Summer Leafy had decided to head to the gardens after breeding Pachee at the breeding centre. She took Honeydew along with her as well as a new addition to her garden. She had been keeping the Whiptail Vinesnatcher in her kennel, not particularly caring for it because it was not her loyal companion which was a modified version of the species. One that was superior in every way. Leafy had decided to put her prejudice aside for now (even if the endeavor turned out unsuccessful) and was now on a mission to move him into her garden. She believed that summertime was the apt time to deal with these creatures. And perhaps if she was successful, she'd even be able to harvest the thing. Admittedly, she had little knowledge on how harvesting actually worked. Honeydew fluttered along, moving gracefully as they entered the garden plot. The Whiptail Vinesnatcher was being led by a rope, certainly less friendlier than the Faeron was. Honeydew watched him in amusement, giddy that she had freedom and Cork didn't. Cork didn't particularly like being effectively kept on a leash, but there wasn't much he could do about it. Especially considering that Whiptail Vinesnatchers weren't the smartest creatures on the block. (Honeydew 3 1/5, 16 1/5 | Cork 0 1/5, 0 1/5) 1

Cork followed along obediently, glaring at Leafy and Honeydew. Honeydew spotted weeds that needed to be pulled, but she had no desire to do this herself so she fluttered around Leafy to get the girl's attention. The Faeron was quite particular about the garden, but not quite so keen on some of the more tedious chores. Leafy decided she would indulge the Faeron and moved to pull out the weeds that she pointed out. Before she could, Cork darted forward and snapped at the weeds, shredding the ones that were in reach.
"Well, I guess that's one way of doing it," Leafy remarked.
She made sure to grab the roots of the weeds that Cork had left behind, which was significantly more work with the tops shredded. She ended up needing to use a spade to dig them out. Cork seemed pleased with himself. At least as much as a dim-witted creature could be. He was inferior in every way to his bionic counterpart. She grabbed the rope again and led Cork forward, attempting to get him to a location in her garden that she thought he would acclimate to the most. She envisioned it in her mind, a place with a water source and lots of coverage.

Honeydew darted ahead, deciding to take matters into her own hands. She didn't have quite the same idea that Leafy did and quickly got distracted by a group of fruit trees that she checked for ripe fruit. She came back empty-handed, having decided that the fruit in this area hadn't ripened yet. Leafy wasn't sure if she could trust the Faeron's judgement, after all, Honeydew could be quite picky with the quality of the fruit she ate. Cork decided he wanted to see the fruit trees as well and was at the end of the rope leash, attempting to drag Leafy towards them. The girl was more irritated than stubborn and decided to simply let him have his way. She didn't see much harm in it after all.
The first tree they reached, Leafy plucked a leaf from a branch and snapped it in half. She had been taught that you could use this method to identify certain types of trees by their smell. With a bit of contemplating, she decided that this was an apple tree. However, its branches were completely void of any apples. She frowned, hoping that it wasn't a sign of things to come. Cork made his way towards the trunk of the tree.

He wasn't tall enough to reach any of the branches, so he resorted to clawing at its trunk with his claws. He didn't do much damage, and Leafy could hardly say she was impressed by his power. Leafy went over to another tree, this time covered with apples, and plucked one off the branch. However, one closer inspection, this one was completely rotten. She tossed it frantically, a bit disturbed that she had touched it and watched as it landed against a fence that she hadn't noticed before. Honeydew watched her in amusement and Cork tugged at the leash as he went to chase the thrown apple. Ignoring him, Leafy began to search for something she could wash her hands with instead.
She soon noticed a metal faucet hooked up by the fence and dragged Cork towards it. He snapped his jaws in frustration, wanting to chomp the rotten apple instead. Leafy turned it on and washed her hands, taking her time to clean off anything that might cause harm to her other plants. Cork was getting agitated, the rotten apple a few meters away from his reach. She decided to slacken the rope just enough so that he could grab it if he wanted to.

