Then she picked up the lacrymose leaflet, handling this one a bit more carefully. While it would continually produce dew for several more minutes, its unique chemicals reacting with the air, she still didn't want to spill any of this. She wasn't sure what the minimum dose was for these creatures, and this thing was super expensive. She couldn't afford to waste a single drop. The kairfuryoo waited politely however while she crept over with the leaflet, pushing it in front of their faces. Cosmos leaned in first, quickly taking a sip. Coo followed her example and did the same, trading it back and forth until the dew was all gone, along with the powder it had been coated in. Fiera sighed with relief- one more task done. She tucked the remnants of all of the associated items away before zipping up her purse. Now all she had to do was wait- and hope they figured things out on their own. She sat in the chair provided, and waved at Coo encouragingly. "Go on then, go play!" She said cheerfully before pulling a small book out of her back pocket- some sort of trashy action novel or another. It was all up to him now.

Coo waited a few moments longer for another order from his owner, but none were forthcoming. He shuffled back and forth a bit, hoping some noise would remind her he was here. Nothing. The lavender kairfuryoo glanced around a bit, confused. Well, he wasn't sure what to do now. He knew what "play" meant, of course. It was what the houluh did when they were let out to run around in the yard. It was what the orbaru did at the drop of a hat. It was what all the baby creatures did when they ran around unsupervised. But he had never heard that not-quite-a-command directed at HIM before. He wasn't even at home, so he couldn't just complete a task and write that off as "playing". He looked around some more. Maybe if he cleaned up a bit, that would count as playing? He wandered towards some of the piles of pillows, past the strange lady that had walked there with him. She was indeed a stranger. It had been a long time since Coo had seen a kairfuryoo like himself, let alone one with such fancy feathers. His own were all one color, and some of hers were as well.

But the rest of them sparkled like the glitter that fell from the haraichus' wings, making her look like the night sky. It was a little intimidating- or it would be, if she were actually focused on him. Instead she seemed happy to sit and relax, not as worried as him about the content of the 'play' they were supposed to be doing. Did she just not know how to do work? Maybe he could show her how. He picked up a pillow and showed it to her. He was very good at stacking rocks at home. So he'd be very good at showing her how to stack pillows, too! It was such a good idea. She blinked at the pillow and took it from him gently... before setting it on the ground AND settling on top of it. Hm. Well. Perhaps she was just making herself comfortable so she could better learn how to stack pillows and tidy up! That was probably it. Newly reassured, Coo kept picking up the pillows strewn around the floor, stacking them up in a corner of the room. Every time he placed another one down, he glanced back at the pretty kairfuryoo watching him.

To her credit, she WAS paying attention, her bright turquoise eyes fixed on him. Coo found a little unnerving for some reason, actually. He didn't understand why- she was just a normal kairfuryoo, right? Just a really pretty one. Yup. No other motivations here. He just had to show her that he was REALLY good at stacking things. He started up with a renewed fervor, grabbing another pillow from across the room. This one was enormous- far bigger than the rest- and he was going to stack it PERFECTLY on top of the rest of them. She was going to be so impressed. Just as he was making his way across the room with it however, she reached out, brushing a claw against his leg. He stood there, frozen, staring at her. Was he doing something wrong? Did she not like the stacking? But once he stopped, she reached out her hand again and grabbed the larger pillow he was holding, effortlessly popping it out of his grasp. Then she stretched, stood up, and settled herself back down on the new pillow, enjoying how much bigger and fluffier it was. Then she reached down again, nudging her original, smaller pillow back towards him.

Oh. She just... wanted the bigger pillow instead. Coo felt a little disappointed at that for some reason... But now he could show her how good he was at stacking the smaller pillow! What a great idea of hers! He picked the other pillow up in a flash before scampering back to the corner of the room. He looked over his shoulder to make sure she was watching, and when his hopes were confirmed, he bunched himself up. Then, he tossed the pillow effortlessly on top of the stack, alley-ooping it right to the top. He could have sworn he saw her feathers puff up at that, and he puffed himself up as well in pride. He was very good at stacking. By this point, he hadn't even noticed that Fiera had left the room, deciding to give these critters some privacy. Besides, her book was getting to a good point and she didn't want any interruptions. She could go stand out in the hall. Once nervous however, Coo was now entirely engrossed in impressing this girl. He grabbed the last remainders of the pillows laying around the room, excepting the one that Cosmos was sitting on, and arranged them around the base of the pile, securing it.

When the pile was finally done, he held his arms out, gesturing to it, and danced around. Now she could see how good he was at stacking AND dancing. Any kairfuryoo would love to see his dancing- his plumage was so long and fancy! She had to love it! When he was done , he held his arms out in one final, trembling dance move, and waited for any sign of approval or disapproval. She sat there in silence for a few moments longer, piercing him through with her turquoise eyes. If he could sweat, a cold bead would have been running down the back of his neck. But finally, Cosmos got up, stretching luxuriously as she stepped off the pillow. She walked across the room, briefly sweeping her tail alongside Coo's... before flopping into the new pile of pillows he made, burrowing into the depths of it. Coo stared after her nervously, wondering if that was a good thing or a bad thing. He HAD put a lot of work into it- wasn't her enjoying it what he wanted? He shuffled his feet around, looking from side to side, until he felt a tug on his wrist. He looked down to find her pulling him into the pile as well. Oh! Well. If she insisted!
