You knew your garden was around here somewhere... I mean.. you were just standing in it, right? Where did this snow come from, anyway? One minute you could see, and the next the world was curtained in white... and now? Now your garden is covered in a few feet of snow! Brilliant, just brilliant...

As the pair quietly ate, snow started falling from above. Fiera thought it was quite pretty, and marveled at it as she chewed. As fat flakes started falling on Desiree though, the haraichu dragged her food closer to Fiera, using the humanish's comparable bulk to shield her from the snow. That made sense, of course- being so much smaller than Fiera, Desiree got a lot colder a lot easier than she did. A few snowflakes weren't going to hurt Fiera, but they'd probably bother Desiree immensely. Fiera propped her elbow out, letting the haraichu nuzzle in underneath it to get out of the elements. Still, it was nice to look at. "Pretty, isn't it Desiree?" She said idly. "Yeah... but cold!" She said, giving an emphasized shiver. Fiera chuckled- couldn't blame her there. "Well, snuggle up. I'm sure it'll stop soon." She said, gazing up at the grey cloud cover.

The snow was gentle right now, soft flakes floating downward like feathers from some vast, unseen bird. Or dandruff. Fiera scrunched up her nose at that thought- snow got a lot less pleasant when you thought about it like that. Still, there was a sense of vague entertainment to it, like the sort of zen entrancement one would get from gazing into a fish tank. Even Desiree got into it, and Fiera could hear the rate of her chewing slow as she too was entranced by the snow. Even as Fiera started in on her last sandwich, the pair of them were watching the flurry in comfortable silence. Soon, the pace of the snow picked up as opposed to fading away, and the patterns the snow made as they were pushed by the wind were even more beautiful than before. The flakes flew along the ground in whorls and eddies, dancing before their eyes.

Soon, the two had finished their meals and watched the flurry in comfortable silence. The cold quickly became unbearable for Desiree however, and she burrowed her little head into the side of Fiera's coat. The humanish swept her tail around the young haraichu to provide her with extra warmth and tried very hard not to think about how sticky her berry covered face was making her jacket. She was planning on waiting until the snow stopped again before getting back to gardening, but it showed no signs of doing so quite yet. So they waited a little while longer, gazing at the snow, but there was only so much entertainment it could give. She peered up at the sky, where the clouds were only growing thicker and darker. Perhaps it wasn't going to stop after all? That wasn't what the weather channel said when Fiera woke up this morning, but those guys were wrong all the time.

The snow kept coming down, heavier and faster. Fiera tutted angrily at it. Well, they weren't going to get much gardening done like this. She could already see the drifts of white piling up on the fresh flower beds that they had JUST weeded, preventing them from doing any further work with it. Working in the cold was one thing, but trying to work through a snowstorm would be impossible. You can't work with plants if you can't SEE them. It was only getting worse too. Fiera sighed. They had made some progress, but it looked like the heavens were making the decision to go home for them today. Besides, with how cold it was getting it wasn't exactly safe to keep Desiree out in this weather anyway. She turned to the haraichu, who was still nestled in the folds of her coat. "Hey, honey. Ready to go home?" Fiera asked.

"Yeah..." She heard in a muffled tone, and she chuckled. "Alright then, let's get out of here." Fiera said, and started packing up. It didn't take too long as they had barely gotten started, and soon all of her equipment was packed and ready to go. She shuffled it onto her back, and then crouched down next to Desiree. "Do you want me to carry you this time?" She asked. Desiree looked around at the snow, which was already two inches high. That was nothing to Fiera, but for Desiree it was nearly knee high, which would make the trip home much more difficult than the trip there. "...Yeah." The haraichu admitted, and Fiera offered her hand. The pixie stepped onto it gratefully, and was raised up to Fiera's shoulder. From there, Fiera unlatched the gate to the garden, stepped through, closed it, and they were on their way back to where they came from.

