If anything, at least she had Tobi with her, the little bird had been a constant companion for awhile lately, though not in Given's training, she didn't know what to do with two animals around then. Tobi, however, could try and fly next to Given, though there was no way he could outstripe Given in any way, shape, or form when they were in the air, Tobi could maybe go half the speed Given could, which was still no mean feat at this point. Jack didn't know what to expect from him, but at the same time that was fine, she didn't know what to do and that was perfectly fine. She popped her neck and sighed with contentment after that, wondering what she needed to do for the moment or not. Of course hunting for things along the beach would be nice, but going inside would be nice as well, she'd heard of some new animals after all.

At least she had something to do though, she had to be happy about that at the moment she figured with a little smile on her face. Jack was surprised at what she could do around the Labs at this point, things were coming back, filling out, but the main Labs were still a little defunct, still quite quiet and unassuming as they sat there empty. Sighing, she glanced toward the area where the oldest part of the Labs was and then walked onto the sand, taking off her shoes and putting them in her bag. Happily she wiggled her toes in the warm sand and then walked along the beach, letting the little waves lap over her a little. She was dressed as she had the month before, and Tobi was on her shoulder instead of a Houluh at her side this time, which worked out well for her no matter what.

She was sure there was going to be something for them to do, she just wasn't sure what it was at this point. Jack chuckled at herself and Tobi sang a funny song at the same time, they were too alike to ignore at this point, though she was a little more bold and sure of herself, self confidence was a big thing for her. Tobi was a little more unsure of himself, but not by much, their training had certainly done wonders for him, and he still had more training to get to soon enough. Jack knew there were things that needed done for now, she just didn't know what to do at the moment. Jack frowned a little, unsure of things, even though she was so self confident and self aware, it didn't really matter at all from that. There wasn't much she could do about things, which was fine.

There had to be something for them to focus on here, and Jack leaned against a tall palm tree, a smile playing across her lips for the moment. It had been a long time since she had seen a place like this, very much like an island she used to dock at when she was in the Navy. It was a nice place, very relaxing, good for shore leave, and it brought to mind many memories, though some made her blush a little and realize she couldn't think like that anymore. Or could she? It wasn't like Renathan knew about it or anything, she could have her history as could he, and it didn't really matter in the long run or anything, she just knew it was alright no matter what. Tobi trilled a little in her ear, snapping her out of her reverie, making her wonder what they were about to do.

What a cute tiny palmtree! At it's base, a shell leans up against it.

Jack hadn't been to the mansion in awhile, and it showed at this point. She didn't know what to do, other than to walk around, which was what she was probably going to do at this point without doing much else. It was too late in the month to get anything too intense with things after all, and she smiled a little down at the vicious little Hen hatchling she had with her. Zsa channeled her mother and then some at this point, she figured, Yasmin had been pretty vicious as well, especially going for the eyes in the Pit all the time. That had to be trained out of her eventually, but it was and she was a better Hen for it now. Right now though, the woman had to focus on little Zsa if she was going to cross her soon, she needed to be grown up and broken for that to happen.

Something was different in the mansion this month, though the woman couldn't really tell what it was at this point. She smiled a little behind the gate though, she didn't know what to do, especially with Zsa biting at her thick boots at the moment. Jack sighed a little and then picked her up with a squeak at the moment, things would be fine though, she knew, but that was alright. Pushing her hair back with her free hand, she pushed opened the gate and then entered into the mansion grounds, glancing around at the falling leaves and everything that was so different from the month before. That had been nice, but she hadn't stuck around too much, sadly. Renathan had given her a pet from that month, however, and it was sitting in her kennel just chilling out at this point, which was fine for her to deal with right now.

Zsa wasn't amused to be out and about again, though she didn't remember the last trip. Already she was a little bigger than the average hatchling, which was fine for the woman, considering she was growing older and getting bigger like she was supposed to do. Jack smiled a little down at her and she was sure Zsa was fuming inside at this point. Of course she had no real way of knowing she was correct, but Zsa didn't like to be predictable either. Unfortunately for her, she was pretty predictable at the same time, and the woman chuckled a little when she realized she was being sworn at by an infant Sarane. Ah well, she'd heard worse, hell, she'd said worse at this point, but she had to ask Alexei where she had learned this kind of language at this point, she just didn't know what to do about things at the moment.

