Mori seemed to be leading them all in the right direction at least, which Kadin was grateful for. He didn't want to think too hard while all of this was happening as he was afraid that he'd start overthinking it, but at the same time he needed to go over his plan for how he was going to get the items from the sarane nest once he got there. If he was lucky there wouldn't be any sarane out there at all. Instead, they'd be doing something else like going off and hunting so he'd be able to retrieve the items without much hassle. But if there was a sarane there, he needed to decide how he would bait it out and be able to get the item without anyone dying for it. Mori was thinking much the same about everything that was going on, worried that Kadin was going to get himself in trouble once they got to the nest. Still, she understood that it was important to go out of their way to complete this quest, so she was working hard to lead the way well so that they could get there and go back quickly. She eventually saw that the scratches and other signs were leading in the direction of a smaller tunnel than the one they were walking down already. She led them through, noting that this tunnel was barely big enough for the cart. The sarane would probably also just fit down this tunnel like the cart.

The houluh were pulling at the cart, yipping and barking occasionally as they continued along down the tunnel. They were sniffing around at everything they came across, from scratches to bones to small tunnels coming off from where they were going. They really wanted to keep pulling hard at the cart, getting more and more excited as it seemed that something was getting closer. They were going somewhere! They were going to reach something soon! They were so excited to go explore and get going to where they were going, they wanted to keep going on down the tunnel! Kadin was a bit peeved about all of this enthusiasm because it made it difficult in order to keep pulling the cart along while they were also pulling every which way. He didn't really have much to do to keep them in line instead of keep walking along. He only had two hands and all of this equipment plus the houluh to keep charge of. It was hard enough to keep up tracking while he was juggling so much so he tried not to pay it too much mind, especially when he was trying to be so focused on the approach. Once they got close enough he should probably tie them up and sneak forward on his own, maybe with only Mori, that was there was less chance of accidents happening while they were moving forward. Through all of this he certainly didn't want to get his pups injured for nothing more than a quest.

Eventually Mori did call for a halt. She stopped and turned around, flying back towards Kadin in order to communicate to him that they were close. He stopped moving the cart along and stopped to speak at her so they could decide on their next move. They had managed to get to the entrance of another chamber of the tunnel, this one finally looking like it might lead into a likely place for the nest to be at. Kadin went to go with Mori as they snuck further down the tunnel, checking out what was ahead of them. They saw that there was, indeed, a next out in the middle of the tunnel. They couldn't spot any sarane right there in the cavern, but Kadin wasn't about to trust what he could see. What with black sarane being so dark, he wouldn't be surprised at all if they were hiding out here somewhere that he couldn't see, waiting for him to go in and grab something so that they could then jump out in order to eat him. Kadin let out a small huff at his thoughts, glancing over at Mori to see if she had any suggestions as she so often did for what to do next. Mori frowned back at him, shaking her head. "I should go in first. You wait here." Kadin frowned hard, obviously unhappy with this plan. He didn't want her to be in any danger and going closer to the nest would be more dangerous.

"Just let me." Mori said with a huff. Kadin did eventually sigh and nod. She was dark, she had night vision, and she was fast. He trusted her to be able to go out, scout, and come back before anything bad could happen to her. He didn't like the idea still, but he also wasn't going to hold her back. She could make this decision if she wanted to. So Mori snuck out into the cavern, looking all around. Checking over to see if there were sarane hiding out anywhere that they might jump out and attack. But it seemed like nothing was out there for now so she came to report back to Kadin just like that. With a nod Kadin went out to go grab any items he could find in the next. He gathered up everything that seemed like a likely contender for what they needed and went quickly to sneak back down the tunnel. He didn't want to risk any sarane coming up behind him so they made their way out of the tunnel as quickly as possible, not even looking for any eggs or anything else tempting there for fear of risking the wrath of the sarane that the nest belonged to. For all her know, however, the nest might be completely empty after all was said and done and abandoned. But he sure wasn't going to take that risk. So he gathered up the items, threw them in his cart, and turned the whole procession around.

It was time to get the hell out of dodge. He pulled the cart along as quickly as he could, practically dragging the houluh behind him so that they could get the hell out of here. This time Mori wasn't up front, but in the rear so that she could watch their backs and make sure that no angry sarane were going to come along behind them and kill them for looking at their nest. Kadin was grateful for her here, too, since it could be a pretty messy situation if he didn't have her following behind and making sure that they stayed safe. He continued down the tunnels, pulling everything including the houluh, until they finally made their way back to the exit. It was a nerve wracking trip, but they made it without incident, which honestly made the whole thing even more nerve wracking. Once they were out he immediately returned everything that they needed to where they properly belonged and headed off to the quest giver to collect his prize. In the end he didn't have to do that much stuff for this quest at all, but the stuff he did have to do was worry a whole bunch and he was happy that it was finally over. He really didn't want to be in those dark tunnels any longer, not after the threat of attack had been there for so long. He didn't want to deal with that feeling again for a while if he didn't have to.
