Another month saw Briar at the trader's again. With the way things had been as of late, he was just as glad for a simpler request, and the chance to be away from the estate, however briefly. Not that those other requests didn't see him sent elsewhere, but...
It was also nice when the items he brought to exchange weren't still living -- he never did like to transport fish, on the occasions that those were what he was being sent off with -- but he didn't know quite how to feel when the items were from his own garden. Or rather, the garden he tended; the land itself and theoretically all that grew on it still belonged to Noa. And now it was being used to fund Noa's schemes.
Still, this wasn't the first time it had happened, and Briar doubted it would be the last. He placed the fruits onto the counter with more than his usual amount of care, then signed, -Would you take these for a magic crystal?-

The only indicator that the trader understood what was being said was a slight tilt of his head. Still, it was pretty easy to tell what he was thinking after that, as he lifted each fruit, checking each one for ripeness and freshness. Soon he pulled them towards his side of the counter and replaced them with a small case. Even before you touched it however, you could feel how it vibrates....
