The woman smiled and kneeled down in front of Goran before hugging him around his neck. The gargoyle put a leg around her to return the hug and then pulled away with a small nod, a motion he had picked up from her quite some time ago. He was used to her mannerisms at this point, and so he walked over to where she was digging and started to dig as well before he stopped mid-dig, staring at the cart. A rumble escaped his throat and he narrowed his eyes, this wasn’t natural, he knew what was going on with it, but for now it escaped him that Bigfoot belonged to the woman. Bigfoot, on the other hand, was pleased to see a new friend and bugled softly again as he attempted to jump out of the cart, but he was small and the leap would be big and he didn’t know if he liked that thought just yet. Staring at the woman with bright eyes, he bugled again and she picked him up, putting him on the ground in front of the growling gargoyle. ”It’s okay, he’s with us!” Jack told Goran with a smile, rubbing Goran’s back as he growled some more. He wasn’t sure what to expect from this thing, but it was part of those fossils and what was going to happen with this thing anyway?

Bigfoot wobbled forward a little, not quite like a baby, but close enough, and tried to sniff at Goran a little bit. The gargoyle was having none of it, however, and growled again at him. Jack rubbed his back with a sigh, he was a little territorial she knew, that was one of the reasons she hadn’t brought him along in the first place. They would get along eventually though, she knew it, and she sighed a bit, she just wished it would happen sooner rather than later. Shaking her head, she thought about what to do with them and then fed Goran a little treat from the bag she kept in the cart, hoping to acclimate him to Bigfoot a little at a time if she fed him like that. Eventually, hopefully, he would calm down enough to find a few things and not worry about the Longneck anymore. Maybe it would have gone better if she had brought Toothy instead, but she really wanted for Bigfoot to grow first for some reason, she didn’t really know why. As she sat there she popped her neck and then gave a happy sigh, realizing she had tensed up quite a bit and wondered what was going to happen if she couldn’t loosen up a bit.

Goran sat down and glowered at the Longneck for a little while, Jack’s hand still on his back. What would she do if she couldn’t calm down, even just a little bit? It wouldn’t end well, Goran fed off of her emotions at this point, kind of like Alexei and Kro, but for now she just needed to work with her animals and get them used to each other, at least Bigfoot was willing to try, there was that going for them. Jack sighed again and shook her head before patting Goran on the back one last time and then putting the Longneck into the cart again. He bugled pitifully but didn’t protest, which was definitely a good sign, and then she picked up her shovel and started to dig again, hoping this would calm Goran down a little and then get him digging. It seemed to work well enough, he started digging alongside her, though he shot glances at the Longneck every now and then. Great, he was still a little jealous it seemed, but at least he was calming down a bit, which was definitely a good thing. Jack just hoped this would end well whenever Bigfoot was much bigger, and she wondered how big he would really get when the time came.

Bigfoot sat there in the cart for a little while before sneaking his head and neck out of the cart again so he could watch the woman and the gargoyle a little more closely. It would be fine, he knew, and he smiled and then bugled a little in order to get them to understand a little better at this point. Jack smiled at him and patted Goran on the back when he started growling a little once more, and then she shook her head a little. Maybe if they found something soon things would go back to normal, it wouldn’t do to send Goran back to the Kennel just yet, it wouldn’t be fair to the gargoyle at all, even though she had impressed upon him the importance of staying at home… Apparently that hadn’t mattered to the gargoyle, however, and here he was, glowing purple and glowering at the Longneck. Hey, they were both purple though, and Jack sent waves of amusement over to the gargoyle for a little bit, wondering if he would calm down enough to feel them from her or not. If not, she didn’t know what to do other than to feed him every now and then, but that got old pretty quickly and she didn’t know what else to do at the moment.

Goran snorted a little after a few moments and then turned back to digging. As though he would respond to them being somewhat alike, he didn’t trust the revived fossil, even though the woman seemed to. He was going to have nothing in common with the fossil if the had it his way, but he also knew the woman and knew she trusted what she worked with, she’d trusted him, hadn’t she? He glanced over at her fondly for a moment when she wasn’t looking and then glowered at the fossil who was still trying to find a way out of the cart that didn’t involve dropping to the ground and hurting himself. Snorting, the sound of rocks clacking together, the gargoyle rolled his eyes a little and then kept on digging next to the woman. He knew what she was like, but that didn’t make this any better or easier, really. All he knew was, he wanted to get this done and then go home maybe, or at least lose the fossil somewhere. It wasn’t even the right color for her, who decided that pink would be good for the woman? Snorting again, he shook his head and then shoved his head into the dirt, wondering if he would eventually find something or not.

