Is there any was to "upgrade" riding skills?
What I mean is, some riding skills (particularly "Ghost Rider", but also any of the "category" riding skills if you have the single species "ride mout") make other riding skills obsolete. Meaning, if you've already bought lower grade riding skills, and buy more "advanced" skills, those lower grade skills become redundant. As far as I can tell, riding skills are the only skills set up that you can 'waste' skill points like this.
For most other skills that have multiple "ranks", you can start out buying the cheap version, then invest in more skills to get better things. (For example, "Gem Cutter" back when the workshop was open.) Riding skills seem to be set up that you need to go right for the biggest one, or you waste skills.
For example, if someone has "Ride Mount, Equillion", and then goes for "Expert Riding, Quad", the earlier skill would become a complete waste, as "Expert Riding, Quad" allows for equillion to be ridden.
My character has "Riding, Quad". I'd like to get "Ghost Rider". My question is, are those six skill points I spent on "Riding, Quad" permanently wasted now, or is there a way to contribute those skill points to and "upgrade" to "Ghost Rider"?
Hopefully any of this made sense?

I'm fine with upgrading the riding skill using the points you already have. Off the top of my head, this is the only group of skills I'm fine with that, but it'll be alright if you go ahead and do it!
