Still feeling the power from his most recent Node creation, Ashe had the itch to start working for his next one. He had no inclination to stop, probably ever, but he did have the inspiration to go for something a little bit... different. He had checked out his crystals and found he had a couple of fire ones, and those, he'd heard, were easier nodes to make than the more complicated divine crystals. So while he had some, he didn't have enough, so here he was... "Greetings, Kor!" Ashe called politely as he walked to the counter. While everything around him sparkled, glittered, or shone in mystical beauty, Ashe had to stay focused on his goal. On his shoulder, as usual playing copilot, was his Imp, who peered down at the shinies. So many, everywhere. Things that she helped her master find in the mines all the time... all in one place. "I'm in the market to buy a fire crystal from you... I have these, I was wondering if they'd be enough." If not, he had more in his pocket, but he'd like to scrape by as close as possible... since Kor didn't give change. -c

Giving a slow nod, Kor looked over the stones and jotted a few things down before sliding the scrap of paper across the counter. "129, s'100 fer a fire," he told him.

"Damn," Ashe muttered to himself. He had tried hard to get close to the exact total, but he must have given up some exceptional gems. He was willing to bet it was one of the emeralds. Probably pristine condition and should have been made into jewelery or something. Ah, well. He always came prepared for times like this. "Well in that case... if I throw in this Amber, would that be enough for the fire crystal and one of those spherical mind crystals?" it couldn't hurt to stock up on those crystals, since he so rarely found the useful ones in the mines. Even if he had some at home already. It's not like an extra would go to waste! He just hoped that this would be enough without being more than halfway toward yet another item on his to buy list. He placed the amber on the counter and slid it gently toward Kor, for him to observe or whatever witchcraft he did to determine the value of these shinies. Update: 1 fire crystal, 1 sphere mind crystal

"Alright, let me see 'er," Kor said, inspecting the piece of amber. It was a sizable piece with nice clarity, so he thought he could get a lot of value for it in the jewelry market.
"I'll give ya another... 30 fer this one, that'll be enough wit the others ta get yer fire crystal and a mind one too. Anythin' else?"

Ashe was relieved when he heard the total for this one. Don't get him wrong, he didn't like 'wasting' a single credit, but nine was a lot less than almost thirty. He could handle that hit. "Sounds perfect to me! In that case, I'll trade you these gems, for that Fire crystal, and the mind crystal. Nothing else, thank you, Kor." He smiled his gratitude to the man, still unable to believe how lucky it was that he could buy these magical crystals. Especially ones like Fire; he felt like he was more attuned to the tainted and the chaos variety. Rare as they were, he felt that he himself finding a fire was even more rare. Even if the crystal's value was less, and the nodes were easier to make. Why did Ashe have to choose the more powerful, difficult elements? A Mosca couldn't change his spots. It was just a shame Ashe couldn't buy more than one of these crystals at a time!

Kor nodded and placed the two crystals on the counter to show they were real before putting them each into a little pouch and handing them over. "Righ', good doin' business wi' ya," he said.
