The three moved forward toward where the jerky was, ignoring, just a bit, the person who threw the jerky at them. The leader of them smacked it's tail against the ground and then sniffed over at the person, wondering if they had more on them.

Morgan definitely had more on them, and they couldn't help but be excited about the prospect of giving them a few piece of jerky to further explore what they were like. Already, the big lead one was slapping their tail on the ground, and that was pretty neat! "Oh, more? I've got more." Morgan glanced down for just a moment, and pulled another piece from their pocket as quickly as possible. Then, they came a little closer, holding out the piece on a whim. If the creature tied to bite them, they would probably be able to pull away. These creatures looked a lot slower on the land than they were in the water, perhaps those frills facilitated in their additional agility in the waves? Still, the human was going to see if the creature would take it from their hand. Perhaps it was a dumb idea? Nico's tail slapped the sand a bit, still anxious about what was going on; ready to jump in to help if the need arose.

The big one led the other two to the person and then sniffed the jerky before snatching it away from their hand. It sat there and conferred with it's friends for a moment before bobbing it's head and hunting for more jerky, snuffling at the person's hand, as though agreeing to go with them as long as there was food. [Congratulations, you've tamed the trio!] A couple of items washed to shore behind them.

After getting the trio back home along with Nico's very muchly appreciated help, Morgan was sure that there would be no more reasons to come back to the Mansion this month. However, a strange idea had formed in Morgan's mind; they wanted to be there when the month changed over to see what happened. Morgan wasn't sure if something bad would happen to anyone who was there when it transformed, but Morgan really wanted to know. Morgan figured that they might as well go to figure it out; Morgan was an elemental after all, even if they had no idea how to do basically anything with the magic. They'd slowed down on using it after the whole Waar incident... But they were sure that they could take care of theirself if the need arose. Today, they were bringing Domino with them. Morgan was convinced that they would be able to train her better if they had more time spent around one another one on one.

Morgan knew that this probably still wouldn't be enough time spent with Domino to get her to grow, since that was the way that most people suggested trying to get the highly variable seryn to grow. Morgan had been told by their father that the creatures would grow at their own pace, once they felt comfortable and 'loved' according to him. Morgan would probably have doubted this if they hadn't seen their father's grow, and fly. For now, Morgan was pulling the red cart with the travel tank behind them, knowing that they would have to stick to the footpaths this go around. Sand was probably going to be a nightmare on these wheels... However, Morgan wanted to see the mansion change over more than anything else. That was why they walked the fence on the mansion yard, or rather Morgan did while pulling the travel tank with Domino in it, anyway.

Domino loved to go places, even though it couldn't have been the most comfortable thing ever (being pulled around in a travel tank that was only about three times the body length of herself and all). She cast her frosty silver gaze all over the place, practically drinking in all of the information to be found there. Morgan was pleased to see how much she seemed to enjoy it, even if Morgan couldn't really converse with her like they did with the tat-lungs. It was pretty obvious by this point that Domino was quite intelligent. Morgan knew that seryn were, but it was hard to believe it at first, after all of these years since Morgan had seen one. Now it would seem that Domino was just as adventurous as Morgan tended to be. She seemed excited to be here, even though that she had no idea where they were. New things were just that; novelties to her.

Morgan could relate to Domino a bit in this way, or perhaps they were just anthropomorphizing her a bit. She didn't look to be anxious, only excited. Her human-like but silver eyes seemed to betray a sort of twinkle in it that really struck Morgan as being pretty curious about her surroundings. Morgan fought the urge to speak at Domino as they searched for the opening in the gate to go further into the mansion grounds. The fence was still the same as it had been the last few months; which made Morgan a bit curious. They ran a hand along it carefully, feeling the nice smooth and cold paint thinly placed on the wrought iron. Yes, this was definitely the same, but Domino was seeing it for the first time. They wished that they could explain what it was to Domino, to try to give some context to her in some way.

The human felt a bit bad, of course, but putting an RoT on a fish sounded a little difficult and awful; wouldn't it be soggy all the time? That would be a shame. Buying a ring just for her, the only seryn that Morgan owned and maybe would ever own, was a waste. Morgan would just have to make do with dealing with Domino without being able to communicate effectively, which would be fine. Morgan needed to study sentience anyway, and being able to study this whenever there was a language barrier would be super good for Morgan in the long run. That tat-lungs, after all, didn't have this language barrier anymore thanks to the ring.
As for now, Domino was flitting about so that she could try to look at everything, absolutely everything around her. "Well, what do you think you see?" Morgan couldn't help it, and could have face-palmed. Really, talking to the fish, Morgan?

