Amelia brought Eve along, who was an old grandmotherly type. The Wiurn was large, and her kind was few and far in between. The natural breeds had went extinct, and it was only special lab created versions that were still alive, and even then not many were out and about. A newer species of Wiurn had emerged, and this kind was "better," according to the lab folk. Amelia didn't really know much about it, but she cared for Eve all the same. She was the oldest of all of the pets apparently, and her age showed in her movements. She moved slower and more deliberately compared to some of the careless younger Sarane. She was quite powerful, but Amelia hadn't seen Eve do much in terms of fighting. Hunting occasionally, or perhaps scavenging, as she only ever saw Eve with the end results of a kill. She thought the Wiurn would enjoy coming to this garden like place, and perhaps get some snacks in too. It couldn't hurt to try. Eve typically ate larger objects, but perhaps she could be swayed to eat a caterpillar or two. Or at least enjoy her time there. Amelia closed the gate behind her with a creak, and looked amongst the garden. At first sight, there didn't seem to be much of anything. Leaves, plants, some weeds. A lot of dirt. If she had to guess, it almost looked uncared for. The mammalian put her bag on the other side of the small fence and lowered herself closer to the ground. Moving around on four feet surprisingly wasn't easier for her, but it did get her closer to the ground. She crept towards a leaf and lifted it quickly. She jumped back with a shriek, holy shit. Bugs everywhere. Caterpillars, roaches, whatever they were they were plentiful. She quickly became aware of her feet, and she groaned and kicked her feet into the air, doing an unhappy dance of some type. The sound she had made had woken the pests, and the creepy crawlers were everywhere. "Eve quick!" The Wiurn turned her head away from the mammalian and towards the garden. With a great flap of her wings she was in the centre of the garden. She swung her tail across the ground. The force of her tail against the ground along with the air current she had created stirred the leaves and more bugs were visible. Excited now about the game she created, the Wiurn dove forward and snatched one into her jaws. A quick crunch and the pest was no more. She brought her wings down and moved across the ground (comparable to a bat,) snatching bugs up. Sometimes she would just chew and spit them out, sometimes she would swallow them whole. Luckily this carnivore was not that picky, and she was doing it more for the joy of the hunt then for the food. "There's a lot of them, I'm not sure if you can just eat them all." Post: 1 Eve: 27.6

Amelia swerved out of the Wiurn's way as she munched on bugs. They began to sense the danger the Wiurn brought, moving out of her path quickly. A spiked tail swung once more. This time she unrooted a plant (or a weed?) that was growing, spilled dirt everywhere with the uprooting. More leaves danced a foot or two above the ground, the air lifting them in a rhythmic motion. She pulled up a hind leg, and used her back claws to pick up a rather fat bug. Her talons were capable of carrying Galibex, yet here she was playing with bugs. And the Wiurn could not be happier. She cooed and cawed at the pests, her youth coming back to her. Having a purpose was important for many of the lab creatures, and unfortunately most of them lived simple and unexciting lives. The large body made its way through the garden, but it seemed as though no matter what she did, there were always more bugs showing up. She could pull one from a hole, throwing it into the air and then catching it in her mouth and another five would show up. Unfortunately, this may not be the best way to clear the garden.
"Eve, there has to be a different way that will work better." Of course, the Wiurn didn't understand the common language. So she continued on with her games, letting the mammalian think through what was going to be done with the rest of the pest problem. When she signed up to help, she did not think it would be this bad. She wondered how they had got here in the first place, and where they continued to come from. They would continue to multiply if that wasn't dealt with. Perhaps a nest? Or a main hole? Amelia inspected the fence, and the soft hum of electricity running through the wires indicated to her that that was not the most ideal way to come in. Yes, the gate was not electric, but the surrounding fence should be able to keep them out. Did they burrow? Had they dug underneath the wires to come in? That was a more logical explanation. Amelia could only imagine what the garden looked like before the invasion. Now weeds, shrubs, dirt and leaves covered the grounds whereas she was sure that healthy plants once thrived. She could understand why the gardener was so keen on getting rid of these pests.

