Jack grinned a little as she walked into the Training Gym, this time without a Sarane at her side. No, today it was her absolute favorite beast ever, Kro. She would sign in, then summon him when she got to the waterfall, it was the best way to do it she figured with a grin on her face. Hopefully neither of them would peter out after awhile, they could simply keep going and keep going as best as they could, but for now she was going to focus on what they were supposed to do instead of what she hoped they could do. It was simple enough, increase his resistance so they could enter the tournament she had heard about finally. It was the only thing she really wanted to mess with at the moment, sure they had some additional training, but until she could set aside a block of time for the well trained Thundergug, she didn't know what else to do with him right now. Kro was happy to have some attention again, though he would never admit to it, but she could feel a pleased sensation across the link they shared, showing that he wanted the attention and had missed her for quite some time it seemed. Well, she hoped not to do what she did last winter again in the future, that was the ultimate hope, but she didn't know if she was going to be able to do it, it all depended on how this new leg did in the long run. She got to the desk, signed in while she flashed her membership card, and then off she went into the Gym, hoping she would be training alone at this point, she didn't want him to get distracted by anything else. Sure, he was pretty hard to distract, but still, it wasn't a risk she wanted to take at this point. Jack smiled a little and pushed her hair back as she carried a few items with her, at least they were small until you got to the wraps, they had to be big to fit around a fully grown Thundergug's legs after all. Grinning, she summoned her Thundergug with their code word, the bracelet on her arm flashing for a moment before he popped into existence next to her, grunting and nudging her when he saw where they were. His dexterity had increased the last three times they had been to the Gym, and she was sure they would reach their current goal as well without much of an issue. Jack was sure of it, and she hoped that things would work out in their favor no matter what. Reaching up, she patted him on the nose and nuzzled into his neck a little, she had missed working with him for so long, it was nice to be back, and he let out a low grunt in return, sensing her feelings when it came to him. He loved her too, she could feel it, he just had an odd way to show it, he was stoic and unyielding all the time, it was difficult to find a chink in his armor, but she was sure someone would find it, and she was trying to fix that as best as possible for the moment. Jack pushed her hair back again and got to work wrapping his legs as best as she could. The bandages came with hooks on one end so she could finally link the two ends together, which was a good thing when it came to something like this. Jack couldn't believe what was going to happen, her boy was going to get so much better at everything the more they were here, though after awhile he wouldn't be allowed back here of course. She grinned a little and patted him on the cheek before planting a kiss on his nearest horn, she was so happy to be with him again it was a little ridiculous, and she hoped that things would work out in the meantime of course. The stopwatch was in her hand and the power water, vegetable of course, was sitting next to her feet along with her bag and walking stick. Across the way the waterfall roared and pounded into the little pool below it. Kro eyed it with apprehension, he wasn't quite sure what was going to happen and while that was fine, he also needed to trust her, which he did completely. If she told him to get in there, he would, he knew it would only be for his own good, but that didn't make it any easier at this point. Jack chewed on her lip for a moment, hoping Kro could take this, but he'd taken some big hits before and come out on top, that had to count for something she figured with a little smile on her face. It would be alright, she would be fine and then they would both go home, he would be better and then he could rest a bit, it would all work out fine she figured with a low chuckle, gaining her an inquisitive look from the massive Thundergug. Bigger than the rest, she had given him a growth potion so he was much more massive than the others, and she couldn't love him more than she already did she felt. He was the perfect animal for her and they just needed to work things out a bit before she could get things done. Nothing was going to go wrong, he would do better and better as time went on for a bit and all she could do was hope that things were going to happen well. Jack smiled a little, she knew this was going to go well and then they could go take a rest, but until then, they really needed to get to work. Kro's survival depended on it. Slowly the wraps went around the Thundergug's legs, above the feet and below the body, making sure to overlap each one so there were two levels to each spot she could see. They would help with the pain, or at least that's what she thought, she might take them off after a little while just to see if he could handle it. Anything to keep him from a great deal of pain to start off with, but then when things got easier, she would adapt and get them off, make him realize there was more to it than what he was used to so far. But for now they were staying on and that's what mattered. She figured she would time him and get him to stay in as long as possible, then increase his time after that again and again until he could stay under for awhile. At least she could change the rush of the waterfall, and she turned it into a mere trickle to start him off with. It's what she had done with Alexei, so it should work for Kro as well, at least as far as she could tell at this point. Jack pushed her hair back and then glanced down at the water next to her, the flavored water for Kro, it would be used about halfway through the training to keep him hydrated and everything, even though he was going to be under a massive waterfall by the end of the training. She grinned, this was going to be interesting, and her typically quiet Thundergug was still quiet, grunting in affirmation or denial whenever she asked him a question. He was a beast of few words and she liked that about him, it was simple and easy to get across what they wanted of each other, and their mental bond helped with their communication at the same time. She just hoped it wouldn't be too much for them, she figured with a little cough. She was getting a cold she figured, the snow had melted long ago and the weather warmed up. Now it was a cold rain outside, nothing good for her at the moment she thought, but at least she could say she did something with her life?
Her life had been a joke for so long, she thought as she watched Kro wade into the little pool of water the waterfall was pouring into. It had been rough growing up, and while she didn't regret her time in the Navy, she figured her time could have been better spent somewhere else. Here, for example. Jack gave a sigh and then directed Kro under the waterfall and facing toward her, getting a grunt in return. She loved that beast, and she cracked a grin as he stood under the trickle of water, not really knowing what was going on. Soon he was completely wet, but that wasn't the part that she was concerned about, she was concerned about how hard the water was coming down. The harder it came, the better his resistance to it in the end, but she didn't know what else to do at the moment aside from turn it up a bit. Kro grunted a bit as the water came down harder, and she saw him spread his legs a bit and bear down a little more than he usually did to keep his balance. It would be hard to knock him off balance, but that was fine she figured with a little smile as she sat down by the knob and watched him. His massive head swung around toward her and he grunted. "You've got to be there for a bit, big guy," she told him with a sympathetic smile, "It's the best way to increase your resistance to attacks." Kro snorted in irritation but turned his head back forward and dealt with the water coming down on him. It was going to take awhile, and Jack didn't want to get any more than about half pressure for this training run before they had to come back for the other time they could be here. They had implemented new rules about the Gym awhile ago, which was irritating but what could you do?
