Oh, what a beautiful creature! Fiera hadn't managed to collect any version one elemental golems yet, but she had the feeling she might want to take a second look at them after this. The crystalline golem was beautiful and sparkling, a living gemstone. Mango was pretty too, with his iridescent scales and antler orbs, but he couldn't hold a glass to his beautiful opponent. It was such a shame that he would have to trounce it so thoroughly. Hopefully Mango wouldn't do too much damage to it, and Fiera could get a closer look at the creature after the match. Another battle, another unfamiliar face. Nina had worried that she would have to fight against someone she knew, but so far she had been lucky. Not that she knew that many people to begin with. Worries were funny like that. They didn't seem to line up with reality at all.
Her opponent this time was a Repointe. He was much leaner and looked more graceful than Ace, who was more of a bulky, sturdy creature. Given that was the extent of her experience with the species, she couldn't be sure what to expect. She supposed she would have to go with her instincts and see what happened.

The Repointe let out a terrifying roar. Nina was taken aback by the sudden and powerful sound. She did not know they could do that! As startled as she was by it, Laputa was even worse. She shook her huge head like she was trying to remove the sound from it. Nina winced and noticed that Laputa did not follow through with the command she had been given. The quicker, more agile creature had gotten the jump on them. That was okay, Nina would not be upset at Laputa for being just as startled as she was. How could she? Regardless, it was time to regroup and try something else.

It looked like the golem's head was ringing- that was something Fiera could take advantage of. It would take a lot of work to take this beast down, especially with Mango so soft and delicate by comparison. He had his thick scales yes, but that was nothing against the rock solid body of the elemental golem. All he really had to his advantage was his speed, which luckily this 'Laputa' didn't seem able to keep up with. She had a plan to carry out, and so far it was going well- but who knew what other tricks this beast had up its metaphorical sleeves.

Fiera quickly took advantage of the opening provided by Mango's deafening roar. The crystalline golem flailed a few limbs at Mango, but perhaps Mango's last moves still had some latent effects- he was easily able to dodge out of the way. As he circled around, the wild repointe flicked his horns to the right, the orbs on them flashing ominously as they scraped against Laputa's stony hide. It wasn't enough to do any damage- in fact, Fiera wasn't sure if the creature was even scratched- but she knew full well that Mango's powers could have devastating effect if used correctly.

Nina was used to Laputa not landing her blows. Even with the intense training they did, most creatures were much more agile than the pile of living crystals. All she could do was keep trying. Her immense strength made it so most successful blows were devastating, but they were rare.
She expected the Repointe to retaliate, but she wasn't too sure what he was doing with his antlers. It wasn't like anything she had ever seen before. "Be careful, Laputa!" Nina shouted into the pit, knowing full well that her advice would not be heeded. "Just hang in there and give it another shot!"

Mango kept his head held up high, the orbs on his antlers flashing ominously. Tendrils of light began to flutter out of them, stretching out towards all corners of the arena. They were fascinating in a way- it was easily Mango's most beautiful attack. Many creatures didn't even know what to make of it, staring in awe instead. Fiera wasn't sure if Laputa would be the same though- elemental golems tended to have one track minds that weren't easily distracted. Still, this would make his next attack have much more of a kick to it- provided he could stay away from his foe's devastating hits.

Usually, Laputa was the shiniest thing in the arena, but that had just changed. Mango's colorful orbs caught her attention quickly and she slowly reached out to grab one. What she thought she would do with it once she had it was a mystery.
"No, Laputa, smash!" Nina shouted. She was too inexperienced to know what was about to happen, but she was confident that it would not be good. She knew those weird things had to do something, and it looked like they were both about to find out.
Laputa seemed to come to her senses as she heard Nina's voice. Right, she was supposed to do something. Onwards!

The Repointe effortlessly bounced away from Laputa as if she weren't even there. Nina was uncertain what was going on with him. It felt eerie and uncomfortable the way he played with his magic abilities and ran around the arena avoiding her. What was he building up to? Nina wasn't sure, and she couldn't say that even if she did know, she would be able to do anything about it.
Nina tried to shake the weird feeling from her mind and focus on what they had to do next. Well, that was obvious, actually. She called her next command into the arena, and Laputa jumped at the chance to follow it.

Fiera watched as the golem's fists slammed near to Mango's legs, and he growled and stumbled away from it, clearly scared of the creature. The humanish flicked her tail. Damn. He needed a moment to recover- and perhaps an easier time keeping away from it. "Mango, grace!" She called out, and the magic began to flow. The wind picked up, even though the arena was an enclosed space, blowing behind Mango. It pushed him forward, helping him go even faster, ping-ponging around the arena. After a few moments of this "second wind", Mango seemed to be ready to attack again- and Fiera was happy to give him the command.
