The Jabberwok wasn't too thrilled about being brushed by her it seemed, but she didn't blame it at all. She was the one who'd brought it here, and she was the one trying to do right by it, but it wasn't going to realize that or anything at all it seemed. She sighed a little, brushed the cat as good as she could, and then let it back into the kennel with some food and water in its bowls. Jack chewed her lip a little bit and didn't know what else to do at the moment, this was going to be tough she thought, but that was fine when it was all said and done she thought. Jack looked around a little and smiled at Tobi, who had somehow managed to keep a distance from the Estharne, surprisingly. He was a curious little bird, so she was amazed he was still in one piece.

A Taro Estharne was next, and it simply stretched out and laid down, eyes on Tobi the whole time while she figured out how to clean up its kennel. She sighed a little, this one had shredded everything in there it seemed, not touching the toy it had at the time. Oh well, whatever worked, she figured with a frown on her face as she started to clean. Tobi still flew around above the Estharne, but that was alright she thought, as long as he didn't land anywhere, and his stamina had indeed increased, he could be in the air a lot more than he had been before all that training in the Gym. Jack was pleased with his progress, though he needed to be worked with a lot more if he was going to do anything the right way. As long as he could handle the fights he would be in, all would be well.

It didn't really seem to care about the woman, just the bird who was flying overhead. Jack smiled at it and then waved at Tobi for a moment before going back to what she was doing, cleaning out the kennel. She was tired, it might be time for a break soon enough, but she didn't want to stop until she had a good spot to stop at. Maybe when she was done with this row she would go for it, but she didn't know what to do about it until then. Sooner or later she and Tobi were going to have to eat she thought, and she smiled a little as she worked at it a little bit. Jack wasn't sure what to do about that just yet, but at least Matthew had given them some seeds and things for the bird. Tobi wasn't sure about it either, but at least he had food where she didn't.

The Taro was a little more accepting of the brushing than the Jabberwok had been it seemed, and that was great by her so far. She brushed and brushed and got almost a brand new Estharne out of it from all the fur she had gotten off of it. That was... gross, but whatever, she figured as she bagged it up and tossed the trash outside in the dumpster. That was the second bag so far she thought, though some of the bigger kennels had gotten their own it seemed. So really the third, the Murp had gotten its own bag but other than that she'd managed to keep them together. It didn't both her, she was happy to help in any way that she could, but she had a feeling she wasn't going to get through all of the animals today. That was fine though, she was sure any help counted.

Jack was just happy the bird was getting some experience out in the world with different animals. She was pleased with his progress, but he still needed to learn a few things she thought. Maybe once they were done here they would go training, if they had time, but she wasn't sure they would have time. Oh well, they could do it tomorrow she thought. The Gym was needed as well, but that might wait a few days she thought. Jack smiled, he would be a strong little bird she thought, but she wasn't going to make him a familiar. No, that was reserved for something else, a messenger couldn't be a familiar anyway she thought. They couldn't be that far away from each other, and Tobi was mainly a messenger, anything he learned was to help him out if he got caught in the air or something. That was the main point, she thought as she put the Taro back into its kennel.

A Blizzard Izer was next, Tobi seemed to enjoy Izers and she was sure he wouldn't mind having one as a mate. But for now they would wait on that she figured with a little smile on her face. She took the bird out, knowing it couldn't fly, and set it on one of the perches in the room, right next to Tobi where he fluttered down from his previous perch, and got to work cleaning out the kennel. It was an interesting way to pass the time at least she thought, and it wasn't like she was coming out empty handed and all that. Matthew gave some things to people who volunteered, and she had to admit that was partially why she was doing this. Jack pushed her hair back and straightened her gloves a little, wondering when this was going to end. Nowhere near soon enough though she thought with a sigh.

Jack just didn't know what to do with herself if she wasn't busy, and it wasn't like she didn't have plenty to do at the same time she thought. She sighed a little and shook her head, wondering what to do with things at the time, but it wasn't like she could handle more than she was hoping for at the same time. Little Tobi trilled alongside the Izer, singing together seemed like it was fun for him, and it made her smile, so she let him continue without any trouble, and she wondered what was going to happen to the two of them at the moment, her and Tobi. He yearned for... something, but he didn't know what it was he wanted, though Jack was pretty sure he wanted a mate. It was hard enough to do this on his own, he needed someone to go home to at the moment.