Cork immediately shot forward, reaching the apple and tearing it to shreds in no time. Honeydew darted out of the way, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire. Leafy turned the tap off and shook water droplets from her hands. When Cork was finished with the apple, she tightened some of the slack in the rope to regain control over him. He followed her obediently to another tree, this one bearing a bunch of fruit that appeared edible. Cork could tell too, his mouth widened and he raised his head in attempt to get closer to the fruit. The fruit was much too high for Leafy to reach.
The tree also didn't have any low hanging branches she could use to climb up. Without additional equipment, she wouldn't be able to climb this tree. Cork was still eyeing the fruit, hoping for it to drop on its own. Their only hope would to be to see if Honeydew could fly up and knock it down for them. But that would be up to the whims of the Faeron, who was otherwise distracted at the moment. She was instead concerned with the pesky aphids that were present in the garden.

They're not the only thing kicking around in there. With a rustling of grass, a koguma comes emerging, with a particularly glowy flower clutched in its hands. It doesn't appear to notice you, at the moment; it is far too interested in its prize. Will you engage...? To tame the koguma: Make at least 3-5 RP posts interacting with the creature and trying to tame it. At the end of your taming attempt, make your last post with [done] and wait for staff approval.

While Leafy was busy trying to wrangle Cork and deal with the peach tree, Honeydew had managed to find a strange fruit. She praised the little Faeron as she was handed the bunana. However, that wasn’t all there was to be found here. The sound of rustling leaves echoed in the area and their attention was drawn to a strange, insectoid creature. Oh, Leafy could identify this one! It was a Koguma, which she had seen quite a few of before in her previous garden expeditions. Cork was not very pleased to see a new creature in his territory. He hadn’t been here very long, but in his mind the garden already belonged to him. Sensing that he was going to be more of a hinderance than a help in this situation, Leafy quickly tied him to the peach tree they were standing under.
“Oh, don’t mind Cork, he’s just a grump!” Leafy spoke to the creature in what she hoped was a calm and soothing tone.
Honeydew was a much friendlier creature than the Whiptail Vinesnatcher. The Faeron was quite curious about this new creature and drawn to the pretty flower that it was holding. Maybe it would like to trade?

Honeydew flew back over to Leafy and pestered the girl to give her back to bunana. Leafy sighed and complied, not quite sure what Honeydew was planning but trusting her to be more responsible than Cork was. Cork tried to grab the bunana as it was handed over, but Honeydew made sure to hold it far away from where he could get it. It took him a moment to figure out what was happening, and when he did, he began to pull harder at the leash, trying to break free and get to the bunana. He only managed to succeed in getting tangled up in the rope. Leafy laughed at the strange chaos he was making, but she had him under control. The Koguma was quite concerned with everything that was going on, but it soon grew focused on the bunana that Honeydew was holding.
Sensing that the Koguma was interested, Honeydew flew closer to it, holding out the bunana in offering. She knew that now was not the time to negotiate a trade, instead she would present the bunana as a gift. Leafy decided to join the festivities and came up beside Honeydew. She had stopped to gather a random assortment of plants and held them in her hands.

She then reached out a hand for the Koguma to inspect. The Koguma sniffed at the plants that Leafy had gathered but decided that none of them were remarkable enough to take from the girl. Instead, she turned to Honeydew and accepted the offered bunana. Honeydew looked very pleased, even if the Koguma was reluctant to share its flower in return. She fluttered over to Leafy and landed on her shoulder, looking at Cork and ensuring that he was still safely tied up. Cork was not pleased with his captivity, but he lay down in defeat and instead was sulking.
The Koguma wanted to look for more plants to add to its growing stash. Honeydew flew back down and joined the Koguma on the ground as it began to search the area. Leafy decided that she would help too, but she also kept a close eye on Cork to make sure he wasn't up to trouble. As Leafy was moving around, Cork decided to make his move. He extended one of his vines and attempted to untie the rope. However, his low intelligence made this task easier said than done. His attempts only managed to make the rope even more tangled and further restricted his movement.

