Considering some of the other objectives that had been up in the past, Kadin felt that this one was pretty relaxed. He was sure that there had been more difficult things on the board that he could be doing, but at the end of the day he didn't really want to. Something relaxing for the evening sounded like the perfect thing that he could do in order to round out the night in a nice relaxing manner. And, of course, he needed to bring a houluh along in order to do this. He wanted to make sure to spend time with his houluh so that they could get plenty of experience while they were out and about. He didn't want to risk them wandering off either so he made sure to put the houluh on a leash while they were going out to do all of this. He was ready to go. 1

The two made their way out to where the show was supposed to be, no real rush to it. Kadin wasn't sure if it was going to be crowded or sparsely populated so he steeled himself just in case it did end up being pretty crowded. He hated dealing with too many people, but since it was going to be dark and they'd all be watching a show anyway, he figured that he'd probably be able to stand it. He headed over with a blanket to set out on the grass while they watched the show, laying it out on the ground and sitting down on top of it so that he could be comfortable. He felt like he had found a good spot, a bit out of the way so that people couldn't come over to him unless they really planned on doing it. He hoped they wouldn't be too crowded.

As he sat down on the blanket he offered his houluh a spot by his side, encouraging the pup to lay down adn relax. The houluh didn't particularly seem to want to lay down, too excited by watching all the different people around them. It stood up on its toes, straining at the end of the leash that Kadin had it on, and looked around at the crowds of people. It almost seemed like it was searching for something, although of course there wasn't really anything out here for it to try and search for. They had never been here before and Kadin hadn't encouraged it to find anything. Kadin watched the houluh and allowed it to get its energy out however it was doing it, not really worried about it even if it wouldn't lay down at the end of the day. He wanted to let it relax at its own pace.

Forcing it certainly wouldn't do anything but stress out him and the houluh both. So instead of worrying about any of that, he just stayed there and calm and tried to let the houluh eventually relax at its own pace once it realized that there wasn't anything here that it should get so worked up about. It seemed as if this would take a while since the houluh was so stimulated by the people wandering around, but Kadin could be patient about it. He would wait this out until the houluh could relax at its own pace. He leaned back on the blanket, now waiting for both the houluh to calm down and for the trope to start putting on their performance. He wanted them to start soon just so he had something to focus on besides the houluh and the people around them, but it would all come in good time.

After so long of just sitting around and no one really coming over to them and nothing exciting happening, the houluh seemed to finally start to relax. It first sat down next to Kadin, its tail still wagging slowly as it watched the people go all around. Until, eventually, it laid down next to him. Its tail continued to thump while it was watching what was happening, but it didn't go up to its feet again, instead trying to stay more relaxed as things were going on. Eventually, after time, it was able to calm down enough to actually look at Kadin instead of whatever else was going on around it, whining a little bit since no one was doing anything interesting with him. He wanted to play! Kadin had to chuckle to himself when the houluh finally put its attention on him, wondering at how it managed to not take too long.

He pet the houluh, giving it the attention it wanted as a reward for eventually laying down and no longer acting crazy about paying attention to all of the people around. The houluh's tail thumped on the blanket and it rolled over to get some good quality belly rubs in while it was getting advantage of all of this good attention. Kadin rubbed it all over, pleased to just be spending some time here with the houluh, telling it that it's a good boy and everything. After a little longer, the show finally seemed to be starting to go. Kadin continued to idly pet the houluh, watching as the show got started and the actors got all situated. They started with announcements and asking everyone to start getting ready for the show so Kadin settled in to prepare to watch the show, unsure if it was one he'd even end up liking or not.

But it wasn't that big of an ask for him to be here and sacrifice one calm evening in order to watch this show so he wasn't going to complain about it too bad. The houluh started to nudge at him when Kadin stopped petting him to focus on the show. So instead Kadin started petting him even more, smiling at the houluh as the show started in earnest. It was starting off slowly, with plenty of background information and other things they needed to know about the setting before the plot could move further. Kadin thought it was good enough, although he wasn't super into it. He was still enjoying watching it, even occasionally getting distracted and not petting the houluh when he would suddenly feel it nudging at its hand in order to remind him to continue petting it again. So helpful, that houluh, to make sure he knew.

Kadin continued to idly pet the houluh throughout the performance. His hand was tired, but the houluh was cute, so he wasn't going to complain about it. He made a good companion while watching the performance. At a certain point the houluh even seemed to be paying attention, too, while Kadin was watching the show. It noticed his attention and so it wanted to watch, too, to see what was so interesting about it. It wanted to mimic him because that's what he was doing. This also made Kadin chuckle a little bit, how the houluh was trying to be so in tune with him and what he was doing. He left it to its own devices, allowing it to do what it wanted while they were here. It was funny, but he wanted to allow it to have independence while also paying attention to him most of the time for him.

The houluh was really being very good. It was a good idea to have it out here and to have this time spent with it so that it could have the benefit of enjoying this time together and learning how to be relaxed in a sitting like this. He wanted to make sure that it became a well rounded adult when it was full grown, able to be stable of temperament and well rounded when they were out and about in the labs. He didn't want it to react too badly to other creatures, no matter what they were, and he wanted it to be able to rely on him to get it out of situations where it might feel uncomfortable. With this he knew that they'd be able to get a good partnership. How he was able to get it to calm down today in this setting was proof of that.

In the end, Kadin was able to spend a very pleasant evening with the houluh, watching the show and the actors practicing their craft. They really were quite skilled and clearly into the show they were performing. Kadin was having a good time watching, here with his houluh, and felt that together they would be able to enter more situations like this in the future and easily conquer them together. All that was needed was to let the houluh get exposed to more situations, just like this one, and as time went by they would become good partners no matter what situation it was brought into. It would be good, in the end, that they continued this relationship building in different crowded situations, making sure that they were able to be solid and proud no matter what area they were in. Even more crowded, more stressful situations wouldn't be able to bring them down.