Nothing was going to go wrong with this, and as she looked down at the timer, she kept an eye on the Thundergug as well to make sure he wasn't pushing himself too much at this point, she didn't want him to fizzle out before they got to the harder stuff she figured with a little frown. While she didn't think the Thundergug would do that, it was too much to assume that he wouldn't have to at some point, and so she kept and eye on him as well as the stopwatch. She had to keep time as best as she could so she knew when to push him further the next time he went under the water. Already he was starting to get tired of it, and was bowing down a little bit under the pressure. It wasn't a lot, but it was constant and moving all the time, water was different than when she was in the saddle, so she was sure it was harder for him to do this than have her on his back. She smiled a little and patted him when he finally came out from under the water and came to nudge her, splattering her with water, but luckily after she stopped the stopwatch. Hopefully a little water wouldn't ruin it, but if it did she supposed she could always get a new one, she was sure Alexis would understand about that sort of thing. She watched as Kro trudged around the room for a moment or two, shaking off the water on his back, and then wondered what it was going to be like when she was out of things to train him. That was going to be strange, but she didn't think that would happen soon, would it?

While Kro took a bit of a break, she wandered around a little, testing her leg out on some of the equipment. Sure, it wasn't necessarily for people to use, but she didn't think it would be frowned upon if she explained what had happened. It wasn't every day someone regrew a leg and had to relearn how to be balanced with it and all that. Jack smiled a little, she was a little off balance but not by much, it was just going to take a little while in order to get things together and all better just like they had been before the accident. Now if she could only do something about her nightmares, that would be perfect, but she had a feeling that wasn't going to go away any time soon or anything, it was just something she was going to have to figure out how to live with in the end of it all. She sighed a little and yawned as she shook her head, wondering what she was going to do about things as of yet. She hopped off of a chair in the middle of the floor and directed Kro back to the waterfall, which was going just as fast as it had been before when he stopped. Kro bobbed his head a little and lumbered toward the waterfall, getting under it and turning around so he could see the woman start the stopwatch. Jack pushed the button to get it to start and recalled how much time it had taken for him to quit last time. They needed to beat that time if they were going to get anything done, which would be amazing if they could get this trained in one session. She wished she could train him a resistance, but that required so much pain she wasn't sure she could do it to him. A resistance to physical attacks would be lovely, but until then she didn't know what else to do at the moment. Jack smiled a little and rubbed her legs, it was cold outside and she was getting a bit of a cold, but that was fine, she would be fine, she knew it.
Whatever had happened to her in the past was in the past now, she had to remember that, and remember it she tried to do. It took awhile though, for her to think that way, to let it not affect her future as much as it did, but that was how things went at this point she figured. Jack shook her head a little as Kro stood under the waterfall, getting stronger and stronger as time went on, and she glanced down and checked the stopwatch. He was starting to wear out a little bit, but the time had just passed where he had quit the time before, so she encouraged him to stay where he was just a minute longer and no more. If he could do that, then they would be going a step in the right direction, and she could be happy with their progress so far. She thought they, of course, but certainly it was him, but she was there to make sure he actually did what he was supposed to do and all that. Jack smiled a bit and let him out from under the water a few moments later, when the stopwatch hit a certain time. She was sure he would do better this way, she just hoped she wasn't wasting both of their time in order to do this. This was going to make him better than he already was, however, and she had to remember that in order to keep going with the training. They would both want to quit at some point, though Kro was stubborn and wouldn't admit to it, of course, but she knew he would want to but wouldn't to make her happy. He also knew she was making him better than he already had been, so that was something as well, she figured with a little smile.
As much as he might try to deny it, he had a severe soft spot for the woman. He would only answer in grunts, and she had learned what they meant as time went on thanks to the connection they shared. He always grunted over the Ribbon as well, though the occasional word would pop out as well. She chuckled and patted his nearest leg as he lumbered over to stand by her. He had a soft spot for him and while she wouldn't make fun of him for it, it did seem to amuse her. He also had a couple of small feline pocketpets he liked to have with him at all times, though she collected them while they trained so they didn't accidentally get crushed by the massive beast. He took deep breaths and Jack thought about opening up the power water for him, but not just yet, they weren't even halfway done with training, it wouldn't do to open it just yet, she figured with a little chuckle. She sat there next to the Thundergug for a little while before wondering what would have happened had she never found this stoic animal when she first came to the Labs. They were great, he was great, and she just wished other people saw their potential as well, though she figured some were a little intimidated by them when it all came down to it. Jack knew not everyone was in the market for a huge animal like Kro, but she definitely was and she was proud of what she had turned him into through training and the potion she had given him to change his color. Originally a Forest Thundergug, he also still preferred to be solitary rather than in a herd. It was nice, she figured, it meant he had herded with her and nothing else at the moment, which was definitely nice when it all came down to it. She smiled, she loved the big lug.

The break lasted for a little while before she urged him back into the water, under the waterfall. It was the only way he was going to get better, and while he knew that, he grumbled all the same. Jack didn't hear any words, just mumbling as he plodded along into the pool and under the falling water, it was going about the same as it had when he had left before. Slowly she would turn it up a little, but not right now, he was already having enough at the moment, his legs were braced and everything, so she wasn't going to push him too much at the moment. As long as they could time it right, then things would be better. He knew he was getting better, that this was the only way he was going to get better, but it didn't make him like it any more than he absolutely had to. He tolerated it, that was about it, she figured as she chuckled and looked at him. Her eyes went down to the stopwatch and she smiled a little bit, he was doing great, just a little while longer and he could take a bit of a break. Here pretty soon she would break out the power water and he could have a nice long drink. Usually she would use grass flavored for him, but she didn't have any, so vegetable it was, she figured it would be a nice enough treat at this point anyway. Who knew what vegetables went into the water, but somehow she knew he might enjoy it. Maybe next time she would get grass flavor, it was only nice enough for her to do it that way of course, she knew he would prefer it, he didn't like fruits and vegetables as much as he probably should, but he was an herbivore and preferred grass. To each their own, she figured with a smile as she watched him under the waterfall, water pounding down upon him as he stood there, braced against the pressure that built on his back. It was the only way to do this, and while it wasn't very exciting to raise resistance, it was crucial when it came down to it she figured.
