Morgan laughed hard, and it frightened the creature trembling in the backpack even more, which made it poke it's head out instead of trembling and crouching harder, the tiny creature hissed and scratched at the top of the backpack, trying to intimidate Morgan and the hen. The hen seemed somewhat confused at this loud and frightening display as well. Humans stood up on two legs, after all, and tended to be quite tall for their size, making them look a lot larger than they actually were. However, Morgan was a bit small for a human around these parts. Despite the loud booming noise, only somewhat higher pitched than would be expected, and the creature obviously not being frightened of her, the hen still decided to make a move for it, pouncing with claws outstretched toward the creature, making the most frightful noise that Morgan had managed to not be afraid of whatsoever.

Morgan was sure that this was not normal, and not good, but the idea would be to try to stay alive right now, right? Morgan instinctively put a hand up as the female black sarane jumped up at them, and then focused almost unnaturally on the hen's eyes. Then right behind them, and Morgan almost felt some kind of... electrical gathering there? Morgan instinctively shielded their own body with their arms, pushing the palms out, and then made fists, and as soon as they made fists they felt themselves hollar out. The hen immediately dropped to the ground, screaming in pain, and writhed horrifically on the ground, foaming at the mouth and shaking. Morgan swallowed, and then blinked back a sudden deluge of wetness on the eyes; as if a bit of a knot was unfurled all at once. Morgan felt a little tired, and the tiny sarane in the backpack was staring out over the blond human's shoulders at the hen.

Morgan was absolutely exhausted all of a sudden, dropping to their knees on the dusty ground of the cave. Foam left the hen's mouth in flying spittle as she seemed to have some kind of a... Seizure? Morgan looked down at their hands for a moment, and then suddenly threw up. Watching the seizure, and then feeling all of that energy drain out immediately made Morgan sick at their stomach. It was obvious, after heaving until they were dry-heaving, that Morgan had caused that... Somehow. Made the electricity in the brain of this creature fry and spark. The hen slowly stilled to a stop, and then seemed to attempt to figure out where it was. Morgan watched with horrified facial expressions as the creature got up onto it's feet. Well, on one hand it was a good thing that Morgan didn't kill the hen, but on the other hand, was it going to kill them now? The tiny sarane struggled and cuddled back down into the backpack, trying to hide.

Morgan stood up all at once, backing away from the vomit and the sarane for a moment, mostly so that they didn't accidentally fall on the slick if the hen tried it again. Instead, the hen stood there, staring at human with bright wide... Fearful? Golden eyes. Morgan watched curiously, narrowing their glowing green eyes. As soon as the blond human did this, it made green fill up the flash of the glasses; and that terrified the hen the rest of the way. Perhaps not wanting to randomly fall on the ground and writhe again, the hen turned tail, perhaps wisely, and then scooted away. Morgan hadn't noticed that they had been holding a breath until now, and they let it out with a slight woop. Morgan watched the sarane go until it disappeared from the light of the crappy flashlight that they had brought. Morgan didn't shake, didn't fear, didn't run or panic. Instead, they just turned around quietly.

Morgan knew that they were in here for a reason; that was probably the sarane, and Morgan needed to get to... The nest! The nest, yes, that was it. Morgan felt that they could no longer hear the scrape of nails across the dusty floor of the mines. Morgan knew that it was time to get this going. The bespectacled human turned around to walk down the hallway. The nest should be down there, right? Morgan could finally begin to see it, a large conglomerate of rocks and sticks. It had no intact eggs, but instead had quite a few broken shells... Was the female's hatched creatures already grown by now, or were they around somewhere? Morgan couldn't feel the creatures anywhere, so the idea was that it was empty. Morgan talked theirself through it, walking over to the nest carefully. Now... What was this item that this individual had left there? Morgan could feel the sarane hatchling begin to get less fearful, and poke it's head out of the backpack again.

Morgan picked up a few of the rocks carefully and turned them over, turning around and around in the nest. "If I was an idiot, where would I drop some kind of illicit object..." Morgan whispered. "I can't even imagine..." Then, immediately upon muttering this half-sarcastically, Morgan found it. And could completely understand why the guy wanted this hush-hush, but had no idea why that had been here of all places. Just why would someone even... Do that here... Morgan turned around and grabbed something carefully out of their backpack, pushing past the frightened but curious sarane chick to grab a bit of cloth. Then Morgan picked up the item, and wrapped it up carefully without touching. Morgan then put the thing in the backpack in an area where the creature would not be able to get out of it. "Well, alrighty then. We are getting out of here." Morgan said, before walking out the nest to begin the trek back home.
