Life was weird sometimes, she didn't know what was going to happen in the gardens today and all that, but that was the issue right? Jack sighed and patted Peace on the head, knowing she would have to start training her soon if they were going to get this done. Hopefully she would gain some more experience at this point, but that was hard for her to imagine right now. Frowning, the woman shook her head, unsure of what she was going to do with this fence though. It was difficult for her to do on her own, but it wasn't like she had anyone to help her. Maybe Nina would at this point, but she didn't know what her friend was doing at the moment, and it was going to be fine though, she could do it on her own. She didn't want to run to Nina every time she had some problems!

Maybe... maybe she should give her a Ribbon? Jack eyed the halfbreed for a moment, she didn't know what to do about her right now, but that was fine in the long run she supposed. Chewing on her lip, she figured it would be easier to get her to use the magic she knew she had at the moment, but... how was she supposed to explain it to her at this? The woman rubbed her face before digging out some more posts, unsure as to what she should be doing right now when it was all said and done. Peace didn't know what she was contemplating, which was probably a good thing, but Jack just felt odd no matter what happened she figured. She didn't see her doing all that much with Peace after the contest or anything, which was an issue, so should she tie up a Ribbon on her at this point?

Jack dug out the last post for this section of fence and wiped her brow off on the back of her arm, glancing up toward the sun. It was midday, or about there, and she sighed a little as she thought about it. There wasn't much else she could do today aside from this, and this was getting to be a little more than she had wanted to do today. Oh well, it didn't matter much she supposed, but she still hated the fact that she was doing this right now instead of focusing on Peace. The woman shook her head a little and patted Peace on the back before pulling a spare Ribbon out of her bag and staring at it before staring at the halfbreed again. This would make things easier, of course, but... was it going to be worth it in the long run or anything like that?

After she got this section up she could take a little break and start training, or at least she figured that much. Jack chewed on a fingernail as she stared at the Ribbon in her hand, this was a cheat she knew, but she would feel bad about it but didn't know how else to do this for the moment. Giving a little sigh, she shook her head and started to put the fence in again, the wrought iron part, she wasn't so far gone that she didn't remember which kind of fence she was putting up at least, which Peace was pleased with. She was so intent on what she was doing though, that she almost forgot the halfbreed was there, which was no good if they were going to start training sometime soon. Heaving a small sigh, she knew she would end up putting the Ribbon on the halfbreed, she just wished she wasn't going to go that far.

[Peace: Bathe in Light - 1]
Night would be better to train this in than midday, but she figured the halfbreed could help with some of the darker spots now that they were ready to train a couple of things. She sighed as she looked at the Ribbon in her hands and then shrugged a little, whatever, she would get this done and then they could enter into the contest. Tying the Ribbon around one of the halfbreed's antlers, she rubbed her on the head and was butted up again. "Hello Peace, how do you like it?" she asked with a smile, and the halfbreed cooed back at her a little. She didn't know how chatty she would be, but this was going to work no matter what. There were times she saw her create areas of light, and would focus on that right now. "Can you make a light for me, Peace? I need to see in this hole," she said softly, rubbing the halfbreed's head.

[Peace: Bathe in Light - 2]
The halfbreed seemed a little taken aback by the request, but she thought about it and looked around the garden. While it was midday, it was a little overcast, and plants couldn't grow without light. She could see where the woman was going with this, but it was hard to do it on command, usually it just happened whenever she needed it to. Concentrating, the halfbreed furrowed her brow as she tried to summon the light within her. Jack watched her and rubbed her back, murmuring words of encouragement until a little light was produced from the halfbreed. Jack cheered and gave her a treat, something a little demeaning sometimes when an animal was intelligent enough, but Peace would need it to keep her strength up she knew. All she could do was urge her on, and hopefully things would work out in the long run whenever she thought about it for now.

[Peace: Bathe in Light - 3]
This was going to be a little easier than she thought, or at least that's what Jack hoped, and she asked her again. "Can you make a light, Peace?" she asked again, motioning toward the hole she had dug. Peace furrowed her brow again and started to pant a little, not being able to sweat was an issue, but she made do with what she had. The halfbreed closed her eyes and concentrated, and a wavering light appeared. Not big or strong, not able to cast out shadows just yet, but the woman knew she was on the way to it, and that's what she needed right now. Training always took awhile after all, but she wasn't sure what else to do at the moment, aside from keep the halfbreed on track. She gave her a treat and patted her on the head, sure that this was going to work no matter what.

[Peace: Bathe in Light - 4]
It was a good thing Jack had this idea, it would be perfect for the contest, but she had to learn a few things on command before they could enter. Tomorrow was the last day before it was over, which was an issue, but they could get this done no matter what she knew with a little smile. Jack motioned to the hole again, "Make a light, Peace!" The halfbreed nodded, understanding the words a little better than the average animal, and concentrated, trying to summon a great deal of light like she could off hand sometimes, but it wasn't quite working. She needed more stamina if they were going to get this done and all that. Jack patted her on the head as light was summoned, though not enough for her to be fully pleased with things and be able to move on, but still, any progress was progress, and she gave her another treat with a smile.