Kro knew he was getting better by doing this, but it didn't mean he had to enjoy it. In fact it was one of the least enjoyable training he'd had so far, and he knew there was more to come no matter what. He sighed a little and then grunted as he regained his footing a bit, he had slipped a little bit when he shifted in order to bear his weight a little bit better. It wasn't going to work well if he fell down, and he hoped he could leave soon and take a bit of a break. He wasn't one to quit though, so whenever the woman told him he could leave, that would be fine. Grunting a bit against the pressure that was building on his back, he realized this was different than when the woman rode him. The constant pounding on his back reminded him something kept moving, whereas she stayed put in the saddle when it all came down to it. He wouldn't quit though, he never had and he never would, that just wasn't the kind of beast he was. It was nice to see that kind of thing though, she figured with a smile on her face, she could feel the determination roll from him as he stood there, shifting every now and then so he wouldn't get knocked over by the rushing water. It wasn't even full blast or anything, so he had quite a ways to go before they were all done, he figured. She smiled at him and then let him out of the water so he could take a bit of a break, he had been in there about double the amount of time he had been in before, which is what she was aiming for at the moment. They would do about half strength by the end of the day and then call it quits, then come back tomorrow and do it the rest of the way, just in case.
Without a doubt, he was her favorite out of all of her animals, it was great, she figured with a smile on her face. Jack didn't know what else to do at the moment, but patted him on the side and told him how proud she was of him. It wasn't every animal who could train as much as he had, and she was sure things would work out in their favor as long as they completed their training. Jack smiled at him and leaned back in the chair she had dragged over to sit in. She didn't know what to expect from everything, but she knew it was going to be a good thing no matter what. Jack grinned, of course she had other things to do, but that could wait until she was done here, it wasn't like she didn't have plenty of time to deal with things later on of course. She just wished she could figure out what she was doing from now on, who would she train when Kro was done with his training? It just bothered her, she figured with a little sigh escaping as she thought of it. There wasn't much she could do about things right now, but she had to focus on Kro before she moved on to anything else at the moment. Get him done in the Gym and then work with Tobi some more, she might even bring him to the Gym sometime, though so would Andes. Smiling a little bit, she hoped they would be done in time for the tournament, but she didn't know what else to do if they weren't. She supposed they would just go out of the Gym and sign up early, it didn't matter, as long as they tried.

It was a testament of the faith he had in her that he did what she told him to do, even if it bothered him a little. It never bothered him enough to protest, those days were long behind him, but she had never done anything to him or had him do anything that didn't later benefit him in some way, shape, or form. That was the good thing about their bond, they trusted each other with their lives, and both Jack and Kro knew they would die for each other if the case may be. They could always get revived, that was the good thing, it had happened to both of them so far, she figured, and she smiled a little as she stretched out her shoulders before giving Kro one last pat on the side to move him toward the pool and the waterfall yet again. It was tedious work, this training, but it would benefit him in the long run. Already stronger than the other Thundergugs, she wondered what would happen if they met one that would be bigger than hers, though she didn't think it was possible at this point. Jack chuckled a little and watched him ponderously move into the little, shallow pool of water and under the waterfall, turning so he could see her. Her thumb hit the button on the timer and she watched as the seconds and minutes crept by. It was going to take quite a long time, she figured, but it would be worth it in the end. She smiled, she didn't know what to expect out of this tournament, but it was going to be good. If they could just make the points, then she would be happy, if they won, she would be even happier, but she didn't think that would happen at this point. There would be some fliers and some walkers, maybe a swimmer or two, and she briefly wondered if she needed to train Kro how to swim. There was that river that went through the Park that would help them out, but she shook her head, not right now, they really didn't have the time for it at the moment, which was a shame because it would be fun to watch the big Thundergug bob around in the water. He may have a fear of it though, they'd never really tested it out, and maybe that's why he was uneasy about the waterfall.
No matter what happened though, he trusted her and she trusted him, which meant more than anything else in the world, really. Jack smiled at him and he grunted back at her, feeling her pride in him made him happy though. She chuckled at him, wondering what he was going to do if she retracted that faith, but she knew she never would, it just didn't matter at the same time. Jack was pleased with his progress and figured soon they could take a longer break, just to let him catch his breath and drink his power water, it only made sense right? She sighed a bit, she just wished there was more she could do, usually she was actively working with the animal she was training, just not when it was for resistance. It was tough just sitting there and not doing anything for him other than telling him to go under the waterfall from time to time. It was frustrating and she didn't know what else to do though, she figured with a little smile on her face. Nothing would go wrong, this whole thing was fine, and she could chalk it up as a win even if they didn't win the tournament. There, that would make both of them feel better, she figured with a nod and a smile, as long as they tried their best, then things would work out well enough for both of them. Jack of course hoped he would win, but didn't know if that was going to be feasible or not depending on what else was entered in the tournament. Ah well, if they didn't win they would just train harder and try harder the next time, that was all there was to it.
If all they did was train, then what else did they have anyway? It didn't really matter, and while she knew she was rambling to herself, she still wished there was something she could do to help out her beloved Thundergug. It just didn't matter that she couldn't do anything, she really wanted to do something and didn't that matter to anyone? She sighed a little and leaned back in the chair, glancing down at the stopwatch and then smiling. "Come on out," she told him, waving him over, and the Thundergug breathed a short snort of relief as he lumbered out of the pool and shook himself dry of the water. It wasn't as quick as a dog, but it sure splattered all over the place. Jack hoped Alexis wouldn't mind if things got a little wet in this room, but she figured it was only natural, considering there was a pool of water in it and all. Giving a little sigh, she walked over to Kro and put a hand on his side, feeling him heave his breaths in and out. A frown crossed her face at that, and she shook her head, she didn't need him to wear himself out completely, she would give him a nice little break, maybe the power water, and then they could continue after all was said and done. She just hoped she wasn't pushing him too hard, it just wouldn't work out that way if she did that she figured, he wouldn't be good for the Pit if he couldn't fight. Too worn out from training, he would just sit from the sidelines and wish he could be in there, and she wasn't going to do that to him, not one bit at this point in time. She loved him too much for that.

Time for a nice long break, she figured with a little smile on her face. She found a bowl and poured the vegetable water into it and watched as Kro drank it up, making a small face at the taste of it. "I know, big guy, I'll get grass flavored next time, I promise," she told him with a wince. Hey, it would still work out though, she figured as she stroked his side while he drank. There wasn't a ton but it would help him out a little bit as he trained, she knew that much. Oh what would she train next in here after Kro was all finished with his training? She wanted him to resist more attacks, but then who would she bring next? Maybe Andes, the little guy needed some help sometimes she figured. Andes was a little halfbreed she was training for whenever the Labs hosted a petite tournament instead of a free-for-all tournament, and she thought he would do quite well, he just needed a little help aside from that. She smiled a little and patted Kro on the side again before laying down next to him. He flopped down and stretched out his neck a bit before shaking his head to rid himself of whatever cobwebs were in his mind. It would take him awhile to get back up, being so big, but that was alright, he could still do it. It wasn't like he would roll either and hurt the woman, and his tongue found her cheek for a brief moment before he laid his head down and closed his eyes. Naps were important to training as well, if you didn't rest you ended up hurting yourself, and neither of them wanted that, now did they? Jack smiled and closed her eyes as well, cuddled up to the Thundergug's front feet, she loved this guy and couldn't wait to see what he would do in the Pit, it had been quite some time since he had fought there after all. That was a tag-team match with Alaska, Ashe's huge Quicksilver Pliathor. They had won, of course, but had it been by default or had they actually fought some smaller animals? That was the part she didn't remember.
