Okay, she could do this, she was fine, right? Get out a little more often, and this time it was kind of her idea? Maybe? Eh... it didn't matter, she was out either way. Jack stretched her arms out and felt her back pop a few times. It was hot out, and a little muggy, it had been raining a lot lately and the heat didn't help things out. Still, it was better to wait outside than inside, especially considering she hadn't seen Silver in how long now?
Opal curled up next to her on the bench of the picnic table and the woman gave her a fond smile. She was cute and sweet, she could only hope the male that was going to be here would be the same way. Stroking her fur a little, Jack nodded, yeah, the male would be good she figured, she didn't see Silver having many aggressive animals in their possession.

Unfortunately, Silver was running a bit late to their meeting with Jack. They had chosen a Pachee to bring to the breeding centre, but when the time came, they couldn't find him. Eventually they noticed that he had made his way up onto the ceiling and wasn't quite clever enough to work his way back down. After a moment of panic (and some chattering laughter from Quin), they finally managed to get back to ground level, but by the time that happened they were already running late.
"C'mon Sam," they said, scooping him up under their arm. They didn't bother with any carriers or leashes or anything like that. For the most part, they were good enough at keeping creatures in check not to worry about it.
"Ah, hey, hello..." they said as they finally caught up to the bench where they had agreed to meet. They were trying to talk between panting breaths, betraying the fact that they had run most of the way here.

Jack's eyebrows shot up for a moment when she saw Silver rushing over to the Breeding Center, but she gave a little chuckle, standing up and scooping Opal up in her arms at the same time. "Hey, slow down! No rush, no worries," she told Silver with a smile, reaching out to help steady them a little while they panted, "Need some water or something? Deep breath." Glancing at the glass door for the Breeding Center, she wondered if she should run in and grab something. Let Silver answer though she figured.
Hmm, she smelled something. Opal's eyes fluttered open and she looked at the person with the green male in their arms. This was different, she had been here before right? But with green...? Hey that might not be mad, she figured as she flicked her tail a little and fluttered her wings a little. They rustled a little and she looked up at the woman for a moment, who looked a little concerned.

Silver was a little surprised when Jack stood up and offered them some support. It wasn't what they were expecting, though they would do the same for her, of course. They had thought that she would be really mad that they were late, but she didn't seem bothered at all. On the contrary, she wanted them to slow down and not stress. She was a kind person, they thought.
"Oh, sorry," they said between breaths. "No, no, I don't need, ah, I'm fine. Maybe I'll just stay here for a sec. Catch - catch my breath."
Silver took a few slow, deliberate breaths which seemed to bring them back to a more normal state. In their head, they were panicking about what they would say next, but they physically seemed a lot calmer at least.
"This one," they said holding up the green Pachee for Jack to see. "He was, ah, he was stuck to the ceiling." They explained as though that made any sense at all.

Watching her friend try to compose themself for a moment, she smiled in delight when the reason for the late arrival came to light. "Stuck to the ceiling? That's fantastic, how'd he manage that?" Jack asked, peering at the male as Opal leaned forward a little and sniffed at them a little. She wasn't bothered if people were late with a good reason, and it was no reason to stress over either way. It took awhile to get her mad, or at least that was her opinion of herself, whether or not it was true. It wasn't worth getting worked up over though, she thought.
Opal stretched out some more and looked them over a little longer before hopping down and nuzzling up to Silver's leg. She... had no boundaries, and Jack yelped, "Sorry, she has no manners, I'm sure you probably don't mind, but still..." The woman frowned and scooted Opal back just a little just in case.

"Well, he's a bit, ah, a bit unusual," they explained. They held him up by his middle so that his paws were sticking out forward for Jack to see.
"See here, ah, he's got these little, I dunno, sticky things," they explained. True to their explanation, Sam had unusual looking paws with some small pads on them, like a frog would have. Neither Pachee they had with them today was totally normal, as the female had a much more visible mutation - brightly colored wings. It was common enough that creatures had some quirk or another, so Silver didn't think much of it.
"Oh, ah, hello there," Silver said, looking down at little Pachee who rubbed up against them. Their voice was soft and gentle, and they didn't seem bothered at all.
"She is very friendly," Silver said. It was a compliment. A friendly creature was one that had been raised with kindness so that it learned to trust the world around it.

The woman's eyes lit up when she inspected the male Pachee's paws, peering closely at them so she could see the little pads on the bottoms of his paws. Just like a frog indeed! Straightening back up, as she had hunched over a little to see the offered paws, Jack smiled and motioned to the door to the Breeding Center, "Shall we?"
Opal beamed up at the person her Human had come to meet and fluttered her wings a little. She was quite trusting indeed, and the woman sighed a little, "She is, yes, but she really shouldn't run up to everyone she sees. ....not everyone is kind." Jack frowned a little, her eyes flickering with sadness before she shook her head a little and went to open the door with a smile. It was nice being out again, she had finally come to a decision about it, and it was pretty nice indeed.

Sam was, of course, not aware that he was a little weird. All of a sudden everyone was looking at his paws. Why was that? He flicked his ears and blinked his big yellow eyes. People were strange, he thought. Always doing strange things. Nothing like Pachee at all.
"True, true," Silver said with a nod. They knew all too well how worrying it could be when a creature ran off. A creature could get themselves into a ton of trouble that way. Especially one so small and hermless as a Pachee.
"Ah, right," Silver suddenly remembered that they were supposed to be going inside to the breeding room. Didn't want the Pachee shaking their pollen all over the place outside, after all. They would be fined, and it was not healthy for the local wildlife. Two good reasons to get a move on.
"Thanks for, ah, for setting this up," they said as they followed Jack into the breeding centre.

"Not a problem," Jack told them with a smile, it was going to work well she figured, the two Pachee were interested, or at least her Opal was. It was high time to get this going though, didn't want to get into trouble with the Center. Shifting the door open, the woman let Silver in and then slipped over to the counter, filling out her part of the paperwork. Opal shook off a little and slapped the floor a bit as she wiggled a little bit. This was going to be alright she thought as she beamed at the male with the other person, the one not her Human.
Paperwork didn't seem to take long anymore, which was good she figured as she slipped it back across the counter and leaned her chin on the top of it, the cool marble chilling her just a bit. It was going to be interesting to see what was going to come from these two.

"No no, don't touch that," Silver said, yanking the paperwork away from Sam's grabby paws. He was clearly bored and wanted to play with something, but they knew that the second he touched it, he would stick to it, which would make a mess. How were they ever going to get through a breeding like this?
Silver hastily filled out all of their paperwork, which they could do quickly now that they were used to the forms. Hopefully they never changed them, or Silver would have no idea what they were doing.
"Thanks again," Silver said as they headed over to their room.
Sam was so eager to play that he had almost completely slipped out of their hands. "C'mon now, there's only a bit more to go, then I'll let you play with your new friend, okay? And stay off the ceilings, please!" Silver spoke quickly under their breath at the very excited little Pachee.