The mammalian picked up a large branch, with bugs dripping off onto the ground. She hissed and threw the branch over the fence, watching pests fly off as it zoomed through the air. It landed a few feet away, and she wondered if that would really stop anything or they would try to make their way back. She grimaced and narrowed her eyes, scanning the garden ground for other things she could try to do. Most of the ground was covered, so her next guess was that there was either a large nest or a large hole somewhere hidden where these pests were getting in. If that could be fixed then perhaps it would help solve the problem... But then of course the pests that were here would still need to get exterminated. Eve was making decent progress, pulling pests in every direction. Amelia was noticing that there were many times she would just kill one and leave it on the ground. However, the leaves and debris still covered most of the garden, and the Wiurn wasn't helping much with that. Luckily, Amelia didn't want to stop moving due to her fear of getting overrun with pests. Anytime she stood still too soon, she would feel something crawl over a back paw. Occasionally her tail would drag and one would latch on there. The snow leopard lept through the garden, pulling over rocks and moving aside plants to try to find the source of the infestation. Everywhere she looked, there was more bugs. Different kinds, but they were almost everywhere. Eating dead leaves, eating whatever plants and vegetation that was left...
Eve raked her claws against a section, pulling dirt and roots up with it. The pests were trying to scurry away from her now, but it didn't seem like a lot of hope at this point. She was having a hard time keeping up, and it seemed as though they were endless. Even if she thought she had killed or destroyed a bunch, the space was quickly filled by other crawling things. She turned her head to the mammalian and let out a loud sigh. The white feline was pulling things around, trying to find where these things were coming from. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to offer to help.

...It seemed that the closer to the middle of the garden that one could go; the bugs were getting larger and larger... Would that be where the queen was hiding? Or was it a clever ploy, one could never know...

For the most part, it seemed they had been tackling around the outskirts. Eve liked the sound the fence made, and she would throw bugs against the fence to hear the 'pssssss' from the electricity against the bugs. She tilted her head and looked at the mammalian, wondering how much longer they wanted to play here. It didn't exactly look like something they wanted to do all day. Eve was getting her fill of food, but at the same time getting her fill of fun. A few wing beats and she was on the other side of the garden, scraping her claws and dragging her tail as she moved. She enjoyed the pulling of the plants, unearthing many critters. Amelia watching the Wiurn move across, noticing the large, fat crawlers she was unearthing. Along the sides of the garden, she was getting creatures only half that large. Did she dare venture closer within the middle? She didn't exactly feel prepared to handle the large creepy crawlers, but she probably should go see what was in store. Perhaps that was the answer that the two of them were looking for.
She moved towards the patch Eve had unearthed. Large, fat critters crawled around. They looked anywhere like a mix between a caterpillar and a slug, and something that was eating way too much. Engorged from their feasting, Amelia understood how much of a problem they could be. Some were at least a foot long, and she was beginning to realize just how troublesome this pest problem was for the owner of the garden, and why he was so determined to get it cleared out. She called Eve over, who quickly moved towards the mammalian and her find. "Look here Eve, these things are huge. Is this because they've had a chance to eat more? Are they more developed? Are they a different type of creature then the ones we've been seeing?" Amelia mostly spoke to herself. Eve rested her head against the snow leopard's shoulder, watching the fat sluggish creatures crawl around.
In a blur of green, the Wiurn zipped forward and grabbed a critter. She held it in her jaws, and Amelia watched as it wiggled hopelessly, trying to free itself from its capture. In another quick blur, Eve had tossed it in the air and caught in again in her jaws, and in a few quick chomps and a swallow the critter was no more. "Well okay, how do you feel about eating all of these things?" The question lingered in the air, most likely to be unanswered. It was difficult deciding what it is they could do about this pest problem. There were just so many.

It seems as though eating the caterpillars is quite effective! Soon all are gone and the gardener is finally relieved.