Resting was important, it did the body good and made sure you had enough energy to do what you needed to do. It was great and it caused a nice little break, a lull in the training so they could reflect on what had happened. You couldn't push yourself too hard when it all came down to it, and she smiled a little when she realized they had been there for awhile already. But the deep breathing of the Thundergug told her he was asleep, and she hated waking him up. Just a few more minutes... They seemed to drag by, but she was also looking at the stopwatch to see how much time had passed. Not much, but she needed to wake him up so he could get to training now, it only made sense right? Jack stood up and stretched before looking back at the giant Thundergug. More massive than the others, she couldn't wait to see what he would do in the Pit. It was going to be great, she just hoped he wouldn't kill anything, that would be the worst at this point. Even though he could take a hit, and this training would help with that, he would go down eventually if they chipped away at him a little at a time, and that's not what she wanted at all, he needed to be indestructible if he was going to win the tournament. Would they though? It would be the first time he won on his own, but it was fine as it was at the same time. Jack shook Kro's leg a little and got an eye cracked open moodily in return. She smiled at him and rubbed one of his horns, "Come on big guy, you need to get up and keep training." Kro grunted and pushed himself up to his feet before he shook off like a canine to get the cobwebs gone, wake himself up a little bit.
She pointed to the waterfall and he knew what to do, wandering over and standing underneath the running water as he faced her. It was going to be great, she knew he could do it, just keep it up she thought as she turned up the water a little bit again. Kro staggered for a brief moment before pushing up against the weight on his back. This wouldn't be bad for strength training too she thought, but that was for another day, another animal. The last training she could do with Kro in the Gym would be this kind of work, just for more help though with it. This had to help, it just had to, and she hoped that nothing would come of the training, or at least nothing bad would come of the training at this point in time. She knew they would have to leave for the night, but then out they would come again in the morning and hopefully be out by lunch. Already she was starting to get tired and hungry, she hoped she wasn't getting sick or anything, that would be the worst of it all, altogether. She smiled though, things would be fine, they were training and while she was near water and had been for awhile, at least she could still fight off a cold. She hoped. It seemed like she had a bit of a weaker immune system since her leg had regrown, but that could just be how things were here in the Labs and whatnot. Giving a little sigh, she shook her hand and then walked over next to the pool, feeling the cold water with the back of her hand. Too bad she couldn't warm it up, she thought with a sad look on her face, she didn't want him to suffer.

Of course, making him suffer was almost the point of the Pit wasn't it? She sighed a little and shook her head, wondering what she would do if he actually got hurt too much when it came time she figured with a little frown on her face. There was nothing the healers couldn't handle though, right? Well, they hadn't handled her leg well, but it had already tried to heal on it's own a bit before they got to her, she had always healed quickly and she had used a salve on it to speed up the process, anything was better than nothing, but she hadn't realized the salve would help the bones bond as well. Oh well, no need to dwell on that anymore, she had her new leg and everything was fine. Of course she still used her walking stick, but that was more out of familiarity than anything else at this point. Chuckling, she wished she could kick the habit, but that wasn't going to happen anytime soon it seemed. Jack shrugged, she didn't know what else to do about things, but until she figured it out this is what she was going to do for now. She stretched out as she watched Kro struggle a little under the waterfall, a little impressed that it wasn't even to half strength yet and the Thundergug was getting a run for his money. Grinning, she wished there was something else she could do about this, but this was fine she figured with a little nod. Everything would be fine and they would win the tournament, at least she hoped they would. If they didn't, it wasn't a big deal she figured as she watched Kro under the waterfall some more. It was almost time for him to take a little break, but not just yet she figured. There was still time on the stopwatch, and she was sure he could push himself a little further than he already was, she figured. It didn't make sense not to push him to the brink, she figured as she watched him, leaning against her walking stick for balance. She was typically very well balanced, but the new leg gave her some troubles every now and then, if only because she was so used to the old leg.
Jack was sure things would go well for the Thundergug as time went on, she just wished there was something else she could do for him at the moment. Sure the training would come in handy, but what else could she really do for him? It was a little ridiculous that she had to wait on the sidelines and yell out commands just in case something were to happen, and she wouldn't be there if he went down or anything. A sigh escaped her as she watched him, wondering what she was going to do about things for the moment. Jack really didn't know what to expect from things, and that was fine she figured with a little frown on her face. It wasn't like she wasn't doing anything at all, the training would definitely help in the upcoming tournament, but that didn't matter at the moment. She just wished she could be in there with him to help him fight, even if it meant her own death. It wasn't like she was a loner, she loved her animals and she loved her friends, but... Tilting her head, she sat down by the pool that Kro was in for a few moments as she watched him and tried to keep an eye on the time. He was getting tired, she could tell, but he had some more to go for the day, then they would be back tomorrow and things would be done already. It was going to be a good session, she knew it, and hopefully it would all be over soon, she really wanted to get home and all that. Taking care of so many animals was rewarding, but also irritating sometimes, and definitely a drain on her resources at the moment. It wasn't like she was hurting for credits, but still, it was difficult for now it seemed. Jack shook her head, not like she would get rid of many at this point though, some, but not many.
Kro snorted and brought her back to the present and she nodded, letting him out from under the waterfall. He trudged over to her and shook the water off of himself so that he could lounge next to her for a moment, sniffing around to see if there was anything to eat. The power water only went so far, she wished she would have brought some hay for him to eat while they took their little breaks from training right now. Oh well, maybe next time she would, he was no stranger to lugging around a cart with supplies on it, it was one of the reasons she always took him shopping with her, so she could load him up instead of having to juggle everything herself when it came down to it. He'd been there last time too, when she had hit up a bunch of stores in a single day to restock some of her supplies, or get new supplies altogether. Jack smiled and patted him on his nearest leg to show him how proud she was of him. His training was coming along rather well and she wondered if things would work out for him right now or not. A little while longer and they could check out and go home, but this was mostly an all day affair it seemed like, and she was starting to get hungry as well it seemed. Well, she wouldn't eat until he had eaten, it was only right, and it was exactly the kind of person she was it seemed. She cared more for her animals than she cared for herself, which was something you wanted in someone who took care of many, many animals in their life.

