she actually upset about? "Ho! ... Ola... eh, hey," he stuttered. His little friend tried to hide behind him, but he crouched down to get a better look at the lump of scales on the ground. "Are you alright there? Don't be scared, I have a treat for you, maybe?" He was using the soft voice he used to speak to creatures. Did he think it was one? [3.65, 0.1]

Skram groaned into the ground. Was their face bruised? It felt like their face was bruised. Before they could get too far into feeling sorry for themselves, they heard something talking to them. With a frown, Skram's head popped up. They leaned up on their elbows, but made no move to actually get up from the ground they were still splayed across while they stared suspiciously at the... person in front of them. Who was... offering them... a treat?
From past experience, Skram knew that that either meant this dude wanted to kidnap them or it meant they'd be an easy mark to steal from. Deciding that they'd probably be able to squirm out of any sticky situation, they crossed their arms in front of themselves (still... draped over the dirt and grass), and asked suspiciously in a heavily accented common, "What kind of treat?"
Meanwhile, the deer monster that had run off didn't run too far. Once it was out of sight and sure that no one was following it, it circled back around to sneak through the bushes back to where the weird lizard person was. It crouched low, poking its head through some leaves to watch this whole, um. Scene. Play out. Why? Your guess is as good as mine.

Ramal was starting to wonder if he'd made a promise that he couldn't quite make due on. He was pretty sure he had some treats in his backpack, but whether or not they were any good, well, he couldn't remember. He actually didn't even know what a Repointe ate. They looked like herbivorous hooved creatures, but they had the face and fangs of a predator. So he brought both options with him. At least he thought he did.
When the creature on the ground spoke, suddenly everything changed. It wasn't a creature at all, but a small person of some kind. Ramal was surprised, but he was willing to roll with it. He was pretty sure that people could eat that jerky stuff he brought, right?
"Eh, I have... let me look," he flipped his backpack around so that he could hang it from one shoulder and dig around in it. "There is... some jerky, and cookies from that nice flower shop in town. I was going to save them, but we will share them if you want. You look like you need one."
Ramal twisted himself around so that he could still hold his makeshift leash and grab the cookies at the same time. "Here you go, friend," he said with a genuine grin.
Meanwhile, his fluffy little creature was staring off into the bushes at the end of her lead. She really wanted to go over there, but when she tugged at the leash, it didn't move. She wasn't keen on the uncomfortable feeling of it pressing on her neck, so she stayed there at the end of the line and sniffed audibly, trying desperately to pick something up.

Skram narrowed their eyes as this guy dug around for the treats he had promised them. They had a sneaking suspicion that he'd be expecting something a lot different when he initially offered the treats, but hey. They couldn't be assed to care. They were hungry basically all of the time, so they'd accept whatever food was thrown their way. Once they saw that he did, in fact, actually have food, they scrambled to their feet and grabbed the cookie out of his hand, stuffing it into their mouth as if worried he was going to change his mind.
Now that they were standing, it was possible to see the rest of them. They were dressed in what could loosely be called clothes, but would be more accurately described as dirty leather rags. They'd been washing recently, probably, but it was hard to tell considering how discolored and patched the ensemble was.
They chewed quickly for a moment, considering the actual flavor of the cookie for less than that before swallowing it down. "Had better, had worse." They concluded with a shrug. "Probably better with something to drink." Around then, they noticed that his leashed creature was... wait. Wait. WAIT. Was that a baby deer monster?? Skram stared at it with narrowed eyes for a looong moment before finally looking in the direction it was pulling. It was well hidden, but there was no way they'd mistake that antlered mug, even if it was hidden behind a bunch of trees. "That asshole," Skram muttered to themselves, stomping over in all their two-and-a-half-foot glory to yell at a bush. "You just HAD to run away, huh? But here you still goddamn are! Stalking me! If you want to be friends you need to buck the fuck up, buddy. All of this STALKING isn't cool! If you keep it up I'll stick an arrow through your goddamn neck and eat you. That's what you get for stalking people you overgrown blanket!" The bushes rustled, but didn't seem inclined to do much beyond that, believing that, perhaps, now was not the best time to move... 3

A slight, confused frown briefly flickered across Ramal's face. This tiny person was even worse off than he was, from the look of them. They were disheveled and clearly hungry. He didn't have that much to offer, but he felt compelled to help them out. Sadly, he didn't think any of his colorful silk shirts would fit them. What even were they? It wasn't a species he had ever encountered before on his travels, though that wasn't saying much.
Something to drink? Oh right. Given how quickly they devoured that cookie, he could only imagine how thirsty they probably were as well. Also how did they end up here, face down in the grass in the middle of the park? Well, he was willing to wait for that story. For the moment, there were more pressing matters at hand.
"Oh, ah, I might have something in here," he said. He continued to dig through his pack and came across two bottles. One had some stale tea made for him by the cookie lady, and the other was about halfway full of water. "I've got some old tea, and..."
But he was cut off by Skram's outburst. This was getting even more concerning by the second. He wasn't expecting to be called an asshole today, but he almost wasn't surprised. It took him a full few seconds to realize that they weren't actually talking to him. They were talking... to the bushes?
Ramal shrugged and walked closer to the bushes so that he too could inspect the 'overgrown blanket'. The Repointe he had on the end of the lead poked her whole head in, then pulled it out again in a hurry. She ran around behind Skram and tried, unsuccessfully, to hide behind them. Ramal leaned in over the top of both of them and tilted his head.
"What are we all looking at?" he asked calmly, as if nobody had just been shouting insults.

Skram growled at the bushes, uncaring that their rage merely sounded like a pissed off teakettle, if the street rats they'd grown up with could be believed. The bushes didn't even do them the decency of rustling back in response this time. So, instead, Skram whipped around and hissed at the weirdo who'd offered them treats, pointing an accusing finger at the bushes while they did so.
"You know. One of those thrice-damned deer monsters. You should know, you HAVE one!" Skram gestured expressively with their hands, presenting said baby deer monster that was- oh? It was hiding behind them? Temporarily distracted, Skram frowned at the younger version of their stalker and offered it a hand, trying to carefully pet it, if it would allow it. They were desperately curious to find out if their stalker was as soft as it looked and, well. This was the closest way they'd find out at the moment, wasn't it?
Thus distracted, they didn't notice at all when their stalker slowly, carefully poked first its nose and then its eyes through the bushes, staring at first Skram for a long, assessing moment, before its eyes shifted suddenly to Ramal. It was probably had to tell, considering that repointe didn't exactly have a ton of facial muscles to make expressions with, but one might be the vague impression that it was... glaring at him.
