After the fantastically successful mission last time, it was no surprise to anyone that Skram was back at the board and looking for any good pictures that seemed like it'd be an easy job that'd get them some more free food. Their poor little runner did its best to keep up with them as they blazed back to the notice board, looking over all the pieces of paper with a critical eye. They eventually landed on one particular board that looked all fucking. FANCY. There was elegant, looping script and a picture of a HUGE monster of an armored bear next to some old hag. Skram hopped up a few times, claws scraping on the ground, until they finally grabbed the paper and were able to drag it down to examine it more closely. Fancy writing, hmm. She must be wealthy. A HUGE ASS pet. That meant it needed to have a lot of food. 1

It'd be so fucking easy to skim a little food off the top. With how much it usually ate, no one would probably even notice. There were probably mountains of food stored in that house just to feed that god damn monster alone. Alright. They were gonna do this. Direction decided, Skram tossed the paper over their shoulder and raced off in the direction that the map indicated this old hag's house was at. They'd go there, avoid the monster thing, and just eat all they wanted out of its food stores! It'd be a huge win!
Their poor little runner leapt up and caught the paper, shaking it around in their mouth for a bit before noticing that Skram had taken off. With a frightened yelp that had the paper falling out of their mouth, they took off after the weird master they had, hoping to not get lost in the crowds.

It was difficult to keep up with Skram, just like last time. When the weird master was on a mission, they moved through the crowds like a fish through water, never stopping or pausing, always confident in the direction they were going. It was almost admirable if it wasn't so damn hard to keep up with them with the runner's little legs! It was huffing and panting horribly by the time it finally caught up to Skram.
They'd practically raced there way all the way here. Now they were standing at a crossroads towards a couple of the residential areas of the city, squinting as they tried to figure out where to go next. The runner stopped next to them, the paper dropping out of their mouth as they started to pant to try and cool off. Skram gave the paper only a glance before scoffing and confidently walking down one of the roads.

They were very, very sure that they were going in the right direction and they walked with extreme confidence that way. The runner, not knowing any better, raced after them, leaving the paper with the posting and the actual directions behind on the road. Probably unsurprising to anyone reading this, Skram did not go in the right direction. In fact, they spent just as long looking for the damn house as they'd probably have to spend watching the PHIL. When the finally DID get there, they didn't even give any thought for being turned away because they were so damn late. They just whacked their hand against the door in something like a knock and waited for someone to let them inside. They were here to do a job and steal some food! Nothing else mattered in their mind, not even the giant PHIL that was supposed to be in this very house.

They weren't thinking about it at all until the door opened and they were suddenly confronted with the legs of some old lady and the PHIL standing behind them. The woman didn't even notice Skram at first, but that PHIL sure did. She was looking around as if there was going to be someone else standing around there, frowning as if there was actually someone else standing there and ran off after knocking on the door. The PHIL, however, growled lowly at the small creature standing on the doorstep. Skram tore their eyes away from the PHIL, looking up at the lady with a frown when she didn't acknowledge them at all. They gave her a few more moments, but eventually got bored of waiting for her to finally notice her. Before she could close the door in their face, Skram decided to speak up and make sure she actually knew they were there.

"Hey! Hey lady!" They said, waving one of their little claws hands above their head to get her attention. "Down here ya kn- miss. M'am." They quickly straightened up their spine once the women actually looked down at them, trying to turn their frown into something less severe and more neutral. The woman looked surprised to see someone like Skram here to do a job taking care of something like her PHIL. But Skram was here and the lady obvious still needed someone to watch her PHIL. Still, she stood there in the door, hesitating, as if she was still thinking about closing the door on their face. Skram frowned up at her some more, wondering if she actually had the balls to go through it, before they finally got tired of standing outside to say, "You gonna let me in or not? I'm here to watch your PHIL or whatever."

That seemed to finally get her off her butt. She hesitated a moment or so longer before finally opening the door further, enough to them them inside. Skram quickly scrambled in before she could change her mind. They weren't going to miss out on this opportunity to get some free food, not at all! Not after it was there hard to get in to begin with! The lady hesitated before closing the door behind them. After waiting for a bit, she finally did, and Skram relaxed once they heard the door click into place. It was only minute later that they noticed the reason why the door was left open was so that their runner could get inside, too. Skram rolled their eyes and looked around the place, trying to case it to see what sort of food they could probably expect from a place like this one. They didn't care about much else.

They only tensed up all over again when they suddenly felt hot breath on their neck. Skram hissed in surprise, spinning around to see the lady's PHIL standing behind them. The old hag tittered about it, talking about how her pet was so grumpy sometimes and she hoped that they would be able to handle her, were they sure they wanted to take up a job like this... Skram honestly gave up listening at some point.
"Listen, lady, m'am, I'm here for the job. I can do it. Just tell me what I need to do and that's that." They said, finally looked at her again and crossing their arms. "I'm here to do whatever job you need me to do." The women hesitated more, still not really sure what she wanted to do. She eventually seemed to sigh and handed them a list, pointing out exactly what needed to be done with their pet.

Skram skimmed the list, pretending as if they could actually read the damn thing, before nodding decisively and looking back up at her. "Yup sure, I can do it. You can leave whenever lady."
She didn't seem to really know how to take being addressed like this. The women took an awfully long time getting ready, putting her things together at a snail's pace until she was FINALLY gone. Skram let out a BIG huff and tossed the paper over their shoulder. Their little runner jumped up and snapped it into their mouth, shaking it happily. Skram then turned to the PHIL, hands on their hips, as they sized up the beast. Which was. Uh. Easily ten times their size... and maybe a hundred times their weight. Nevertheless, Skram didn't seem bothered at all by this. "Ok, so we're gonna be best buddies, ok? Show me where your food is stored and I'll use my thumbs to open it up."

The PHIL huffed, sniffing at Skram curiously. It didn't seem to know what to make of the little lizard even more so than the owner. Eventually, Skram got tired of the investigation. Apparently the PHIL wasn't going to be any help here so they turned away to find the damn food themself. More for them that way! They scrambled right to the kitchen, almost instinctually knowing where it was, and started digging through cabinets and other places to see where the heck the food was stored in this place. They eventually did find it and, despite the PHIL not helping them search it out before, they did end up sharing food with it by the handle. The runner, too, finally got a good snack out of all of this hassle. It was lucky that the PHIL primarily seemed to eat meat, at least, they'd get plenty more food for all of us this way.
