As you work in the garden, you notice a small creature wriggling in a beautiful fruit hanging off a nearby plant. Upon closer inspection, you see that it is a disgusting slimy worm-like creature. Fearing for your plants, you take an even closer look to discover that all of the fruit in your garden is riddled with holes - there is indeed a worm infestation here. Not only will you have to remove all the current harvest from your garden, but your pets seem dissapointed...

Jack sighed as she looked around. This just wasn't right, she couldn't catch a break it would seem, but... that was alright she figured, at least it gave her something to do. As Ravi ate up the nutrients she gave him, she watched the fruits for a bit and saw the worms before sighing. All that work she did yesterday was done now, and she couldn't do a thing about it except to get rid of it at this point. Ah well, she wouldn't worry too much about it, she really just needed to acclimate Ravi to herself at this point she figured with a low yawn. So much work though, that was the issue, and she wondered if she should train Ravi up a little instead of working in the garden at this point, but that wouldn't work either, she really needed to take care of this infestation. What an annoyance.

Best get to work, she sighed as she pulled her hat down a little lower on her head. This was annoying, and she didn't know what she was going to do first, but that was fine she thought with a little sigh. Ah well, it was something to do, she had to look at it that way, though she was going to have to undo so much work she had already done. Whatever, it probably needed to happen anyway she thought with a frown as she started to pull some of the seeds and plants out of the raised bed she had worked on the day before first. There wasn't much she could do about it, she had to get it done, but she knew that things were going to happen no matter what. All of this would have to be burned as well, she couldn't risk getting the worms in the compost pile.

At the very least, while Ravi was eating his nutrients like a good little fossil, she noticed the plants were coming up pretty easily. Well, that was either a good thing or a very bad thing. If the roots were all chewed up, she would have to spray the soil with some kind of insecticide and then bring in a completely new batch. That was the worst case scenario, and, she had to face it, probably what was going on at the moment. It surprised her, however, that she hadn't noticed any of this the day before, but maybe she just hadn't been paying too much attention to it at this point either. That was highly possible, though she knew she liked to pay attention no matter what. Giving a little sigh, she kept on pulling the plants from the raised bed and yawned a little bit, she was tired from all the work the day before.

While the plants came up a little easier than she wanted them to, at least they were coming up and she didn't have to worry about it too much. Honestly she would probably just ship in some new soil for her raised beds no matter what, which was going to be the best option no matter what happened. Frowning a little, she glanced over at Ravi who was wandering around a little as he stared at her a little bit, trying to figure out what he wanted to do. He didn't want to leave the shade, however, which was an issue as well she thought, but that was alright, it was her own fault for bringing him to the garden when it was so hot out and all that. Waving to him, she hoped they would bond well no matter what happened, and she knew he would be the best he could be.

It would work out in the long run, she had needed to replace a lot of her items in the garden for quite some time already, it was time to do it she supposed. Giving a little yawn, she debated taking a bit of a nap at the same time, though it was going to be fine she thought with a sigh. What was she going to do right now anyway, she wondered, if she didn't have this to do? Hopefully she would find a few things sooner or later, but there was no guarantee she thought with another sigh. Things were just out of hand right now, she didn't know what she was going to do at the moment aside from gardening. Jack pushed her hair back and plopped her hat back onto her head. It was going to be a long day, she knew that much at least.

While she worried a little about the soil, she knew that burning things would work out better, and she eyed the gardens for a moment. All she had to do was displace her animals for a little while and she could just burn the whole thing and start anew. The pond wouldn't light on fire, of course, neither would the decorative rocks and stones, and the gazebo was fireproof as well. Raising an eyebrow, she went over to her bag next to Ravi who was still pacing for the moment and dug through it for a moment or two. Finally she found what she was looking for, a lighter. Hmmm... now this was an interesting thought she figured with a small grin, though she could light a fire with her magic, she would rather save it for now just in case. She could also summon bits of water if it got out of hand, but she didn't think that would happen.