Kro got up on his own and lumbered over to the waterfall. He was nothing if not dedicated and determined to get this done, he was sure things would be better once he was trained properly, and even though he was only an animal, the woman knew he realized this was good for him to do in the long run. She smiled at him as he got under the waterfall and turned around to face her once more, at least he was used to this kind of thing, though she wished he could become more dexterous still. Ah well, things happened and didn't happen sometimes, it was all she could do to keep herself from cheering though. He knew things would be better for him in the long run with this, and he was smart enough to realize that. A lot of people thought Thundergug's were dumb because they were big, bulky, and heavy hitters, but they were intelligent enough, a lot like a Vulticus. Just because they were big and ponderous didn't mean they were dumb because of it or anything. She smiled at him and waved a little before turning up the water a tad so it would hit him that much harder. He was getting better at standing under the waterfall, and so she figured if she turned it up a bit then it would hopefully make this training go faster. She didn't know though, it could delay things. Maybe they wouldn't come back tomorrow, maybe they would come the next day or something. Giving a little shrug, the woman realized she really hadn't thought this much through just yet. That was alright, but she wasn't sure what to expect out of things right now. Jack just wanted to make sure the Thundergug had as good of a time as any when it came to the Pit. Whatever happened, things would be alright once the training was finished, she was just nervous about those who flew and all that, those would be harder to hit when it came time. Maybe they wouldn't be able to fly high enough for Kro to not be able to hit them, that would definitely be nice, though she was going to doubt that would be the case at the moment.
Nothing was going to happen if she didn't try to train him as best as she could, however, and Gym training was part of it no matter how she looked at it. She sighed a little and leaned back on her elbows, her feet dangling in the little pool in front of her. She'd taken off her shoes and socks and rolled up the legs of her pants a little bit so she could cool off. All she could do was hope that Kro wasn't going to get sick from the cold, that wouldn't do at all it seemed, she figured with a little sigh. That's all she needed, a sick Thundergug in the Pit. The first time he was healed it would most likely go away though, so she couldn't really argue against that at all. Jack pushed her hair back and eyed the stopwatch in her hand, a few more minutes and then he could take a break. The wraps around his legs were getting a little wet, but mainly the water just beaded off of them and didn't soak in or anything. She smiled a little, at least these things were decently made, Alexis probably assumed they would get dirty and wet and wanted some good stuff to handle it when it came time. It only made sense right? Jack shrugged a little and stretched out her shoulders, ready to be done with this day. It wasn't like she was doing the work, poor Kro was, but she knew it was only a matter of time before he wore himself out and then they would have to go home no matter what. Ah well, it wasn't the end of the world if they had to go home, she knew, and she hoped that things would work out still no matter what.
Jack let Kro out from under the waterfall a few minutes later, according to her stopwatch it was time anyway, or a little past it. Unsure of what she needed to do, she didn't want to do anything at the moment. Maybe all she had to do was wait a little bit, but where was the fun in that in the end of it all? Giving a little shrug, she laid back on the floor of the Gym as Kro stood next to her, upset she hadn't brought anything for him or her to eat while they were there. Well, she knew better for next time, and that was all that mattered at the moment right? Jack pushed her hair back again and closed her eyes, she knew Kro would continue training if she fell asleep, but that didn't make her feel good about herself at all. She didn't want him to do this all on his own or anything, that wouldn't do at all. Jack just wasn't sure what she could help with, she could cheer for him and encourage him, but that was about it she figured with a little frown on her face. Still though, a nap sounded good, and she thought about it for a little bit before shaking her head and opening her eyes again. It wasn't worth it for her to fall asleep, they would never leave because Kro would most likely fall asleep too and the Gym would probably close before they woke up. Jack didn't know about Kro, but she was getting hungry and wanted to leave for the night, not get stuck here like someone ridiculous. Ah well, whatever happened, would happen, and there wasn't much she could do about it at the moment. All she knew is that she was proud of her Thundergug for doing what he did from time to time. Training him was fun, she didn't want it to end really.

Jack knew the only way to get this done was to push forward, and it seemed like Kro understood that as well. The sooner they got this done, the sooner they could go home and eat, which was a big thing for both of them at this point. She smiled a little and shook her head, she knew the Thundergug enjoyed his training, even if he was stoic about it on the outside. Sometimes she could feel a little satisfaction come across their link, which made her happy in turn. She knew it was only a matter of time before they ran out of things to train, which might be why she hadn't trained him too much lately. It only made sense, she didn't want it to end and all that. Sighing a little, she looked at Kro as he stood under the waterfall and turned up the water just a bit again, watching as he struggled against it for a little bit before finding his good footing and settling in to his pattern. It was going to take some time to finish this up she knew, they both knew, but that was fine she figured for a little while, as long as they were actively trying, then it all worked out in the end. Eventually she would train something else as well as Kro, but that would be a ways off she figured with a little smile on her face. It was hard to imagine something else as well trained as Kro was, and while she could teach him cute little tricks, she didn't think that was going to happen if he had any say in it. He just wouldn't learn them, or he would learn them grudgingly and never do them again just to prove a point. A laugh escaped her, that was more Kro's style she figured. He would never say no to her, but he could pretend he didn't hear what she said, he'd done it before and he would do it again, she was sure of it. No matter what though, they deeply loved and cared for each other, it was almost symbiotic in a way with how they were connected. They relied on each other for many things, and it was great to see how they worked together to solve things.
Nothing was going to get in the way of his training, not if he had any say in it at least, and she knew it too. Kro was a determined Thundergug, he knew what he wanted and he was rather stubborn when it all came down to it. He snorted as he shifted under the waterfall, knowing it wasn't even to full strength yet, not even to halfway if the woman was to be believed. But what point would there be in lying to him anyway? He snorted again and shook his head, water flinging all over the room, making the woman laugh a little as she sat there soaking her feet in the cold, cold water. At least he wasn't aquatic, she had to give him that much, because while she didn't mind swimming, the water was still pretty cold at this point and she didn't want to freeze to death while training. Nublar needed training though, that much was certain, and she might end up bringing him to the Gym someday, it would be interesting at the very least. She smiled as she thought of how to train the giant halfbreed, bigger than even Kro was. Half Pliathor and half Nyssa, Nublar was a force to be reckoned with, and she wasn't sure who would win in a fight, him or Kro. Of course she would always root for Kro, but still, the fact that she had animals who could beat him scared her, it meant other people had animals who could beat him. She shivered a little, not from the cold, but from her nerves. She didn't think she could handle it if he lost to too many other animals. It was such a terrible thought that she shook her head and rubbed her temples a little bit, trying to get the thoughts out of her head. Jack didn't know what to do about it now, but she was doing her best.