Nothing bad would happen this time, though, Jack just had a feeling about that. It was going to be great! She smiled a little and then didn't know what to expect from things, but at least the mansion was a little unpredictable, at least things would be fine. She didn't know what to get from things not to worry about anything, but that was fine too, hopefully she would get some good things with little Zsa. She didn't know what it would be like when Zsa was fully grown and raging, so she figured they would stick around outside in the gardens until she grew up, then dart her and take her to the Pit to break her. That's what she did with the others at least, and she couldn't wait to see what Zsa would look like fully grown. For the moment though, they needed to focus on the little Sarane and what they were going to do with things.

Jack was pleased with her progress and all that, and she smiled a little as time went on. She didn't know what to expect from her or the mansion at this point, which was fine as well and all that, but she wished there was a little more predictability with things as well. Jack chuckled to herself and patted Zsa on the head after putting her on the ground. She had a leash on her for the moment, and she knew she was going to have to loosen up her collar a bit as she grew as well. Honestly, Jack just didn't trust the little Hen to be away from her too much, it just wouldn't work out between the two of them and she knew it. Jack smiled a little at her and then motioned for her to follow her, tugging on the leash a bit when Zsa resisted a bit.

...What is that annoying thrumming sensation? Where is it coming from?

Post by Jack on Sept 27, 2019 18:12:15 GMT -6
Jack shook her head, there was a low thrumming that wasn't coming from any of her nodes at this point. That was always an issue, making sure it wasn't one of her nodes and actually something in the area making her head thrum like that. She scowled a little, unsure of where it was coming from, but feeling it a little to the left. She tugged Zsa along, who fought her every inch of the way until she was picked up, a little despondent over the fact. Jack dug through some leaves and finally came upon something shiny, something she didn't know if she'd found before. There were remnant crystals, yes, she had a hollow node to prove it, but had she ever found one? She couldn't remember! But this was the first of hopefully many she would find on her adventure with Zsa, or at least just in her mansion quest to find things like this.

Giving a smile, she stuffed the crystal into her bag and then focused on the Sarane again. She was being pretty argumentative just to argue it seemed, and Jack could only sigh when she heard her snarling again. Shaking her head, Jack led her to a nearby tree and tied her to it before settling back, hands on her hips, trying to figure out this little Sarane. She was even more temperamental than the tier three Drakes she had when they were little, and she didn't quite understand it for whatever reason at this point. Giving another sigh, she reached out to pat her head, only getting a snap in return. Jack shook her head, unsure of how to proceed with this little girl, little she definitely was at least. Griping more to herself than the Sarane, she pulled out a pair of hefty gloves and put them on, this was going to be bad.

Nothing would make her happier than to have this go smoothly, but Zsa needed to learn some manners if they were going to do this. Of course she couldn't train here, per se, but that was fine, they could make it happen. Just a bit of socialization would be good for her, socialization with a person, not other Sarane, and of course not her own mother. Yasmin was pretty bad, but Jack could feel that Zsa was going to be worse, and Yasmin hadn't needed to be broken before she could work with her either. Jack sighed a little and looked at the little girl, she wasn't sure what to expect from her, and that was the worst part of the whole thing she figured with a frown on her face. She wished she could train her up here, she just shook her head again and stared down Zsa for a little while.

Zsa didn't care much for things as it was, she certainly didn't care much for the woman, but if her mother was to be believed, she would love her in time. That made her skin crawl, and she didn't know what to do about things right now. Already it wasn't as bad to be around her, but she had to keep up appearances she supposed. Maybe things would change after she grew up, she didn't really know, but that was fine at the same time. She huffed when the woman tried to touch her again, and then Jack just rolled her eyes a little at her. "Come on, be nice already, you don't have to channel your mom all the time," the woman rumbled from deep in her chest, and the Sarane balked a little at that. She didn't know that voice as well as the other one, the nice one...
