Hopefully it was just a Sarane, though that was an interesting thought in an of itself. Jack sighed a little and shook her head, unsure of what to do with things no matter what. All she could do was keep shoveling the dirt around and see what she could find. There were scratch marks in the walls as well, just how long had she been sleeping? Shaking her head, she glanced over at Kanellos who was chasing his tail in the cart. Well then, there was a bit of pup to him after all, that was certainly a good thing she knew, but she wasn't sure how far she wanted that to go at the same time. Giving a little laugh, she went back to digging in the dirt and seeing what she could do at the moment, see what she could find. She wasn't sure what else to do, but that seemed well enough.

Whatever had happened, at least it was gone at this point she knew, or else the hackles on the back of her neck would be raised. She couldn't really sense danger like some people and animals could, but that was fine at the same time, she still had instincts. Nothing was around, and she was sure Kanellos would at least be growling at the moment at that as well. Jack smiled a little and wondered what to do if some of these shiny things wouldn't come out of the ground like she was sure they would try to do at the moment, but she would be stubborn with it no matter what. Laughing a little at herself, she wondered what to do with things, and that was fine, at least she hoped that things would work out in the end of it all no matter what. Hopefully she would be able to sell a little as well.

As she dug around in the ground, the pup still playing a little in the cart, she hoped that she would find something good at the same time. She thought she was focusing on a metal, which sounded good to her, she liked metals. She really liked everything she could get from the mines, but that wasn't part of it at this point. Giving a little chuckle, she hoped that things would work out for her in the long run and the Workshop would come back, but she just didn't know if that was going to happen right now. It was probably not going to open again, but... what if it did? She was thinking about selling all of her gems to The Underground, but what if it came back and she didn't have anything left? That's why she couldn't let go, at least not just yet, and that was fine, nothing was going to hurt by her keeping them right now.

Well, with the threat of something big coming along, she was a little uneasy about continuing in the mines at this point. Chewing on her lip a little, she nodded and put the stones she had found so far and the tools she was using back inside the cart, then pulled Kanellos out and put him into her never ending bag. She was sure things would work out, at least she hoped they would, and she smiled a little at herself as she wondered what to do with things. Well, she knew that getting in the mines when there was something big lurking wasn't a good idea, so she wasn't going to worry about anything anymore, they were just going to leave and all would be well. Jack glanced around, pulled something out of the floor of the mines, and wondered what it was before she shoved it into her bag as well, and then started to haul the cart behind her on her way out.

All would be well as long as they didn't run into anything big. She hauled the cart with one hand and pulled the stone out of the bag with her other, patting Kanellos on the head as she passed him by. The pup whimpered and scampered away from the rock she pulled out, and she looked it over for a moment before smiling a little. A piece of iron, perfect, she knew that was a good thing to have. The woman paused for a moment, chucked the iron into the cart, and then started off again, wondering what to do about things at the moment. She sighed a little, if she hadn't seen the signs of something big coming along, she would have been digging for quite some time longer, but it wasn't worth it when she had the pup. Maybe she would come back to the mines with another pup or something, she really didn't know.

Whatever happened, she would protect the pup and she knew that things would be alright. She could fight a Sarane... right? Her eyes widened at the thought and she shook her head, there was no way she could fight a Sarane, breaking one was different than a straight up fight of course, but that wasn't the point of it all. Hopefully she was going to be done with it no matter what, and she was alright at the same time. As long as they were okay, then everything would be fine, she just had to keep an eye out for things in the mines and then be done with it. Hopefully they wouldn't come across anything too terribly horrific, and then things would be alright. Jack just hoped that she would be able to hear something if it came up on them or something, though Kanellos had to warn her too, wouldn't he?

