It had been a while since Leafy had done any training with her creatures. She had been spending a lot of time with Kilowatt, her baby Wiurn and decided that it would be beneficial for him to get out and do some battle training. She carried him to the park and scouted out an empty spot that would work for their purposes. There were a few fallen trees here and rotten logs which she thought would make for good training tools. She plopped Kilowatt down next to one of the trees, making sure that he was paying attention as she took her arm and smacked it against one of the dry, brittle branches. She then moved close to the Wiurn and ran her fingers down his tail, picking it up at the base and then letting it drop back down to the ground. Kilowatt curled it instinctively, not quite understanding what Leafy wanted him to do. (Kilowatt 12 1/5, 22 1/5) (Training: Tail Slap 1)

Leafy decided that she would guide him. She gently lifted up his tail, which Kilowatt didn't appear to mind all that much before suddenly dropping it back down. She then repeated the motion, hoping that it would give him a feel for maneuvering his tail. It didn't seem to click for him right away, so she took his tail in her hand, holding it with just one finger and lifted it up, this time using her thumb to help push the tail up and down. This time when she let go, Kilowatt began to move his tail without her help. Leafy felt that she could let him do the rest on his own. She took her arm and she smacked it harshly against the ground, trying to see if she could get him to repeat the motion. Kilowatt began to twitch his tail as if he was trying to mirror her actions.

She watched him intently to see what he was doing. It didn't take too long before she saw that his tail was rising and falling rapidly as he started to move it in quick motions. Leafy decided that was a good enough effort for a treat and she quickly rewarded him with one. He ate it rapidly, not wasting any time in consuming his food.
"Nicely done, boy. Now I need you to do that even harder," she told him.
In order to guide him, she raised his tail and mimicked slapping it down against the ground with a bit more force. It took a little bit of coaxing, but soon Kilowatt repeated the motion. Leafy then patted the ground, trying to get him to do it on his own. At first it was a slow process, but soon he raised his tail with intent and slapped it down against the ground.

It wasn't as forceful as it needed to be in order to be a proper attack, but that would come with practice. Still, she praised him readily and tossed him another treat. She slapped the ground with her hand to demonstrate additional force. This time, she decided to give the move a new name, “Tail Slap!”
Kilowatt complied and raised his tail swiftly and smacking it into the ground. He paused, looking up at Leafy for reassurance that he had done it correctly.
“Good job!” she called out and gave him more food.
The Wiurn was overjoyed at being praised by Leafy. He moved around excitedly, wanting to attack something different this time! But first, he'd need a target. Leafy glanced around, trying to spot something that would be easy for him to hit. She decided to start with a small rock that was near where the two of them were practicing.

She took a moment to get the Wiurn's attention before she lifted him up off the ground and carried him towards the rock. The little Wiurn's eyes were wide and filled with excitement. Leafy placed the Wiurn on the ground and gave him one last push to get him in place before pointing at the rock and giving him a command.
"Tail slap!" she called out as she slapped at the air with encouragement.
Kilowatt complied with the order, angling his tail so it could smack at the rock as he slapped it through the air. The rock flew into the air, landing a few feet away from them and rolling along the ground before it eventually came to a halt.
“Nice hit!” she praised him before handing over another treat. Kilowatt wasn’t about to complain about getting food, and he felt excited to hit even more things. After all, he did like fighting!

She was so impressed by Kilowatt that she wanted to keep going. She decided to find an even bigger rock to see if he could hit that one as well. She scanned the area, finding one that had a bit more heft to it before directing the Wiurn closer to it.
"Tail slap!" she ordered and as she pointed out the correct rock to him.
The little creature ran quickly as he prepared to slap the rock. It took him a moment to figure out the proper distance to slap his tail before he managed to collide it against the rock, sending it propelling forward across the ground. The rock bounced along the ground, hitting one of the fallen logs which stopped it in its tracks. Leafy was stunned by the strength that Kilowatt had managed to put behind the slap.
“Nice power!” she complimented him, this time giving him a quick scratch on the back.

It might not have been food, but Kilowatt was still pleased with being given affection. Leafy decided that they could move onto a different target, scanning the area and deciding that maybe Kilowatt would be able to hit a stick. She grabbed the stick that she had used as a demonstration and carried it back over to him. She set it down in front of Kilowatt and pointed at it as she gave him the tail slap command.
Kilowatt was clearly a little bit hesitant to attack the helpful stick, but he wanted to perform the command. He brought his tail back behind him before slapping it forward with a bit more force than before. The stick was pushed back a good distance by the impact of Kilowatt's tail.
She gave him a treat again, allowing him to have a bit of a break. Kilowatt had been performing very well.

She wanted to see if he could perform the move if she threw something at him. After all, the opponent was not likely to sit still and wait to be attacked. She picked up a stone and got into position. Kilowatt regarded her with curiosity, not quite certain what the girl was planning on doing. Before he could think much further, Leafy gave him the tail slap once more.
“Tail slap!” she commanded in a sharp tone before tossing the rock at Kilowatt.
The sudden movement alarmed the Wiurn for a moment before his instinct took over. He raised his tail in preparation and when the rock was close enough, he managed to smack it with his tail, sending it a sizable distance away from him.
“Excellent job, Kilowatt! You’re doing me proud!” Leafy praised him enthusiastically and picked him up in her arms, twirling him around. The Wiurn squirmed to be put down.
