[Botany] As you wander the grounds, you notice that there are plenty of areas that aren't as well maintained as the active gym and training areas. There are many small gardens, ponds, and various other hidden treasures around the Keep. Perhaps, if you have some spare time and a green thumb, you could coax some life back into the rose bushes. Maybe you could even persuade the vines to stop trying to strangle their neighbors and to grow calmly up the trellises. If you look hard enough, you might even find some fruit trees in dire need of some TLC.

Who would have guessed that crystal inlaid plants could be moody. If Flare hadn't been through the crap he's seen since entering the core years ago and further on, this odd situation would pass him by. Because who would donate these sort of specimens to a bunch of soldiers. Not in the pitch an item at your head sort of tantrum moody, but more willing to seek tendrils out and start strangling the next door plant sneakily moody. Slow enough to not notice until the other pot starts turning brown from lack of oxygen to the roots. Armed with a pair of tweezers and threatening a pair of shears, a frustrated tumaian elemental stands there, carefully peeling a sticking root apart from the neighbor pot of his strangling plum bonsai. Not that he can understand the plants any better then previously, but the sneaky little plants are nothing if not demonstrating their need for their own space, not to be displayed close together. 1

Pinned under his extra tools is a flyer asking for local botanists to come examine a new plot of land and tame some of the foliage back for a "Sunstone Court". He's unfamiliar with the term, perhaps it is a new shop of sort to break ground upon. It isn't a quest for being paid either, but that isn't his goal in life of living high and mighty. Never have lived that way, probably never will. At least being an on call potions master pays for his plant needs. The vines finally come free of the other pot and he picks up the offending tree teapot bonsai to relocate on the other side of the rock wall he'd started building up to place his plants upon. Because who in their right mind would display something on the ground. Moody little woodlings would suddenly start producing runners faster then ever. 2 x.20

{If I have to keep peeling you apart from your neighbor plants, I will dig out these shears and prune you for the winter.} the tumaian man hisses at the offending teapot, like it will pay attention and STOP TRYING TO STRANGLE ITS NEIGHBOR. The fourth hells. He should've thought this through before procuring a FULL SET of these teapot trees and two extra before realizing how difficult their season changing care would become. The 'fall' themed tree's runners seem to curl backwards at the sight of the ceramic shears he'd specially procured (because forged metal is EXPENSIVE), and he wraps the runner roots around the base of the teapot, slightly pinning them by a leaf. Now he's grumpy. Thankfully the plants weren't big enough to make a deal towards the animals. Yet. Might have to resupply for bigger teapots in the spring before they start to sprout again. 3 x.20

The 'winter' themed bonsai isn't dead, thankfully he caught the act in time, but would need to have a wrap around its trunk to allow healing from the sticky entrails of runner roots. But he'll do that after he checks out the Court for whatever sort of work botanists are being asked to do. Let's see, what should he need. A faint hum that radiates inside him, slightly tapping at his magic-laden core. Shears, wrappings, he doesn't think to need branch shears, as those are thick and difficult to carry unless he can get some personal ones forged or make them himself. Difficult to do, especially if ceramic. Mounting the blades and procuring the springs to make the whole piece work. Even the shears have a metal spring. Can't forget his plant hoarders book his notebook of different plants he's discovered through his travel of the desert, the scrub, and around the area here. 4 x.20

This should be enough. Wrapping his supplies in his satchel, Flare looked around for the water skin he picked up from the local scavenger hunt for different items and digging, and takes it along with. Never can hurt to have extra water. There's less dirt on him today, even with a through pat down of his canvas white puffy pants, shrugging on his favored vest to seem like a more professional sort of humanish. Casting a wary eye towards his collection, which he's getting positive aren't what was advertised by the old goat, he closes up the garden gates, making sure they are closed to avoid excitable houlou vaulting the fence while he's away, the humanish makes his way with his tools to the Sunstone Court, an offshoot of... Vall. He doesn't recall specifically what the street is, but it is about three streets over from his own garden side home. 5 lv up x.20