As long as she could hear what was coming up on them, then things would be fine, and she would protect the pup with everything she had. At least she had a little bit of a haul from this trip, she had stooped down and picked up the odd gem here and there, she was sure they hadn't been there when they'd come down... Jack chewed on her lip a little, it had to have been a Sarane, that was the only option with everything, it was getting a hoard together and she knew that it had dropped a few things. She booked it a little faster and wondered how far it had gotten and wondered if it was on the surface. Already things were getting a little lighter, and she hoped it had gone back down after a little while at the entrance to the mines. Without a doubt, at least she hadn't seen anything.

While things were getting lighter, she could hear Kanellos rummaging around in the bag a little bit as well. She wasn't sure if he was happy or not, but she could imagine he wasn't happy at all about things. Maybe she just needed to figure out what to do on her own, and she stared at the entrance to the mines with a little sigh. Part of her wanted to stay down there, she hadn't found a single crystal at all during this trip, which was rough when she needed eight more of the order crystals for a node and everything. Sighing, she shook her head and exited the mines with the cart behind her and Kanellos in her bag, rummaging around and trying to get comfortable. She could fit a lot of things in that bag, and she was pleased with it so far. All she had to do was get things going.

Jack was pleased with her Houluh so far, while Kanellos hadn't wanted to get dirty, little Red didn't mind at all! She'd had to go home to clean him up twice already on the way to the mines, and now she just didn't care and carried him in her bag just so he wouldn't get down again. Of course once they were in the mines, she didn't know what they were going to do, but... that was fine, she'd figure it out. Jack pushed her hair back and pulled the cart along behind her, rattling it down into the mines a little bit with her new tools, a digging rod she had gotten from something that someone was putting on all the time. She still needed to get the gem field guide, but that was fine, she knew enough about them on her own that it wasn't a problem. It would still be nice to have though.

Red loved being dirty, he was the polar opposite of Kanellos, it seemed, and the woman was glad. While her grew Houluh was quite regal and nice, she liked boisterous animals a little bit more it seemed. Red was just that, and he yipped and howled the whole trip to the mines until she let him poke his head out to where he could see what was going on and where they were going. It pleased her to no end that this was happening, and the woman grinned a little as they made it to the mines, both her and Red, and then plunged into it head on. Things would be fine for awhile she was sure, and that was fine with her, she wanted a smooth run this time, hopefully with a crystal or two at the same time, that would certainly be nice no matter what happened, she supposed.

All that was going to happen, she wondered what was going to happen with Red, who she was going to breed him to and all that. Surely there was a female out there she could breed him to, right? Jack smiled a little bit and wondered what the pups would look like, even though he was just a pup himself. It all worked out in the end though, she just needed to get him grown up and trained, also get him his show done, and that would be that! Then they could look for a Matronne and then keep going with things, she figured. Jack grinned to herself as she patted Red's head a little bit, with it poking out of the bag a little bit at this point. Hopefully everything would be fine when he aged up, but there was no way to be completely sure of that as of just yet.

No matter what, Jack had to get things going though, she figured as she headed down into the mines further and further, Red still poking his head out of her bag as she walked on, pulling the cart behind her. The cart wasn't too terribly big, but could still carry stuff behind her in it, which was exactly the point of course. She pushed a hand through her hair and then settled it on Red's head again, flopping his ears back and forth out of boredom as she walked. It was going to be fine, they would find some things and then head over to get some training in sooner or later. Hopefully sooner, rather than later, she figured, but that was about it. There was no real way to know if that was going to happen, and she just needed to keep going if she was going to get things done.

The mines were closed where she was going it seemed, and she managed a little smile as she walked with Red yipping the whole way. She almost couldn't wait for him to go to sleep like all puppies did at this point, and she sighed a little at the thought. That was mean of her, but what else could she really do right now anyway? Ah well, it all made sense after awhile, she knew it would be alright in the end of it all anyway. Jack watched the mines move along around her for a little bit, and she hoped that she was going to find some good things no matter what. All she had to do was look, but they were too close to the entrance right now still, she didn't think anything would pop up anytime soon, which was the worst part of mining, according to her right now.
