Nodding a little, she hoped that everything was in place and all that for him to grow, but she wasn’t sure this was going to work out. Would he be the first one to grow up and all that? If not, then he would most likely be the second one at least, which was fine with her. Nothing was going to be wrong with being second, and she smiled a little. It would be good to have someone else go first anyway, that way she knew she did things right as long as they did it right. Rubbing Bigfoot’s neck a little, she hoped he would be big and tough when he grew up, but she doubted he would be too strong. Hmmm, it was strange to think of, but she didn’t know what to do for him at the moment other than let him gain some experience and get better at things like this. Hopefully she would get to training him again soon.

While Bigfoot munched on another piece of fat, she looked around and then up at the darkening sky. What was going to happen to them if she didn’t do this right, would something bad happen to Bigfoot? Chewing on her lip a little, she hoped that everything would go well, she didn’t want him to get hurt or anything like that. Shaking her head at the same time, she really hoped she was doing this right, that she wasn’t messing something up somehow, though it was always entirely possible. Jack rubbed the little Longneck’s head for a moment and then sighed again, hoping everything would come to pass in a timely manner. While there was no way for her to know at the moment, then everything would be well no matter what. Bigfoot was just happy to have a little attention, more than what she was used to doing at the moment. Well, not quite, but hey, he was an attention seeker, it would be alright in the end.

With the sky starting to darken a little more, she wondered what was going to happen to them if they stayed in the Mansion any longer. Frowning a little, she pushed herself onto her feet and stretched out, hoping that everything would go well. She wasn’t going to head to the cemetery again, at least not right now, not until Bigfoot could handle something scary at least. Where else could they really go instead of inside though? There was a corn and wheat maze somewhere, at least if it was like last year, and she smiled down at the Longneck before starting out and wandering around a little at the moment. Pushing her hair back, she hoped this was just going to be festive and not frightening for her animal, but there was no way for her to know as of yet, she knew. How was this going to work out anyway? She just didn’t know yet.

Jack moved along as the sky slowly darkened, the Mansion was pretty big this time of year, though she thought she saw a little shack behind it as well as she rounded the corner. It was hard for her to understand this at the moment and all that, why have out buildings when there was a giant mansion and all that? Whatever, it didn’t matter, and she fed Bigfoot another little chunk of fat before she moved on again. It was a ramshackle little building and all that, and she hoped she would have a chance to explore it. Maybe there would be something in there for her to take home, but she wasn’t sure what to expect from it. Either way, she wanted to do the maze first, the little building would, hopefully, still be there when she got out of it with her Longneck. It was the Mansion grounds though, anything was possible.

Something was happening, and she was a little excited about it. Raising an eyebrow, she wondered what it was she was feeling, knowing full and well she was feeling a crystal out there somewhere. Maybe it was in the maze they were headed to, and she glanced down at the Longneck as she walked along, hoping they would find one soon enough. It wasn’t like she wanted remnant crystals, not really, but they were still crystals and maybe she would be able to trade for something else eventually. It wasn’t like she could do much with them aside from make some nodes, but other than that… They were good for people who wanted to start, but start small. Hollow nodes seemed to be good starter nodes, and she smiled and touched her node pouch at her hip. She had two of them herself at the moment, and that’s what made it possible for her familiar to be far away from her at times.

Jack just hoped she would find some good stuff in the Mansion this month. Already she had found a pocketpet or two, and she wondered if there would be more or not. It was hard to think of sometimes, and she sighed a little as she walked, one hand on the Longneck’s head. Everything would work out, but she hoped she wasn’t getting her hopes up with this month’s Mansion, it happened every now and then, but wasn’t sure what was going to happen. Jack sighed again and pushed a hand through her hair, hoping the maze would be interesting at the same time, and she tilted her head as they made it to the outside of the maze. This would be fun, she would make it fun if she needed to, and she wondered what else to train to the little Longneck as they were inside of it, if she was going to train him at all.

They stood there for awhile, staring into the dark maze, Jack on the ground and Bigfoot in her bag still, peering out of the top as they waited on… something, but she wasn’t sure what that was supposed to be. Frowning a little, the woman sighed and then finally stepped into the corn maze, hoping they wouldn’t get lost, but she knew she could summon something that flew to get them out of there if they needed it. She had to get the Longneck to the museum sooner or later when he was fed all of his nutrients. All Jack could do was worry right now though, hoping things wouldn’t go badly, but at the same time wondering where the crystal was she could feel thrumming along inside of there. Was it inside though? That was the hard part to figure out, she couldn’t exactly pinpoint it’s location, at least not yet.