Jack eyed the two animals for a little while, Goran didn’t seem to care much about Bigfoot anymore, but the Longneck still seemed to want to be his friend. Things would be fine eventually, Goran might actually get a little jealous of how big she was hoping the Longneck would get, but that was alright at the same time, she didn’t know what to expect from his growth, and that was alright. Glancing in the cart as she and Goran dug in the ground, eyes behind the Longneck for a moment to check on things, she saw the nutrients she had bought and smiled. They would be fed to him in the mines while they were there and then she would take him back to the museum for them to activate his growth. That was going to be the best part of the whole thing, she knew, and she grinned as she hoped that everything would go well. Goran was determined to find something good, however, no matter what the weird fossil was doing. The woman chuckled at his determination, and she hoped that everything would be alright. She just wanted to make sure that everything would go well, including the nutrients, but what could she really do?

She just wished they would be able to find something soon, this was pretty uneventful without a finding and all that. Still though, being with Goran and Bigfoot at the same time was interesting, and she wished she had something good to do with it all no matter what. Smiling, she dug into the ground next to her gargoyle and kept one eye on the fossil. Everything would work out alright in the end, she knew, but getting him grown was going to take forever and she didn’t know if she had the strength to do it at least three more times with her other ones. A little sigh escaped her, she had really overstepped her bounds a little in reviving so many of them at once, and what was she going to do with the little bug she had gotten anyway? Oh whatever, she would figure it out, she knew, and she smiled a little as she thought about it all. At least they were different than Houluh and Sarane, which she of course still needed to work with as well, but this was a nice change of pace right now, and she smiled at the little Longneck, wondering how he would look fully grown.

The little Longneck wasn’t sure why the glowing gargoyle didn’t want to be his friend, but it was starting to upset him a little. Why wouldn’t they be good together anyway? He curled up in the cart and pouted for a bit as he stared at Goran, and the woman gave him a little smile, reaching out to pat him on the head a bit before she started to dig again, hoping to find something soon. It was good to bond with her animals, as always, but the main reason she had brought Bigfoot to the mines was to find a few things and all that. Hopefully some crystals, that would be great, she knew with a smile, and she hoped that everything would be alright for her new node she wanted. Maybe she could get that one guy to do it at the moment? Hmm, it would be nice, definitely, and the woman continued to dig, hoping they could find something good no matter what. At least Goran had come along with them, that was certainly a good addition to the group, even though he completely ignored Bigfoot now. Smiling, she shook her head, she didn’t know how to help them, but maybe she could get him interested in the nutrients or something.

Jack had high hopes for the Longneck, she hoped he would get huge, and that was why she bought the nutrients she had bought at Nature’s Bounty not too long ago. Glancing at the Longneck, she nodded a little, he was still laying there sullenly staring at the gargoyle, probably wishing they could play together. It would be fun seeing him run at least, maybe she should just train him up or something, that might go better for her right now. Giving a little shrug, she continued to dig alongside the gargoyle and wondered again if his colors would shift a bit when he grew. It wasn’t that she didn’t like pink so much… she didn’t, but that wasn’t the point. It just seemed odd to have a fossil that was pink, well, very light purple, but still pretty pink and reddish looking she argued with herself. A laugh escaped her, and she stopped digging to take a little drink, wiping her brow on the back of her hand. It was hot down here in the mines, most people would think it to be cool, but for now it was hot, she knew they were pretty deep in and close to the lava that was rumored to be down there. Giving a little sigh, she went back to digging, hoping to find something soon enough.

Things were weird on the surface right now, she thought as she dug alongside Goran with Bigfoot still curled up in the cart. It was raining pretty good out there, or at least it had been when they entered the mines, but it had been a cold rain, which she hated more than anything. Cold water was only good for drinking, in her mind at least. As she shook her head, she hoped that things would work out for her, and she gave a little chuckle as she thought about it for now. Jack had a lot planned out in the future, so what was she doing right now with the Longneck and the gargoyle? It didn’t make sense, but sometimes a person needed a break, and so this was her break. All she could do was worry though, worry she wasn’t giving enough attention to some of her animals and hoping they didn’t begrudge her for it. Smiling softly, she thought of her animals and all that, and she hoped that things would be alright in the end of it all and all that. Jack had a few ideas of things to do other than this, and maybe she would actually take a little break before she continued with the other revived fossils. It made sense, didn’t it?