Silver and Cepe had spent the day wandering through the gardens with no particular direction in mind. They had long since left Silver's own garden plot to explore the rest of the area. It was possible that Silver should be worried about trampling into someone else's flower bed, but they weren't. The idea simply didn't occur to them. All they cared about at the moment was how Cepe was doing, and watching all of the cute reactions he had to the varying fauna and flora of the gardens. Cepe was cute to Silver, sure, but to an average person he might be terrifying. It was one of those weird lizards with mushrooms growing out of its back, but instead of being a foot long, it was as big as a couch! A small person (like Silver) could easily sit on its back and ride it around! Plus those rows of sharp teeth in his mouth didn't do him any favors, either. Besides all of that, it was the season for his mushrooms to fall off, and he constantly scratched at them, leaving a little trail of spores and mushroom bits everywhere he went. 1[86.5 - 7.2]

By the time Fiera had gotten Desiree back home, the snow had stopped again. Fiera considered going back to work, but the haraichu was plenty tuckered from their little adventure. As a result, Fiera decided to bring a different pet along with her. Lincoln was always a solid choice for bringing on an adventure, and he seemed interested in the strange weather. With any luck, his curiosity over the snow drifts would keep him from getting into too much trouble. As they approached Fiera's picket fence bordered plot however, the humanish noticed something... odd about it. That is to say, there was a person in one of the neighboring plots for once, along with an absolutely massive lizard. Was that a laredo? It was bizarre looking with bright purple frills and something like... mushrooms growing from its back, but she supposed it could be a custom one. From there though, her attention was torn to the plot they were standing on- did it belong to them? She quietly bit a lip. Had they noticed that she had, ah... accidentally put the fence posts of her own plot a little too far out, expanding into their own plot? Not that they had any reason to be upset- it was completely abandoned, so if they didn't want someone else to make use of the space, they should have taken better care of it. "Hello, hello!" Fiera said, in a sugary, cheery voice. "Enjoying the view, hm?" She gestured to her own plot, bordered by trees. Fiera 1 Lincoln 18.1/20.1 36

They had been wandering for a while, and Silver wasn't familiar with their surroundings any more. It looked like these were mostly abandoned plots that didn't belong to anyone, or if they did, they were shockingly bad gardeners. It had been so long since they had seen a pretty flower that they stopped feeling bad about potentially trampling someone else's plot. There were hardly any to trample! They would have continued letting Cepe chase whatever sparse wildlife existed in the cold weather if not for what happened next.
Someone called out to him, a friendly greeting but a startling one nonetheless. Silver was so lost in their own head that the sound of another voice made them jump a little bit. They looked around to see where the other person was and eventually their eyes settled on Fiera. She had said something, but they had already forgotten what it was. She didn't seem angry, so Silver figured they could work with that. They already started to form an apology in their head for potentially trampling her flowers, just in case they had already unknowingly done that. There were some fence posts back there, after all, and they had completely disregarded them.
"Ah, hey!" they called out, waving with a gloved hand. Their was tail pinned to the back of their legs like a dog who wasn't sure if it was in trouble. Before they got a chance to say anything else, Cepe went charging over to say hello. "Cepe wait, don't ..." but it was too late, he was already chasing after the new lady and her shiny rock lizard. All he wanted was to be pet, but they probably didn't know that.

Fiera watched as the other figure tentatively returned her wave. She was about to start calculating things about their personality from that alone- intensity, determination, confidence and whatnot- but soon realized that she had a very large problem. Running directly at her. The laredo- or whatever it was- was FAR faster than she had expected, and her eyes could only watch it galumph closer and closer as her legs refused to move. She glanced over at Lincoln, who had his ears perked up in the direction of the approaching beast, but made no move to protect his owner or get up at all, really. "Oh, thanks a LOT, you big-" Fiera hissed, just moments before she was bowled over by a humongous lizard. She shrieked as the creature investigated her- she wasn't exactly pinned down and certainly wasn't injured, but she did love to whine. "Get it OFF!" She screamed, waving her arms wildly. "Get your overgrown newt off of me, I'm being CRUSHED!"