As Kro stood there under the water, he wondered what the woman was thinking. She was good at blocking her thoughts from him, they were the first to share a Ribbon with each other when it came to her at least. Hmm, it couldn't be good if she was hiding it though, and he wished he could figure it out. Maybe she was worried he was going to get beaten in the Pit? A snort escaped him and he shook his head again, making her laugh a little bit. If he lost, he would be impressed, but he figured he might win with how big he was. He was the ultimate of how Jack's strategy worked, run in and beat things down until they submit. She wasn't very subtle when it came down to it, but maybe that would change as time went on, she had gotten better when it came to Sarane at least, which had to count for something along the way. Sarane were different though, and the Thundergug didn't know how to deal with them very well. Flying, it was unnatural, and a shiver ran down his back as he thought about being in the sky. He had no interest in any of that, though some animals seemed to live solely in the sky. Still, it wasn't for him and that's what mattered, him. He was her favorite and he knew it, but he also had a feeling this training was almost over. Just a little while longer and they could go home and eat, that was what was on his mind at the moment, and he made sure to trumpet his displeasure at the woman above the sound of the rushing waterfall. He needed to eat.

They were almost done, and then they could go home and eat, that was the biggest motivator to get this done at this point. Jack smiled at Kro as she let him take one last break for this training, she knew he was getting hungry, and he knew she was getting hungry as well. It was just a mess all around, and she wished she would have planned a little better whenever things had started up. Next time would be better, and the rumbling in their stomachs would be worth it this time though. It would all make sense in the end she knew, and soon enough they would both be able to eat. The main motivator was food at this point, and Jack knew there was only a little time left before it all was worth it in the end of it all. Grinning, she finally sent him back into the waterfall and watched as he slid a bit before regaining his balance. That was the worst, a massive Gug out of control in the water? Still, she wanted to teach him how to swim somehow in the future, maybe in the little river that went through the Park or something. It would be interesting to see at least, she figured with a little smile as she watched him struggle against the water coming down upon him. Things weren't difficult on purpose, well, maybe they were, and she was just trying to make sure he was the best he could be at this point. Jack smiled at him and calmed him down a bit as he grunted and groaned against the water pressure.
Kro was simply done at this point, he didn't feel the water as much as he did when they had first started, which he thought was the point of it all. Was he just numb or had he gotten better? Either way it was appreciated at this point, as he had started to get a little sore before the numbness came in. What was he going to do about things anyway, he didn't understand why this was, but he was getting better and better because of the woman, he was happy enough that she was the one who had picked him and not someone else. With someone else he might be rotting away in a Kennel in the edge of town, but with her he was trained in a lot of things, he was kept on a farm, he could graze whenever he wanted to, it was great. It was exactly the life an animal deserved, and here he was living it. Some animals they came across were jealous, others took pity on him, but he enjoyed the life and that was all that mattered at the moment. Jack smiled up at him and that's all he needed sometimes, her smile.
The woman stretched out a bit, then looked at the stopwatch and let him come back out of the water for the last time. She was excited to see that things were doing better for him, the rushing waterfall didn't bother him as much, just his footing was a little off because of the smooth bottom to the little pool. That was weird though, maybe she should talk to Alexis about that at some point, get some grips for animals like hers who weren't used to the water or something. Jack pushed her hair back and looked him over with a keener eye than she usually did. She loved the big Gug and wanted what was best for him, this, to her, was the best thing for him and that's all that mattered. She smiled at him and then leaned into him for a moment before nodding a little. They were done, or at least she hoped so, and they would check in with Alexis before they left just to make sure. She didn't want to have to come back the next day for just a little bit of training after all, that wouldn't make much sense to begin with or to end with. Now they just needed to get home and everything would be fine, she knew it would be, she had Kro with her.

She smiled a little, she could handle that though, he was sore enough as it was at the moment, she didn't want him too out of it so they could work a little today. She wanted to get the waterfall to full strength before they were done, and while he was still sore from the day before, she knew he could handle it. You only get better if you push yourself, or at least that's what she told herself and the Thundergug as they walked to the Gym. Riding on top of him was nice, she could get a good vantage point of the rest of the Labs as he was bigger than the average Thundergug of course, and it was fun to ride him as well, if only for the looks they got from people as they passed. It was fun, but what could you really do? She loved the big lug, and she knew things would be perfect if she got to them well enough at this point. Jack pushed her hair back as she signed them in, then led him back to the room they had been in the day before, the one with the little pool and the raging waterfall that cascaded down the fake rocks. Honestly neither of them could wait, this was the last time Kro would be in the Gym, and they wanted to make sure it was going to count well when it all came down to it. She chewed on her lip for a moment and then nodded. Today was the day and they would finish this up before it was done. At least she had hooked up the cart to him today and brought some hay and food for herself with them. He needed a nice long break in between all the training, it would do him some good, he had been starving when they got home the day before and she didn't want to do that to him again. Jack shrugged her shoulders a little and started to get things ready. She had brought the wraps for his legs again, some grass water she had bought as they left the day before, and the stopwatch again, just in case she needed to use it to time him. Kro was ready for today to be over already, though he knew it was just because training this was a lot harder than training anything on the outside. Everything out there was honestly so much easier, this was actually changing his body, not just his mindset, which was a little worrisome when it all came down to it. He looked over at the woman with a brief fondness, however, he loved her and would do what she asked as long as it didn't cause him to die outright. Now that would just be dumb, but she knew that there were some animals out there who would do that kind of thing. He didn't understand why, no one was worth killing yourself over just because, but he would defend her, and if he died defending her, then so be it, he