Ugh, Morgan really had to think about that one. Despite all of the rather cerebral thinking that Morgan spent time doing, they still couldn't keep theirself from babbling randomly at creatures that couldn't and wouldn't ever understand what they were saying. What a mess- not that Domino would understand or mind. Morgan glanced back up and was pleased to see that there was a gate just ahead. Usually the gate that they went to every single time was in the exact same place, but Morgan had noticed that it was not there this time. Was the mansion getting upset with Morgan's continuous coming this month? As soon as Morgan thought that, they just about groaned at theirself. Really? Are we really going to act like the mansion is some kind of a being right now? Morgan blew that off, refusing to believe it. They had a lot more experimentation to do before they could make any assumptions about the mansion.

The human couldn't help but feel like they might have been losing their touch, somehow. They couldn't help but feel strange calling things every once in a while, like there was something around the mansion. Each time they felt that hair-raising feeling on the back of their neck, they had been able to find a strange clear crystal. Morgan somehow knew what they were; sure they had seen a few before when making their own node, but it was still amazing to be able to find them theirself. They had no idea how they were managing that, in all honesty. They would have to study it a bit more, in the future. They made it to the gate, standing on the sand near it, and had to push back the sand a bit with their boot to spring it open. Then, the turned and grinned at Domino, a bit. "Well, looks like we'll get to go further on the grounds, huh?"

There it was again, that infernal yapping at the animals thing again. Well, they tried to calm theirself a bit at that one from being super frustrated; Domino was sentient enough at least; so they weren't completely being ridiculous, they guessed. Domino seemed happy enough to both be there and be spoken at, even if she didn't really understand it. She swam around in a happy circle, if not a lopsided enough one. "Well, I guess that is an answer enough for me. Let's go." How illogical was this! Morgan was the one pulling Domino along in the travel tank of the cart, anyway. Telling her 'lets go' was absolutely ridiculous. Perhaps it was because Morgan was so used to taking Nico with them? Morgan had taken Nico out on a walk of course, earlier on in the day. That had to be it, it was the only thing that really made sense. [133]

Despite Morgan attempting to convince theirself that there was no way the Mansion was sentient, Morgan had this undeniable feeling of being watched as they stepped through the gate they had opened, pulling the red cart with some difficulty, and finally closing the gate behind them. They breathed in, deeply, and then sighed out. Well, this was it! If Morgan was nervous about this, they couldn't really tell. It was like a ghost pain; a phantom limb of a sensation. It felt like they should be nervous, but they just... Weren't. They hadn't been scared when breaking Waar, while getting him uh, fixed, and while being attacked by the sarane that felt like it happened so long ago... No, they just weren't afraid. Not even when they had performed that quest with the monster in the basement. But this time, they felt like they should. Domino didn't seem to notice, and continued to seem excited.

Morgan was not a believer in the rumor that some creatures knew that trouble was coming naturally before it even did any better than a human. However, Morgan had been that way ever since they had been knee-high to a golossle, so they trusted their own instincts much more than they would had it only been Domino feeling it. Morgan glanced down at Domino, hazel eyes meeting silver, and looked a bit concerned, wondering if the creature might understand what Morgan was thinking or feeling based off of their facial expression. It would seem that the psycho-social bond had not gotten to that point yet, much to Morgan's dismay. It felt like they were working so slowly with the seryn, whereas Morgan felt like Nico's bond formed ultra quickly, almost too quickly. Morgan gave a light sigh, and then an uneasy grin. "Well, here we are." Morgan said, before continuing on.

The deeper mansion grounds looked almost... Lonely today. Morgan couldn't help but tilt their head as they thought about it, messy golden locks falling into their eyes in front of their glasses. Something was definitely wrong, and half of Morgan wanted to turn back. A strange feeling flirted up into Morgan's throat; thrill. Morgan was excited, interested in figuring out what this danger was. What were the chances of something actually bad happening that Morgan couldn't deal with? Morgan doubted that it was anything too bad, besides, Morgan is an elemental. That thought combined with the approximately fifty percent of their mind was enough to tip the balance, and Morgan scooted forward silently, dragging the red cart as they continued along. The sand was odd, this time. Russet-red, instead of the pale golden or the rare spots of black they had seen the past couple of months. It occurred to them that they could hardly wait for the theme to change. The ocean felt... Boring to them, if not a bit scary.

There was something odd about this month, in fact. Morgan stood there for a second atop a small hillock of mostly rock-like pebbles in the rusty sand, holding the handle of the red cart that they were using to pull Domino around in her travel tank. There was a strange whistling noise going on, and Morgan wasn't sure where it was coming from. After focusing on it a little bit, Morgan could tell that Domino could hear it too, if only through the tiny ripples in the water. It didn't seem like it was high enough to bust the glass, at least; not that it was bust this glass anyway. It wasn't Actual glass, more plexi-glass, but Morgan was curious anyway and cautious. Domino was seeming to realize that Morgan wasn't making this noise, and it certainly was not at all normal. But where was it coming from? At least Domino was hearing it too.