This would work she figured as she started to round up all of her animals. It was a trial, of course, to get them all to cooperate, but she eventually moved them where they needed to be and moved Ravi to her shoulder along with her bag. Tilting her head, she lit the lighter and touched it to some of the grass. Hopefully this would get the bugs in the soil as well, she could rebuild anything that burned down at least, which was a good thing, she was very handy it would seem. Stretching out, she watched as the flames caught on the grass and began to expand little by little. This was a controlled burn, which was good for plants, to be honest, she just needed to watch it and make sure it didn't get out of hand. That would be the worst part of it she thought with a small frown.

As long as this worked out the way she wanted it to, then everything would be well, of course that was assuming quite a bit on her part. A frown crossed her face and she wished there was something she could do to guarantee it would work, but there was no way to do that at the moment of course. Sighing a little, she watched the flames lick up a little higher and go through the plants. As long as the animals were safe then things would be alright in the long run. She just needed to have a little patience and wait around with some water as the fire moved across the garden. She hoped that the gazebo would stay up at least, she really didn't want to have to build that again, though she would if she had to she suspected. Grinning a little, the woman watched for a bit with Ravi on her shoulder.

Jack stuffed her hands into her pockets as she watched the fire, as did Ravi. This was going to be good she knew with a little smile on her face, and Ravi seemed to know it as well. Whatever happened, she thought it would be interesting to see what went on at this point, though it didn't seem to go too quickly, which was a bit of an issue. If anything she could at least spur it on with some wind, but she didn't want to have to resort to that. Thinking about it, she wished there was another wya, but this was the only thing she could think of really, hopefully she wouldn't lose any of those flowers if they were around... Frowning, she thought about it, that bothered her a little, but there wasn't much she could do about it now, she knew with a small sigh escaping her.

Ravi wasn't much help at the moment, he was just on her shoulder watching the fire. This was the issue she knew, and she sighed a little bit at the same time, though she knew his training would work out later on and all that. Still though, she frowned a little, wondering what to do at the moment other than watching the fire. Tilting her head, she thought she saw a few bits of color in the fire, and she reached out to see, hoping it wasn't a flower until she realized it wasn't. Breathing a sigh of relief, she hoped that things would work out in the long run for her as she put some of the produce into her bag. They didn't seem to be infested, which was a good thing, but she didn't know what else to do with them either. How had they avoided the fire anyway? Time for study, she figured.

They would need to be studied as she looked them over before stuffing them into her bag. This was fine, she could do this later on she figured with a little sigh. Ah well, it was going to be fine she knew with a little frown, and she hoped that things would be alright in the same time. Whatever happened, she knew that she needed to get this finished so she could restart her garden all the way. Jack smiled and put her hands on her hips, hoping that things would be alright in the long run. Tapping her chin, she hoped to find another flower, she didn't know why, but that was alright no matter what. Ah well she thought with a chuckle, and patted Ravi on the head at the same time. Tilting her head a little, she wondered about that though, maybe Ravi would be best if she started training him now.

Jack just wished there were something she could do at the moment, debating what to do with Ravi while the fire was going. It was nice and controlled she figured, she didn't need to keep quite as close of an eye on them at the moment as she had been, and she wondered about the flowers again. Why were they suddenly in the gardens when they never had been before? That was the issue she figured, and one she really wanted to come across the answer to, but there wasn't anything she could do about it at the moment she knew with a chuckle. Oh well, it would be fine in the long run, though she really needed to figure this out if she was going to be happy. Ravi just chirped on her shoulder for now and sighed a little, hoping that things would work out no matter what, he was bored though.

Given what she knew of the species, it wouldn't be bad for her to teach him some basic manners, but... she really wanted to wait and see what he looked like when he was big as well, which was difficult to tell from here. Giving a sigh, she gave him the side eye and shook her head as he chirped questioningly. This was going to be fine she knew, no matter what happened, and she would get things worked out no matter what. Smiling, she patted him on the head again and kept a single eye on the fire for now, it was almost across the garden she noticed, and it was going to be fine either way. Jack figured they would plant things soon enough after the soil had some time to fix itself a little, hopefully some of the worms and stuff would help out with fertilizer, and she would use the compost as well.