Honeydew saw this, and moved over to inspect the rope to ensure that Cork was still tied up. When she was satisfied, she flew back around the area in search of fruits or berries. The ones on the ground had been there for too long and were long dried out by the sun. They wouldn't be tasty to eat, which she thought was the whole purpose of gathering plants. She glanced over at the Koguma for a better idea of what sorts of plants the creature was looking for.
The Koguma was busy searching the area with Leafy's help. The girl had opposable thumbs which made the process a whole lot easier. She was able to lift things and move things around with an impressive dexterity that the Koguma couldn't manage on its own. Leafy hoped that by helping the Koguma, it would make up for Cork's rather brute demeanor. She soon found a small collection of plants, but the Koguma wasn't too interested in those. Honeydew fluttered over to take a closer look at them, trying to pick out anything that might be of value. The Koguma gave them a quick scan and then motioned that it had no interest in these.

Perhaps it would be more helpful to look in a different area. Or maybe closer to the fruit trees. If Leafy could figure out how to knock some fruit free from the trees, perhaps the Koguma would be satisfied enough with their help to stick around. Honeydew decided to take a crack at it and moved to the tree that was next to the peach tree that Cork was tied to. She fluttered around it, inspecting the trunk and decided instead to fly up to one of the branches and try to knock fruit free from there. Leafy couldn't make out what type of fruit tree she was staring at, the leaves obscured if the tree even had fruit on it.
While the Faeron was busy doing that, Cork began to dig at the ground. He tried to make as much noise as possible, but Leafy didn't pay him much mind. Instead, she and the Koguma watched as Honeydew flew higher and higher, carefully selecting which branch to attempt to gather fruit from. While Honeydew was busy trying to gather fruit, Leafy decided to try and make the Koguma feel more welcome. She sat down on the ground and plucked a blade of glass. She held it between her fingers and blew softly to make the grass whistle.

As Honeydew shook the tree branch, a variety of different fruits, berries and flowers dropped out of it. Leafy was quick to catch everything before it could hit the ground or land by Cork. Cork was displeased with her actions and scratched at the ground as he sought to cause mayhem. The Koguma was pleased with their new friendship and Leafy had a feeling that it planned to stick around in her garden.
Honeydew flew down for the tree branches and perched on Leafy's shoulder as the girl sorted through their finds. She stashed everything in her backpack and Honeydew approved of keeping everything safe. They'd taken the flower and bunana back from the Koguma who had offered them willingly, deciding that Leafy's team was now their team.
Leafy untied Cork from the tree and decided that it was time to move to a new area. They had quite the haul today, but she was also eager to explore more. They parted ways with the Koguma who had decided to take up residence in Leafy's garden. Honeydew stayed on Leafy's shoulder as she led Cork forward. The Whiptail Vinesnatcher was pleased to be on the move again, even with limited freedom.

It didn't take them long to move away from the fruit trees and into an area that contained a large pond.
"Cork, this would be a great place to live. I know it may not seem like much right now, but there's a lot to explore!" Leafy said excitedly.
Cork stared at the pond in front of them, his expression unchanging. He decided that this wasn't worth living in and moved forward in search of something more interesting.
"Well, if you say so," Leafy said with a shrug, allowing him to lead her away from the pond.
Honeydew was still sitting on Leafy's shoulder, making herself comfortable. Leafy had been enjoying having a Faeron as a companion. It was so much nicer than when she was on her own. Gardening was so much more boring when done alone. Not that Leafy ever did much real gardening. Mostly she liked traipsing around in her garden plot. She liked being out in nature and sometimes the mansion and the mines could be too stuffy or complicated for her mood.
The next thing they encountered was a pine tree. Cork stopped in front of it and waited patiently, hoping to climb it and escape.

However, Leafy was a little smarter than that. She checked the tree and saw that its branches didn't look very sturdy for climbing. Not that Cork could manage to climb up a tree anyway. She walked around the tree, trying to figure out what else it had to offer. There were some berry bushes nearby, but they had already been picked clean. Leafy came across a group of flowers that she thought looked pretty, but they weren't ones that offered any value. She would allow them to grow for now. Cork was still waiting at the base of the pine tree, his vines swaying behind him. He soon grew bored and attempted to lead Leafy through the garden.
Honeydew took off into the air again, fluttering her wings gracefully as she moved. Leafy decided to follow her, even if Cork was dragging her in the opposite direction. Honeydew led Leafy down another path. They soon came upon an area that contained a small grove of trees. Leafy recognized these trees as she approached. She had been in this area before. Honeydew landed on the tree branches, keeping a close eye on the ground as she observed Cork and Leafy approach.
