“And hello to you as well. You’re very good at hiding, did you know that?” Fanged turned to address the second creature as well. The fae creature didn’t seem alarmed, but it didn’t make any audible vocalizations. The Lerrel hopped down from the shelf it had been perched on, wanting to investigate the new people in its vicinity. Clover lowered her head to greet the little critter when it scrambled back down to the ground. The Lerrel was quite friendly and responded by patting the Gallor on her nose.
While Clover distracted the Lerrel, Fanged took the opportunity to interact with the native mansion critter. She didn’t know what its species was, but it seemed quite intelligent. Maybe not enough to fully grasp human speech, but it seemed to read body language pretty well. She took a step forward, holding her hands out in a non-threatening gesture. The creature flinched briefly, but curiosity caused it to remain in place.

“Do you live in this room? You have a very lovely home,” Fanged murmured softly to the winged creature.
The winged creature tilted its head, considered her words. It picked up one of the bottled ships and handed it to her, gesturing that it was important. Fanged accepted it eagerly and held it up closer to her face in order to examine it.
“Clearly there is more to this ship, isn’t there?” Fanged addressed the creature who nodded in response.
While she was busy trying to work out how to solve the newly presented puzzle, Clover continued to entertain the Lerrel. The small creature clung to her mane and clambered up onto her neck. The Gallor was surprisingly calm with this new development. Fanged hadn’t expected her to have that kind of patience, but she supposed the Gallor might have a nurturing side to her. When Fanged placed the bottle in the correct position, an audible click echoed through the room.

More than a few others made their presence known; a gentle 'swoosh' as a red, feather bird glided a short distance after clambouring up a pile of items, while the gentle rustle of soft footsteps gave away the position of a nearby Enileaf- this space was certainly getting very busy, very quickly..!

The wild creature looked pleased when Fanged appeared to follow its instructions. When Fanged had correctly placed the bottle, it kicked a network of gears into motion. The wall with the shelves began to move downwards, disappearing into an opening that appeared within the floor. The strange creature fluttered over towards the new opening and peered through it curiously.
“Guess we might as well check it out,” Fanged told the other creatures in the room.
The Lerrel clung to Clover’s mane as the Gallor walked over to join Fanged. The wild creature also followed as the woman took a step closer to the new opening. Darkness greeted her vision as she entered through the gap. The wild creature was eager to explore alongside the newly formed exploration team. The Lerrel was along for the ride as well, not budging from its spot in Clover’s mane. The four of them entered through the opening.

Just when Fanged thought the room she was entering was going to be mundane, a bright explosion of confetti sounded directly in her face. Fanged immediately spluttered and coughed as pink smoke filled the room. An assortment of eggs lay around the room and she realized that one of these had accidentally been kicked open and resulted in the small explosion. The Lerrel chattered happily as it observed the floating confetti. The wild creature looked like it was used to the mansion’s antics and Clover snorted in distaste.
“Well I guess we might as well look and see what the other eggs have.”
The wild creature was eager to help her look. Clover was not impressed and decided to walk around the length of the room, trying to find somewhere safer to shelter. The Lerrel continued to watch from its perch, excited to see what would happen next. The wild creature and Fanged were beginning to build a rapport as they teamed up to break open some eggs.

March Fanged had finished her February mansion trip with an abundance of creatures. She had taken them back to her kennels where they could all get settled in. Then she had taken a break from the mansion before returning with her Malii, Ingrid. The Malii had been a baby the last time she had been here. Now she had aged into her juvenile stage and with that, she had access to a lot more skills. A journey back to the mansion would be just what she needed to stave off some of the boredom she had experienced back at the kennel. They approached the front steps of the mansion and Fanged was a bit unnerved with how normal the building looked. Ingrid eagerly bounded up the front steps, her many tails waving back and forth in excitement. Fanged followed close behind, a bit wary at what the mansion was going to throw at them. The door opened as soon as they were within sight of it. Fanged automatically took a step back out of caution. Ingrid was not at all hesitant and charged through the open door with glee. Fanged followed behind, though she kept an eye out for anything that might prove to be suspicious. The room the entered was very quiet and the only sound was the occasional click of claws on the hardwood floors as Ingrid walked around. The room itself was quite spacious. The walls were painted a soothing, light purple and they were aligned with a variety of wooden shelves. Each shelf held various jars, vials, or other containers filled with different coloured liquids. There was also a large table with several chairs around it. A small fire burned in the fireplace. This was clearly modeled as a living room. Ingrid approached the fireplace with a bright gleam in her eyes.

