That was... more flowers than she thought. Fiera knew exactly how much she ordered of course, she had already paid for them. But seeing them in front of her was,. something else, huh. Bubbles was already having a great time, leaping through the rows and rows of sprouts, yapping loudly, but Fiera was still trying to take it all in. This wasn't even all the flowers that her garden would need, either- they were just for a portion further in. Well, she supposed she'd better get to moving them, or she'd never finish. She reached down and grabbed a convenient handle that the seed starter grids had- it made it awful convenient to transport large numbers of plants at one time. With one hand, she could carry about thirty! Then she grabbed another, hefting it up on her other side. They were a little heavy, but nothing that Fiera couldn't handle.

With that, she started up on the path through the garden, the gravel crunching under her feet. The flower beds to either side of the path needed replanting too, but that could be done later- after all, she wouldn't need to carry them very far when she got around to it. It was best if she did the furthest areas of the garden first, you know? Bubbles was quick to notice her walking away though, and yapped loudly as she rushed to catch up. When she inevitably did very quickly though, she doubled back, racing around Fiera in circles. "Uh, easy there." The humanish stammered, trying her best to not trip over the houluh. She supposed that if you didn't train your pet, an untrained pet is what you would get when you took them anywhere, as evidenced by the fact that Bubbles didn't want to heel at all right now.

Soon Fiera had left the entry pathway of her garden, leaving the sapling trees and dead flower beds behind. There was a split in the path up ahead, arcing in either direction around a small pond. She had cleared out the weeds around it a while ago, leaving it fresh and clean for spring. It had finally thawed out too, from the looks of it. Always eager to see new things, Bubbles rushed up to the water's edge, sticking her nose in it with a sense of youthful curiosity. She yelped with surprise and soon ran back to Fiera, shaking pond water from her ears, flapping them about. Fiera hissed slightly and recoiled from the houluh as cold drops of water splashed against her legs. Even if the pond was thawed, it didn't look like she could call it warm yet. That distinction would probably take a couple more months to develop.

She took a deep breath, and let her rage bubble away. Bubbles was just a puppy- she didn't mean it. Honestly, it was a little funny. "Bet you're regretting that now, huh?" She said, looking over to Bubbles where she was pawing at her nose, no doubt feeling rather chilly. "Come on! You can warm back up as we go." She said, heading down the left path. To the right there was a set of stairs that led up to a terrace overlooking the garden. It was very pretty and Fiera was careful to keep it clean throughout the winter, but it didn't actually have any flowers on it. It was mostly trees and bushes in the center of the terrace, surrounded by stone and concrete forming the lookout area. Very pretty, but not relevant to Fiera's current task, unfortunately. She had to keep going to where there were flowers.

After a few moments of complaining, Bubbles made a quick recovery and trotted after her owner again. Soon Fiera came to an open square. The gravel beneath her feet gave way to packed dirt, and park benches were scattered around the perimeter of the square. In addition to those, tall posts carried lanterns (currently unlit) that Fiera could light if there was ever a special event. In addition to the lanterns though, elegant 'branches' came out from either side, ending in a hook. And on each hook was a metal basket, in which straw was packed before dirt was poured in and flowers planted. In the summer, leafy vines would pour from the top and over the sides, blossoming with flowers and creating a 'hanging garden' effect for people to look at when they entered the square. It would be beautiful... but not right now. Right now it was admittedly kind of ugly.

First things first, she had to get the excess greenery out of the way. There were a couple of squashes here that she hadn't harvested over the winter- those would definitely have to go. Fiera rolled them over to where she had dropped her bag (As she wouldn't be carrying THAT the whole time), so she wouldn't forget to take them back with her. It always seemed like some fruit or another was popping up around here. Fiera didn't really mind though- she got a good price for the produce at curious collections, when they had something she wanted. It was just a hassle getting it back to her house, is all. Now that the area was clear though, Fiera was pretty sure she could move on- she didn't think squashes could sneak up on her, after all. Bubbles probably could though, she noted as the houluh snuck through the bushes.