At least he was a hard worker, she had to give him that much she figured as she finished cleaning out the kennel for the Izer. Not many little animals could do what he did and live to tell the tale she figured. That was fine for her, she thought as she looked over at him, but she needed to make sure he had something to go home to when all was said and done. Sure they were bonded, but not like that, and she didn't know what else to think of at the moment. Well, she would look into it she thought for a moment, but she didn't know what else to do right now. Still smiling at him, she took the Izer and put it back into the kennel, watching as it trilled happily at the cleanliness and the new food. At least they were made happy pretty easily, and it seemed happy to see her again too.

She figured they would be done after a little bit, call it a day and then come back tomorrow or something, that would work out well for the two of them she figured, with a smile at the little Jibiji she had brought with her. She was sure things would work out no matter what and all that. Jack wasn't sure what was going to happen if they left for the night, but they had gotten a little bit of stuff done is all that mattered, they would be back tomorrow and everything would be fine! She smiled at Tobi for a little bit as they looked around the room, at least some of the animals had clean kennels now, that was important, and she hoped that would make them a little bit better in the long run, hopefully it would get them adopted sooner rather than later as well.

Jack shrugged her shoulders to stretch them out and then called Tobi over to land on her shoulder. He did so and they headed to leave out of the APAA for the day. Jack glanced behind them for a moment at all of the animals, some of which she had placed there under their care. Sighing a little, she wished things would have worked out differently, but there was nothing else for them to consider for a moment. She shook her head, wondering what was going to happen to them, hopefully they would be adopted soon. A couple of them had been adopted while she worked, which was really nice, but other than that, she didn't know what to expect from things. At least she had a plan on how to do her work, which was nice no matter what, and she wished that she could just do more for them.

Maybe it was good they'd taken a break for awhile she figured with a little smile on her face as she tried to figure out what was going on for the moment. She grinned a little and shook her head, Tobi on her shoulder. They were back at the APAA and things were going to go right no matter what was going on, and she needed to earn some more points for awhile now it seemed. She really wanted to get the rest of the things they gave away to volunteers, but she would have to wait on that for awhile since she still needed to work a little more and all that. Jack pushed a hand through her hair and smiled a little as she walked into the APAA with Tobi, wondering what to start first and all that. Might as well get some work in and start where she left off, right?

Jack surveyed the back room, hands on her hips for a little bit as the animals all called to her. She could understand some, not so much the others, but it was nice for now she figured with a little smile. Tobi trilled to her and settled down on the top of the carrier they had stopped at last time, a Drought Izer. It was one she had given away, and she tried her best not to worry about it too much as she took the bird out of the kennel and put it onto a nearby stand. It was going to be worth it working with these animals she figured with a little smile on her face, though she didn't know what to do with things as of right now and all that. Jack chuckled a little at Tobi as he flew around her head for a little while.

There was nothing much to do with this kennel, they'd been recently cleaned it seemed, but that didn't mean she didn't need to clean it out again, of course the Izer was messy and all that she figured with a little smile on her face. Tobi didn't seem to perturbed by the whole thing, but it was hard to upset him when it came to other animals. He was only a little jealous, after all. After rubbing her hands together a little, she put on some gloves and started to clean out the kennel, wondering what everything was going to be like in the end of it all. Sure she had an idea that she would get everything they had to offer at this point, but she didn't really see the appeal of it at the moment. Jack pushed her hair back before tackling the kennel again and wondered what she should be doing.

Without a doubt, it stunk, but that was fine she thought as she cleaned it out and put fresh papers down on the bottom of the kennel. She stepped back to view her work with a nod, that would work well she thought with a smile and she put the Izer back into the kennel and whistled for Tobi to settle down on her shoulder for a moment. She wouldn't get rid of the little bird, they were too attached to each other for the moment, which was perfectly fine when it was all said and done. Jack smiled a little and shook her head, she didn't know what to do with things at the moment, which was alright for her she supposed. Giving a sigh, she went to the next kennel and peered inside of it, a Flashfire Izer staring right back at her for the moment. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

Maybe it would be fine, but she remembered this one from the Kennel. It was rough and tumble, tried to do it's best to mess her up a little, which wouldn't work. Still, she had to do it, and she grabbed it and set it onto a perch as she stared at it. It glowered back at her and she simply gave a little sigh, she didn't feel like doing much today, but that was fine, she would get it done if it killed her, which it might at this point she figured with a little chuckle. Jack went to work on the kennel as Tobi flew around the ceiling again, the Izer staring at him with fury in it's eyes. It didn't know how to fly, not yet at least, and she hoped someone would adopt it that would teach it to fly eventually she figured. It would be nice at least.
