There was a clamor at the kennel bulletin board this morning. Several pairs of feet moving up and down the halls outside, keeping Ridelys awake after a long night of doing some studying of metalwork. Without the forge open, she just let the sorted stones sit on shelves and in sacks. That would be fine. But why was it so darn noisy?! Rousing from her slouched reading position, the theron pulled the door open. Her clawed hand shot out, snagging a passerby. The passerby, not expecting to be caught, gave a shriek of surprise. "What is all the noise." Ridelys asked them, rubbing one ear with her opposite hand. "Qu.. qu...quests! We have things to do again!" the passerby squeaked. "Please let me go!" Doing so, she watched the passerby stare in fear then flee for their lives. Fine, she'd go look at the board. Just a pest extermination from someone's prize vegetable garden. Well, that wasn't horrible. It would be a good time to bring out one of her birds and let them stretch their wings. Hence, why she was here now, in this garden, with a jibiji in a little cage at her side.

As she walked, the cage swinging in her free hand, Ridelys counted off the plots of garden as she passed. The address of the specific area had a specific number, 42319, to be precise. The sun just started cresting over the trees when she left the kennel that morning, slowly crawling into the sky. A slight yawn. Except for getting out for fresh air and stretching her legs, the theron didn't really possess that much of a green thumb. Gardens were free to those who applied for them, and only plant based labs-creatures or those bought from the gardener. Kestrel pulled his head closer to his shoulders, shielding his eyes with a wing once they went outside. It was so bright out, at least for him. He'd never been outside before. Blinking beady black eyes, the tiny songraptor found a brand new, and very big world unfolding before him. Aha, here it was. Ridelys opened the gate, swinging it open to allow herself inside. So many sprouts! 11.3 post 2

Ridelys didn't garden. Hardly at all. The basic care of plants is supposed to be so simple, but not everyone who tried succeeded. She had only visited the gardening stores in the city a few times over the years; most of the gear had gone to someone else (and with luck they had a green thumb). With a closing of the gate behind her, the theron crouched on the ground, setting the cage down in front of her. A click, and the little door swung open. Good idea? Maybe. From what she had seen, there was some mesh around the bottom of the fences. Kestrel didn't specifically know how to fly very much or very high, so she'd see him pretty easily. Kestrel found his cage open. Glancing up, he looked at the one who fed him. She nodded. He hopped out, sight overwhelmed by green. So many big sprouts! 11.4 post 3