[Peace: Bathe in Light - 5]
She was able to summon a bit more light than when they had first started, which was good, but Jack knew she could cast away shadows in the whole area, so they still had a bit of work to do. Maybe she would take her to the Gym and help things out after a bit, but that might not work too well either, she didn't know. "Make a light!" Jack encouraged the halfbreed, and Peace concentrated, staring at the whole and summoning some light, a little more than she had already. The animals in the garden seemed confused, and some ran away while others came to investigate. Jack chuckled and tossed treats to all of them, making sure to give the biggest one to Peace for doing so well. She still needed to brighten up the light and widen the range of it, but that could come a little while later.

[Peace: Bathe in Light - 6]
Peace was doing well, but Jack knew she could do so much better. She leaned over the little hole and smiled at the halfbreed, "Make a light!" The halfbreed bobbed her head and focused, bringing forth a greater light than she had so far, though still not what the woman was hoping for. That was fine, she just hoped that they could get this done before the contest stopped taking registrations. That was the difficult part, she knew, but hey, at least they were working on it, she supposed with a small laugh. As Jack scratched the back of her head with one hand, she tossed a treat to Peace with the other and patted her on the head. Things would be fine no matter what, but she had to hope that everything would work out sooner rather than later. Nodding to herself, the woman decided they needed to push on if they were going to get this done.

[Peace: Bathe in Light - 7]
The thing about training was you needed to reinforce good behavior, and now that they could understand each other a little better with the Ribbon, they would be able to get things done rather quickly. It was the experience gain that always got her though, and she sighed a little as she tried to figure out what to do about that while she trained. At least this was getting her to get things a little better so far, right? "Make a light, Peace!" Jack told her, patting her on the head, and the halfbreed focused as best as she could in order to bring forth a light, sweeping away a few shadows, but nothing much more than that yet. The woman still tossed her a treat, she had done well so far, and she was quite excited about this right now. It was going to be fine in the future, but right now it would be alright.

[Peace: Bathe in Light - 8]
Patting the little halfbreed on the head, she wondered just how interesting she could make things for the contest. This was going to be fun at least, if she could get this done that was. Jack chewed on her lip and then shook her head for a moment, she would have to figure out what to do for the future, focus on the now. Peace lit up the area a little better this time when Jack asked her to, and was given a treat for a job well done. This was definitely going to make things easier, and she wondered if she was going to work with her, with her own magic, to partner up with her a little as things happened. The woman chuckled and shook her head as she worked on the fence a little while longer, giving the halfbreed a little break for a bit, hoping that things would be fine.

[Peace: Bathe in Light - 9]
Things were turning out great, and she got another section of fence put in before they started up again, making sure Peace could do what she was supposed to do in the training and the contest. Peace looked over at the woman, the Ribbon dangling from her right antler, and tilted her head. She wasn't sure what they were supposed to be doing, but this was interesting anyway she figured. "Make a light!" Jack told her with a smile, and the halfbreed focused, bringing forth a bright light that seemed to wipe out all shadows. Jack whooped for joy and tossed her a bigger treat, rubbing her head a little as she did so. This was great, just once more she figured and then things would be finished for now. Of course she wanted to teach her how to use some of her magic, but that could wait a little while either way.

[Peace: Bathe in Light - 10]
Jack patted Peace on her head again and then said the command once more, "Make a light please!" Peace bobbed her head and closed her eyes before the whole area was bathed in light, and the woman could see the bottom of the post hole she had dug. There were a few worms down there, but nothing to be upset about. Jack cheered happily and hugged the halfbreed around her neck, pleased with the outcome of the training so far. She didn't know what else to do right now, but still tossed her a treat and rubbed her head again. It was great, she was learning rather quickly, but these were things she knew how to do anyway, it was the next thing that was going to take some getting used to she supposed. As she thought about it, she worked on the fence some more, chewing on her lip and trying to decide how to do this.

[Peace: Create Water - 1]
After getting the next section of fence set up and in place, the woman turned to the halfbreed and frowned a little. She had never taught any of her animals how to tap into their natural magic, and she was training a plant based animal how to make water. Really it wasn't that far of a stretch, water helped things to grow after all, but how was she going to do this in the first place? She chewed on her lip a little and then stood in front of Peace before trying to explain it to her, "Okay, I need you to feel the magic within you and create a bubble of water, can you do that?" It was vague and hard to understand sometimes, how she tried to train things, but for now it was good enough for her and Peace frowned a little as she tried to think if she could do that.