"Cepe! Cepe get down!" Cepe was a simple creature, but he did sort of know some commands. Silver rarely actively taught their creatures anything, but they were such a natural with them that many picked up some basic stuff without having ever been formally taught. "Cepe, you need to come here," Silver looked stern and fierce, but only for a second.
Cepe eventually relented, looking rather sorry for what he had done, and took a step back. He was still hovering over the nice lady, at least a little bit, but he wasn't quite as close as he was before. That was his version of a compromise, perhaps. Silver rushed over and gave Cepe a mighty shove, only for him to take another couple of awkward steps and look very disappointed about how all of that went.
Now Silver was standing over her, and when they realized it, they took a dramatic step backwards. They held out a hand to her and offered to help her up. "I am so sorry for Cepe, he's lovely, really, but he is a bit... well, dumb. He doesn't mean you any harm, I promise." This wasn't the first time one of their weird creatures had tackled a stranger, so they were pretty used to this whole speech.
"You're not hurt, are you?"

Fiera looked up at the person, up close now for once as they shoved the creature off. They... somewhat resembled Fiera if she was being honest. Not in terms of face shape or colors, of course not, but considering that this city had talking giant bugs as a class of citizenry, it was almost comforting to see someone else with fuzzy ears and a tail. Not that she was going to act like it was, of course. She took a deep breath, preparing her speech. "No, I am not ok!" She wailed. "The pain is unbearable! I don't know HOW I'm meant to work on my garden in this state! I had so much to do, and spring could be here any day now!" That part was probably a stretch- the weather was still pretty cold. Not that she'd show that. "And now I can barely stand! How will I ever get it all done?" She said, before looking at the stranger expectantly.

Silver looked equally shocked and concerned by her reaction to what happened. If she was lying (or just being dramatic), they certainly didn't notice and took her at her word. They frowned slightly while quickly coming up with a solution. They looked over their shoulder as if they were expecting something to be there. A mysterious grey creature made of smoke and light appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. She had always been there, but she was easily hidden away in Silver's similarly colored hair and tail. She didn't like to make herself immediately known to strangers if she could avoid it, but sensing their distress, she came out willingly and looked down at the girl on the ground. She looked back at Silver for a moment and they had a brief silent conversation with their eyes. If a fox could shrug, she did exactly that, and floated toward Fiera. "It's okay, this will make it all better," Silver reassured with a nod. A soft blue light enveloped the both of them, and if Fiera did actually have any cuts, scrapes or bruises from her fall, she would feel them fade away into nothing. Suddenly every ache and pain was gone in an instant. Silver smiled and waited for Fiera to respond. Surely she would be impressed by their freaky magical powers, right? "Oh, and Cepe's sorry, too, aren't you Cepe?" Cepe turned his head at the sound of his name, but he stayed away from the angry lady for now. He idly scratched his back with one of his hind legs, and a few reasonably sized mushrooms fell off onto the ground. "See? He even got you a present!" Silver was beaming as if they had solved all of the world's problems. [Zii uses 'healing aura,' curing all creatures nearby for 5 Stamina.] Silver: 4Total: 7[87.2 - 7.6, 24.6]

Fiera could only stare in shock as a foxlike ball of smoke appeared out of pretty much nowhere. She even forgot to writhe in pain for a moment, resulting in the airy creature turning to its owner and seeming...confused in a way. "This will make it all better." She heard, which she, of course, regarded as a threat. Over WHAT she couldn't comprehend, but she was long used to people talking in double speak like that. But instead, a soft blue light started glowing around her, and suddenly... her knees felt a little less achey than they had this morning. Wait, was that... magic? Well crap, there went her plan, right out the window. What a pain. What was the use of getting trampled by a lizard if you couldn't get free gardening out of it?
"Oh, thank you! I feel so much better now!" Fiera lied. She tried not to grimace at the sight of the mushrooms and picked them up to be polite. "What... a fine gift! So then.. tell me what brings you out here!" She said, blatantly fishing for info.