By 'snuck' though, she meant more... galumped. Bubbles was just a puppy after all, and they weren't exactly known for their sneakiness. She did seem to be enjoying the bushes though, so Fiera let her be. The less distractions the humanish could have, the better. While Bubbles was preoccupied, she turned to the first pole. Uh... hm. Fiera stretched up, trying to reach the first basket. She could just barely brush the bottom of one of the baskets, getting a few pieces of straw for her trouble. Well that wasn't going to work. She turned to her bag- yeah, she definitely hadn't bought a stepladder. How could she get up there... Fiera picked up one of the squashes, and tried balancing it on the other. It toppled off nearly immediately, laying dejectedly on the ground. Yeah, she definitely couldn't use them to get extra height. She didn't think that just one of them could even hold her weight.

She sighed, and looked around some more. She couldn't go back to the front of the garden now- getting the step ladder from the tool shed would, frankly, take FOREVER. Not to mention how heavy it would be carrying it all the way back here. She'd just have to make do with what she had around her... whatever that may be. Perhaps... she walked over to a park bench and looked underneath it. Sure enough, these things weren't bolted to the ground. In a public park, perhaps they would be. People were absurd creatures, but who would steal or upend a bench all the way out here? Granted, it would still probably be very heavy, but at least she wouldn't have to drag it for several hundred feet. Probably just a yard or two. She glanced around, trying to ascertain Bubble's position first, and saw the houluh laying against her bag.

The young creature looked close to napping in the springtime air. Cute, and it meant that she was out of the way too. Still, Fiera didn't think she'd be able to sleep for long. She couldn't imagine that the sound of this bench being dragged across the ground would be particularly quiet. Oh well- she decided to get it out of the way. In fact... if she did the job right, she could even get it under two of the poles at once, keeping her from having to do it again for that much longer. Without further ado, Fiera rubbed her hands together and then put them on the arm rest of the bench, gripping it as hard as she dared. Then she grit her teeth and heaved backwards. Her ears flattened against her skull as it squealed, metal scraping on metal as she scraped it across the stone square.

Bubbles was awake in an instant due to the noise, looking around herself while confused, as if she had forgotten where she had decided to take a nap. Houluh pups didn't exactly have long attention spans, did they. Fiera didn't have time to mull it over though, as she was still trying to pull the bench. She only had a few more feet to go- the noise was unpleasant, but the idea of having to do it in multiple spurts was even worse. She sighed with relief as she dragged it into place, shaking her arms to get rid of the pain. She checked it quickly, looking at how it lined up with the basket. Not quite straight... she went ahead and kicked it a few times to nudge it those few extra inches. She wasn't about to let her arms get even more tired- she'd need those later in the day.

From there it didn't take Fiera too long at all to hop up onto the fine wooden planks of the bench and reach the hanging basket. With a few swift motions of her hands, she was able to unhook it and bring it back down again. Bubbles circled under her, yapping loudly with excitement. Fiera supposed that she must be quite a show right now, doing strange things with strange objects. She hopped down from the bench, setting the basket down on the ground before turning to some of the flowers. The soil in the basket was dry and cracked, but overturning it some showed that it was still light and fluffy under the initial layer. It also had planted in it last year's flowers, brown and shriveled from the long winter. Fiera dug her fingers through the dried out soil, trying to reach the base of the former flower.

She didn't want to pluck straight from the top. Fiera knew from experience by now that pulling straight up meant that she'd get a few torn off tips of desiccated plant matter and little else. The dead plant simply couldn't stand up to that sort of force anymore. If she wanted it out, she'd have to pull straight from the roots. Thankfully, that wasn't too hard. Most of the root matter was still in a tightly woven clump under the leaves, and she was able to yank the whole thing out in one swift motion, launching a spray of dried dirt from the basket as well. Bubbles yipped and leapt away, but didn't run too far. This was simply too interesting for her to leave be for long! No, she came right back and shoved her soft and fluffy head under Fiera's elbow, surely assisting her in her efforts to garden properly.