figured. Now he just had to figure out how to get all this done for a moment, he really didn't want to get back under the waterfall, but it was the only way to do it if he didn't want to get hit by a bunch of hard stuff, he figured with a grimace. She had told him they had a friendly rival named Renathan, he thought that was the name at least, and he wanted to beat the Equillion that was going to be entered, just because he could he figured. But that would have to wait until they were at the Pit, and he would do his best not to outright kill the beast, that would be poor sportsmanship and all that rot. Jack tried explaining it to him every now and then, but sometimes he just wanted to step on something until it squished. He wouldn't do it to any of her animals, but anything else was fair game until he'd done it one day on accident and he'd gotten chewed out pretty badly. Never again, though the thought was still there from time to time. What would happen if he lost, anyway? It wasn't like he was planning on it or anything, but what was going to happen if they did? Hmm, more training, most likely, and maybe one of those gems, but he didn't know what else to do about it at the moment. Those gems felt like cheating to him, but knew he would probably have to wear one in the Pit if he was going to do well enough. He was already the most dexterous Thundergug in the Labs, and would be no matter what since they changed the rules in the Gym, but that didn't matter at the moment, other animals did more than he did he felt. Even the little birds he could swat out of the air with a snort could outmaneuver him sometimes, though he didn't quite understand why. Snorting, he stamped a foot impatiently as the woman tried to get everything together, to which she turned and raised an eyebrow at him a little bit. He gave her a bit of a sheepish look, but he just wanted to get this over with so they could go home and rest awhile before the beginning of the tournament. It wouldn't do for him to be too tired before it started, or else he would start to make mistakes and all that. He didn't know what else to do about things, but that didn't matter right now, he just had to wait for her to be done gathering everything. Jack was quick however, she just wanted to make sure the wraps were alright before putting them on Kro, she wanted the full use from them after all. Jack: 1/10 Kro: 126 1/5; 188 1/5

The Thundergug was getting anxious, knowing he should be training at the moment but the woman was taking her sweet time looking everything over. One wrap was finally ready, and she layered it around one of his front legs to make sure it was nice and secure, and wouldn't slip or anything during it's time in the water. Kro snorted and stamped his foot when she was finished, getting a raised eyebrow in return. She knew he was wanting to get this over with, but he couldn't be all that impatient about it or it would just make things go that much slower. Sighing a little bit, she didn't know what to do other than keep doing what she was doing at the moment, and that was looking over their equipment. She wished there was more than this to do resistance training with, but of course there wasn't. Oh well, they would make do with this, they always made do with what they could after all. Heaving another sigh, she moved around again to the cart Kro had pulled in with their food and things on it to check out the other three wraps. It was tedious work, of course, but doing it meant things would go better for them in the long run after all, and she sighed a little as she worked on things, trying to see if there were any cracks or holes in the wraps that she could find. Of course if she did find some she would have to go and exchange them or buy new ones just in case, but she really didn't know what to do at the moment. This was the boring part of training, equipment management, but it had to be done if things were going to be done correctly.
As she checked the wraps, her mind wandered to breeding for the millionth time since the Breeding Center had opened back up. What was going to happen to all those Orbaru anyway? She shook her head a little, she really didn't know what to think about things, but that was fine she thought for a moment. What mattered is they were getting cared for by professionals, though she hadn't seen her cute little Orbaru in quite some time at this point. Jack frowned a little, she really wasn't sure what to do about things right now, but that was alright when she thought about it. Jack pushed her hair back and thought of her Pachee breeding, she had recently gotten a pair of albino kits, a male and a female, and she could always breed them if she needed a few credits. They were being bought by Turner in Nature's Bounty, but of course she would keep a couple of them for her own supply, just in case. Everything would work out though, she knew that she could care for all the Pachee she had, even if she kept breeding them quite a bit it seemed. Jack chuckled a little, she wished she wasn't so addicted to breeding her animals, but unfortunately that was who she was, Pachee, Orbaru, and Lotine, though it had been quite some time since she had bred a Lotine. Hmm, maybe that's what she was going to need to do next, but she really didn't know if she had the energy to do it today. It wasn't as though it was annoying, just a little time consuming and then she would have a Lola she could turn into a Lotine eventually. It was a good thought, and the woman was sure things would work out for them no matter what. Chewing on her lip, she thought about it, she didn't think there were Lotine breeding restrictions yet, but that might change if she started breeding in high volumes like she used to do. Oh well, it didn't really matter when it all came down to it, she could handle a restriction, she handled it well enough any other time didn't she?
Kro wasn't sure what was going on, but he knew the woman was lost in thought. He wasn't one to pry with their link, so he didn't, but he tested out the water for a moment before getting called back by the woman. Grudgingly he turned and walked back over to her, getting a pat on the nose for doing what she asked, and then he turned his attention to the hay on the cart. It wouldn't hurt if he ate a little bit, he figured as the tough Thundergug padded over to the cart and munched on a bit of hay. It wasn't like it wasn't for him, though he didn't understand why it was here in the first place. Sure, he'd gotten hungry last time, but he was always hungry and it wouldn't hurt him to not eat for a little while. The woman just didn't seem to understand that. He wasn't fat by any means, he was rather lean for a Thundergug thanks to all of the training they had done over the years, and she was the reason behind it all. Kro shuddered to think what would have happened to him had someone else come along and adopted him, though they had found each other when he was a juvenile, a long, long time ago. It seemed like forever ago, but then he had grown up to an adult and there he had stayed, especially after she had customized him a bit to look like he did now. It only made sense for him to be proud of himself though, he figured as he munched on a bit of hay, the woman still inspecting the wraps. he just hoped all of this training wasn't going to be in vain. That would be the worst of it, doing all of this work for absolutely nothing in return. Sure he would get better at things, but the Pit is where he truly seemed to thrive. He hoped that things would work out no matter what happened.