That was the cool thing about being able to sense where crystals and nodes were, she could zero in on where they were after moving quite some time and narrowing down her field of searching. Bigfoot didn’t understand it as she told him what she was doing, but she needed to hear her own voice for a little bit, she wasn’t scared of chasing anything off, she wasn’t necessarily looking for anything at this point either. Jack pushed her hair back with a little sigh and shook her head, hoping that everything would work out for her. Soon she would figure out what she was really looking for, while it was nice to have crystals, she knew that wasn’t what she was majorly looking for at least. Sighing, the woman shook her head a bit, hoping that everything would work out in the long run. Whatever, they would figure something out for a little while, she just needed to keep going.

Truth be told, she just wished she could give the fossil his nutrients and then head over to the museum pretty soon. It wasn’t like she was in too much of a rush, but she wanted to see what he would be like when he was fully grown. Jack patted him on the head as she wandered through the maze, picking things up on occasion and wondering what they were. There were a lot of strange leaves in the maze as well, and she smiled a little as she thought about what they could be used for. She already had items from the Wishing Well, she didn’t need any more of them it would seem, but she could either sell them or trade them to Curious Collections for something, she knew with a chuckle. At least there was something they were good for, though she didn’t know which option she would go for just yet. Jack picked up a leaf and ran her fingers over the strange face on it, everything was odd this month.

With the beginning of the maze behind them, the woman smiled a little and wondered what to do at the moment. Bigfoot was alright at the same time, and he was a little less shaky than he had been a little while before this had happened. He was still a little shaky from what had happened with the angel a little while before, but things would be alright in the end no matter what. Jack smiled a little as she figured out where to go for now, and the woman had no idea what to do with everything. What was going to happen in the meantime? Shaking her head, the woman took a left after a little while of deciding what was going to happen for a little while no matter what. There was a thrumming feeling coming from there, from what she could tell, but that was hard right now.

It was very hard to pinpoint where things were right now, the sky was growing ever darker, and the corn was so high up it was hard to see the moon. The woman sighed a little and summoned a little ball of light to follow her around, using her magic instead of her flashlight so she would have her hands free if something were to happen. Glancing down at Bigfoot, she wondered if he was enjoying his trip at all as well, and wondered if she should have kept him in the mines or something. That was the worst of it all, but it didn’t really matter in the long run. Shaking her head, she knew she had to get down there sometime soon, she needed more crystals and she always seemed to find the wrong one whenever she did find one. Oh well, it just meant she was going to get closer to another new node, though maybe not the one she wanted to get at this point.

With everything not really going the way she wanted it to, she sighed a little and figured things could at least be worse. It could be raining outside, for one, and the woman rubbed her face a little before smiling down at Bigfoot a little and hoping he was going to be alright. What was she going to do for the moment? She needed him to gain more experience so she could feed him another nutrient, it wasn’t going fast enough for her sadly. Giving a little frown, she pushed forward so she could hopefully find the crystal that was calling to her, but sadly she hit a dead end. The woman grumbled to herself and the Longneck looked at her oddly before shrugging and laying down in the bag, ignoring the little ooze in the glass jar she had pocketed a little while before. If he could ignore that, then he could ignore next to anything.

Honestly she just had to figure out what she really wanted to do with him after he evolved and all that. The little pink and purple fossil wasn’t sure what she was thinking when she looked down at him, but figured it might not be good… Jack chuckled and rubbed his neck before he cuddled back down again, and then she turned around and walked back the way she came. Mazes were fun as long as she had a way out of it no matter what happened, she knew, and the woman pushed her hair back as she tried to figure out where she was going at the moment. Maybe having Alexei hover overhead would be the best idea, but no, she wasn’t going to do that for awhile at least, that was the worst part of it all. Chewing on her lip, the woman pushed forward, ready to get out of there for a little while.

He wasn’t ready for another nutrient yet, but she had them on hand just in case. Maybe she would give him the two Omega-3 bottles before anything else, he was probably pretty thirsty after all this fat she had given him. As she wandered through the maze some more, she realized she hadn’t seen anything else in there aside from the two of them, and she wasn’t feeling any closer to the thrumming feeling she felt, and she wondered if it was, in fact, in this maze or not. Tilting her head, she thought about it for a little while and hoped that everything was going to be fine. Oh well if it wasn’t, she had plenty of things to deal with at the moment and all that. A chuckle escaped her, she was well equipped for the Mansion, she had her magic and her swords, she could handle herself and the fossil.