Goran wouldn’t admit to being a little frustrated at not finding anything either, but the woman knew he was due to their link. She sighed a little and patted him on the head, they would find something soon enough, but this was why she had wanted to leave him at home, she knew it would bother him not to find something for quite some time. It didn’t matter if she was supposed to be here with the Longneck either, she knew it was going to be alright no matter what. With Bigfoot finally sleeping in the cart, she looked inside for a moment and smiled, it was about time for his first nutrient, she knew, and she wished he was awake for her to give it to him. Oh well, she could do that once he woke up and all that, and she hoped it wouldn’t be too terribly late to give it to him. Something good would come of all of this, she knew, and it didn’t matter if they found something or not, as long as they all had each other then things would be alright. Smiling, she continued to dig, but then moved to a different spot after a little bit. Goran was inside of the hole and digging at the walls of it at this point, so she swapped her shovel for her pickaxe and then started to swing it against the wall.

Jack hoped to find something in the wall of the mines, but wouldn’t be too surprised if she didn’t at that. The whole trip seemed to be a bit of a bust in the stone department, which was fine because she could eventually feed Bigfoot a nutrient after this trip, hopefully more after all of this happened, but she wasn’t too sure about that. Sighing, she shook her head and swung the pickaxe against the wall a few more times until several rocks tumbled out of the wall. Good, there was something to start on, and as Goran dug at the walls of the hole a little bit, she eyed Bigfoot for a moment to make sure he was alright. The little pink dinosaur was sleeping now, which was good because he wasn’t in the way, but at the same time she wondered what she should do with things right now. Hmm, it didn’t really matter she knew, but at the same time she hoped that everything would be well in the end. Was she doing this right even, growing him like this? Maybe she should have done something new or taken him to the Mansion even to see what they could find there?

Surely this was the better option, however, she thought as she looked over at the sleeping Longneck. Hmm, maybe she should have brought Toothy instead, but there was no real way to be sure at this point. Frowning, she rubbed her face, getting some dirt smeared on her face a little, and thought about all of her options. She could have just had him sit there while she was training a Houluh or something, two birds one stone and all that, but she couldn’t justify doing that at the moment. Maybe she would do it sometime later, but there was no real way to be sure at the moment. She really needed to work with Moonbeam a bit, which was an issue, but what else could she really do right now? Honestly she needed crystals, she needed a lot of crystals, but there wasn’t much she could do about it if she wasn’t inside the mines at any given time. She really needed to work in the mines in order to get what she wanted, and she frowned a little as she glanced over at Goran. Well… at least he was there to help her out a little bit, she had to give him that much, which was way more than she would have had if he hadn’t shown up.

Goran didn’t seem to care much one way or another, he just wanted to dig, which is what he was doing at the moment. The walls of the hole were pretty stable, and he finally hopped out and shook himself off, a little gravel and dirt flying off of him as he did so. The gargoyle then moved to a different area and started to dig again, that spot had been fruitless, and so he had decided moving to another area would be for the best at this time. He growled under his breath at the Longneck again who was starting to wake up, and Jack shushed him with a frown. A snort escaped him in protest but he went back to digging, he knew what she was after and he would try to help her out as best as she could, but there were some issues he knew might happen along the way. This area wasn’t very stable, which was a problem, and he knew at any moment the ground and walls could shift and that would be bad for everyone involved, even the weird fossil. Not that he cared about the fossil, of course, but still, it was annoying to have to worry about it for the woman’s sake, which was what he was doing.

Stirring in his sleep a little, the Longneck was starting to wake up due to the sharp noises of the pickaxe against the wall. It was hard to sleep when that was happening, he was still just a baby after all, and one bright eye opened before the other one did as well. Stretching out, he yawned big and wished there was something he could do at the moment for the woman, he actually kind of enjoyed being around her, and she was the one who had brought him back, right? Yawning again, he rubbed his head against the side of the cart and wondered what he should do to help out, if anything, but the woman gently pressed him back into the cart when he tried to hop out. ”No buddy, you won’t do much good out here yet, you just woke up!” Jack told him with a kind smile, rubbing his neck a little as she said so. Things would work out for her no matter what, of course, and she just hoped that she could get another node after this trip. Not that she would be able to find five more crystals that she needed, but still, it was a nice thought no matter what, and the main thing that was driving her at this point.