Her tails waved back and forth in anticipation. She watched as though expecting an ember to leap free from the wood and light the entire room on fire. Fanged shuddered at the thought. While the Malii sat enraptured with the fire, Fanged took the opportunity to explore the rest of the room. She had never seen anything like this before. It was a combination of the children’s playground and kitschy décor. The room was not quite to her taste, though that was partly due to the presence of children’s toys and brightly coloured eggs. The whole room appeared rather chaotic. She approached the shelves, squinting as she tried to figure out what sorts of liquids were trapped inside the various containers. The presence of them seemed rather out of place with this month’s theming.
“This looks rather ominous doesn’t it,” she murmured out loud to Ingrid. The Malii raised her head briefly.

Ingrid tore herself away from her spot by the fire. It had yet to do anything truly interesting so she might as well help Fanged with exploring. There wasn’t all that much to be found in this room. Fanged set out to find the exit. She eventually located it in the corner. It was a simple door that led into a room that replicated the outside garden. She quickly exited the room and waited for Ingrid. She was standing near the entrance, staring out into the next room. It didn’t take the Malii long to muster up the nerve to enter the new room. However, she soon reconsidered and retreated back to the old room. Fanged had to chuckle at the sight. Ingrid was practically bouncing in place as she explored. She headed towards the wall of shelves that held the containers. She reached out a paw and touched one of the jars, her face lighting up with delight.

Fanged thought she ought to stop Ingrid from touching the strange containers, but decided she wouldn’t interfere unless one of them broke. When the Malii grew bored, she darted into the room that mimicked the outside world. Fanged followed and shut the door behind them, a bit glad to be away from whatever it was that had been on the shelves.
The garden room was actually quite nice. There were several picnic tables spread out across a lawn of fake grass, along with some benches and a small play area for lab creatures. There were several large trees that had been planted here, which shaded the room from the bright ceiling light above. Ingrid trotted over towards one of the picnic tables and jumped on top of it. She used her newfound height to scout out the rest of the room. There were more eggs located around here. Fanged wondered if she should investigate them.

Ingrid jumped down from the table once she had gotten a clear idea of the layout of the room. She joined Fanged over by a cluster of plastic eggs and looked up at the woman expectantly. The woman leaned down and picked one up, intending to open it. The plastic was easy enough to pry apart. She startled briefly when pink smoke began pouring out of the thing. When the smoke began to grow too much, Fanged dropped the egg onto the ground, spilling its contents. Inside the plastic egg was an assortment of small, golden coins. She presumed they weren’t made of real gold since that would be quite a waste to put into plastic eggs. Ingrid immediately crouched down into a hunting position before darting forward to pounce on top of one of the coins. It skidded underneath her paws and rolled across the grass underfoot, stopping when it hit a wall.

Fanged leaned down and picked up a coin, holding it up to the light in order to examine it in closer detail. The coin was more obviously made out of some type of cheap metal and simply painted to mimic gold. She tossed it back onto the ground. There wasn’t much use in taking it with. Ingrid looked up from where she had recaptured the coin and realized that Fanged was getting ready to leave this room. She abandoned the coin in favor of rejoining the woman and they both headed towards one of the doors they hadn’t been through yet. The two companions entered the third room. Fanged was not entirely sure what to make of the room. It seemed like a normal kitchen, but there was something about it that bothered her. Ingrid seemed a bit on edge as well, but she was curious enough to explore and figure out what was odd.

She wandered around the room, examining everything. She sniffed at some of the pots and pans hanging from the walls. She poked her head into the fridge, then ran off to check out another room. Fanged was quite impressed that Ingrid had managed to pop the fridge open in the first place, but she supposed the Malii was quite resourceful. After a few minutes of wandering around the room, Ingrid finally found something odd. She stood in front of a large cabinet and pointed out a small jar filled with a brown liquid. Fanged stepped over and retrieved it, lifting the lid and wafting out the fumes from within. A putrid odor filled the room and Fanged was quick to recap the jar and place it back in the cabinet. Whatever it contained did not seem useful for their endeavors.
“I wonder what else there is to find here,” Fanged murmured.
