The walk there was nice, despite the too-bright day. There was a gentle breeze wafting out of a small thicket line that was on the other side of the little brooklet. The concrete sidewalk was a stark contrast against the nature on just the other side of it. It was a little bizarre to most that grew up in 'the wilds' of Pethia, but for Renathan it felt cozy and comfortable. He very rarely felt comfortable in this world- truly comfortable. He smiles beneath the mask and lets out a soft breath. Lisle pads along after him and the rumbling from the great beast along with the rustling of the soft and new spring leaves in the breeze was truly relaxing. The treble of the babbling brook was irresistible. Renathan could almost have gone to sleep standing up, especially in the cool shade! However, he nearly trips as the concrete transitions to a wooden bridge, and one of his toe claws catches between two rounded planks of wood.

It didn't wind up hurting Renathan any, but it did wake him up from his reverie very sharply. This was still the Labs-city, after all. He was a long way from home. He looks out over the very un-natural looking cut of the wood with some sort of soft sadness behind his gaze- how long had it been since he'd taken a break, let alone thought of home? Lisle bumps into his back like a cat into the hand of a beloved human offering chicken chunks in a can as a treat. Renathan chuckles, pulling away from the allure of nostalgia, and instead turns to Lisle. "Do you think he might have dropped one of them into the brook?" He looks around the bridge a bit, and notices something particularly shiny and small wedged between two of the planks. Aha- that must be one of them! Getting it out without breaking it though, THAT would be tough.

The russet mammalian drops, bending his knees and straightening his back as he balances on his toes- crouching to gently place his forefinger and thumb around the glass. After a bit of jiggling and carefully moving the glass around within the wedge it had been dropped into, he was able to get it out without damaging the delicate detailing on the glass orb. He puts this one in the pouch as well, and wonders for a moment, looking down into the brook. Three more, huh? As he was thinking, he noticed that something in the brook was glistening a little bit brighter than just the dappled sunlight on the top of the tiny wave-crests. That must be another one! Renathan steps down off of the bridge and glances down into the water. He steps gingerly- the water was so cold! It wasn't uncommon for the water in the area to be cool until well into the summer. Not quite liking water much, Lisle stays back.

Now partially wading into the shallow brook and nearly slipping on the unsurprisingly slimy but water-smoothed rocks, Renathan was able to reach the shiny object and rescue it from the brook. He lifts it up into one of the dancing dapples of light from beneath the freshly foliated trees. It was quite a nice piece- was this a seeker? It was a very delicate representation of such a powerful creature. Renathan chuckles at this, and carefully places this one also in the pouch. He searches the brook nearby, sure that the glasses were too heavy to be taken too far away, and was correct. He found another of the round glasses- but there was still one more left out there somewhere. Time to go find it! Renathan was now uncomfortable due to being soaked from the ankles down, but he was sure the warm sunlight would dry his fur out soon enough.
The pair move on to the next area indicated.

They find nothing at the next area at all- and Renathan begins to realize that it may take a while before they find the next one. It was a shame that Kapper had lost these- what if they didn't find the last one? Say, why was he carrying around these things in his pocket randomly anyway? He hadn't really thought about this at length before. He tried not to judge others, but that was certainly interesting! People had lots of different eccentricities, didn't they? Renathan and his loyal companion travel to several of the indicated areas, looking everywhere with no luck, before finally finding the last of the 'glasses' under a park bench. It was very lucky that no one had found the little thing before they had! Renathan travels back to the quest board to turn in the items so that Kapper (who was undoubtedly busy at the moment) could retrieve them later. Another quest well done, and it had been quite enjoyable!