Jack sighed a bit and shook her head, she hated going over all of this stuff whenever it was time to do Gym training, but there was no other option she had at the moment. Ah well, at least it meant that things would be working correctly, she wouldn’t have to worry about things again during this session at least, which was rather helpful when it all came down to it. She still sighed though, it was a pain, but she had to do it, she wanted Kro to be successful, and that meant good working equipment. What would she do if Kro got hurt during training anyway? She could always take him to the Healer’s Temple, but that meant finding something to pull him and none of her other animals were trained to pull a cart just yet, let alone a cart with a beast as massive as Kro was. Frowning, she wondered if the healer’s would come to her in that case, and hoped that it was the way they would handle it no matter what happened. She still frowned, however, she didn’t know what to do when it all came down to it, but she shrugged, it didn’t matter, really, because he just wasn’t going to get hurt and that was all there was to it. If she looked over the stuff she used to train him, then he wouldn’t get hurt, and so that’s why she did it. Sure he hated waiting, but that was alright, because he would get to it soon enough and then they would be gone for the rest of his life, he couldn’t train any more in the Gym after this, Alexis wouldn’t allow him to, which was fine for her and him both, it was annoying getting this training done, and she didn’t think she could handle training him more in the Gym. It wasn’t terrible, it was just tedious, and she hoped that things would work better in the future whenever she could figure out a little more things to do in the future with other animals. The fact that she wanted to bring Andes here was insane enough as it was…
The beast in question stamped his foot and snorted loudly to get her attention, and she chuckled a little at him. He was impatient, even though most people wouldn’t get that about him from looking at him. He looked like the kind of animal who was all patience and nothing else, but that was far from the truth. He was impatient and grumpy a lot of the time, though he felt nothing but love and maybe a little annoyance for the woman. Jack chuckled at him as he stamped his foot and let him know it would be just a bit longer for her to look everything over before it was time to start training. She still had two more wraps to go, and he could drink his water before the training, she figured this time. Honestly she didn’t see it taking too terribly much longer to get this training done, but that was alright she supposed. It didn’t matter what was going to happen, except that it was going to happen, and she hoped it would go well no matter what. Jack pushed her hair back and then wrapped the wrap around the Thundergug’s other front leg, making sure to stack it on top of each other so the whole leg was protected. He just needed the ones on his back legs now, and then they could begin. Of course he was tired of this already and just wanted it to be done, but that didn’t matter to her right now, she wanted to make sure he would be safe during training, that was the most important thing to her when it came to training one of her animals.
Giving him a thumbs up, she turned back to the other two wraps to inspect them and left him to his own devices. Out of the corner of her eye she saw him wade into the little pool and stand under the waterfall. She slowly reached out and upped the water output a little bit, just to get him started she figured with a little smile on her face. He was ready to go, and having two wraps off wouldn’t do much she thought, so that was good. He was nice and sturdy anyway, so that was going to work out well when it came down to it. Jack chuckled a little when she felt a small amount of surprise over their link, and then he snorted and stamped in the water. Apparently he thought he was being sneaky, but when you’re that bit, it’s near impossible to not be seen. He tried it every now and then, but apparently he never really learned that it was hard for him to not be seen, especially when every step he took shook the floor. He was a big guy, it was hard to miss him, and she wondered what would happen if he really did win the tournament like she hoped he would. It would all make sense after awhile she figured, but for now she was going to focus on his training and hope that things would all work out in the end of it all. Jack pushed her hair back as she tried to focus on the two wraps in front of her and then frowned a little bit. What was she going to do when all of her goals were met? Could all of her goals be met anyway? It just didn’t make sense, but there it was no matter what, she figured with a little sigh. Nothing bad was going to happen, but she just didn’t want to be bored of everything if she met her goals in the Labs. That was something she was really bothered by, and she hoped she would never reach all of her goals, at least then she wouldn’t be bored, she figured with a little smile on her face.

With Kro being as impatient as he was, she was sure to know that she needed to go over the other two wraps pretty quickly. Luckily for her it didn’t really take a long time, it just felt like it did since she had to go over them quite a bit now. Jack shrugged her shoulders back a bit to stretch them out and then looked over one of the last two wraps that were going to go around the Thundergug’s back legs. He needed all the help he could get, she figured as she glanced over at him struggling under the weight of the water from the waterfall, and she was sure to make sure she could do that for him no matter what happened. Jack pushed her hair back and then continued to look over the wrap in her hands, she didn’t want to have to toss it out or exchange it just yet, it hadn’t gotten that much work done with it had it? But if she had to, then she would, but that was just about it for the moment wasn’t it? Frowning, she thought she spotted a hole in the cloth of the wrap and whistled for Kro to come back to her, she didn’t want him under the waterfall while she was gone to the front of the Gym to talk to Alexis to see what could be done about the hole. She didn’t know if she would need to trade it out or buy a whole new set, but either way it would take a minute and she didn’t want him training without her, it just wouldn’t work out that way she figured with a little sigh. If only he could train himself, it was such a solution that she hated she couldn’t use, but oh well, he was an animal so of course he couldn’t train himself, it just wouldn’t make sense for it at the moment she thought with a grimace. Now she just needed to talk to Alexis about this wrap and then she just had one more wrap to go.
As he lumbered up to the woman and nosed the back of her head a bit, she gave him a smile and explained what she needed to do with the wrap. He bobbed his head for a moment and then laid down, making her chuckle a little before she went out to talk with the mammalian who ran the Gym. Kro was already tired, but he knew there was a lot more work to be done at this point. He didn’t know what else to do about things really, but he did know that he wanted this to be over and done with right now. As long as he had training to do, he was happy, but this training was just a pain. Sure, it helped him out in the long run, but was it really worth it in the end? He snorted a little and closed his eyes, resting a bit before the training really began. Things would work out for him, they always seemed to at least, and he just hoped that things would work out for him as best as they could no matter what. Of course he had the woman with him and that helped out quite a bit as well he figured. She always knew what to do about things, which was nice, and if she didn’t know it off the top of her head, then she would try to find the answer somewhere else, or from someone else. It was nice, and he appreciated it no matter what, if he was confused by something then she explained it as best as she could, and he knew it meant a lot to her that he was trying at the same time. They worked well together, that’s all he could really say about it right now honestly.
Jack took the wrap up to the counter and pointed out the issue with it. Alexis nodded a moment and then exchanged it for her, usually they didn’t have holes in them this early, it must have been a defective unit, so Jack was pretty glad she found it when she did and didn’t just put it on Kro and hope for the best like he was hoping she would do. It would all work out in the end, but still, she would rather he be safe than sorry, especially since he was her favorite of all time it seemed like. She grinned as she walked back to him, into the room with the waterfall and where he was evidently asleep at the moment. Jack really didn’t want to wake him up, so she curled up next to him and fell asleep for a little while, dreaming of training and tournaments, the same as he was at the moment. It was good to sleep together sometimes she thought, sometimes she would sleep out in the barn with him if it got too rough for her, he was a rock in the storm, and anchor for her, and she didn’t want anything bad to happen to him, though he was still going to fight quite a bit it seemed. She had no problems with that, the healers would patch him up if and when he got hit or something (she didn’t want to think about what that something might be) and off he would go again on another grand adventure in the Pit. Jack chuckled to herself in her sleep, wondering how he would manage if she never entered him in to fight again, but that wouldn’t happen, she would always use him when she could it seemed. At least at the moment that was the plan, but she didn’t know what the future would hold, no one did she figured with a little nod of her head as she slept. It was going to be great she figured with a little smile on her face, sleepy though it was at the moment.
