Nadia was back, again.
She half expected to be turned away at the door. It was becoming a regular occurrence, her mooching around the agency; she had taken a shine to its occupants, and was fond of Murr, despite conversation between them having been rather sparse. After her recent successes with the houluh already under her guidance, she had decided that she could have one last run to pick up a puppy in need of a home.
It wouldn't be 'one last run', though. It never was. Still, she lived in denial.
At least she'd left it longer than a month this time! Gelert and Hael were growing into fine specimens after their debutante shows. She'd have time to dedicate to training a new addition.
"Murr, Cocao, good morning," She greeted the pair with good cheer in her voice, albeit touched with self-consciousness. "I would be delighted if I could observe the puppies you have remaining."

There wasn't a lot to do around the HAA recently, not many people had bred their Houluh for awhile, and it was sad to see the pups living without a permanent home. However, when the door opened and the lady entered, Murr smiled when she and Cacao recognized the voice. "Ah, of course," she purred, "Please fill out this form." Passing the form over the counter to the woman, the Uthax patted Cacao's paw when it was placed on her leg. Not just yet, pup.

It was extremely difficult for Nadia to conceal her excitement. Viewing the puppies was the best part - she wanted to race through all the preamble to get there as soon as possible! She knew the papers were important, though, so she took time to consider them and fill them out correctly.
Her third time. It seemed unfair to other potential owners, but.. she didn't see anyone else in the waiting area, nor had she passed anyone on the way in. If it was a choice between her letting pups stay in the kennels for longer than necessary, and adopting a bunch for herself, she would always opt for the latter.
"Here we go, everything completed," She said as she slipped the document back across to Murr. It was good to see them both! A lot of shopkeepers and staff in the City intimidated her, but she felt that Murr was a gentle soul. "Thank you."

"Thank you, the pups are over here, of course," Murr said, standing up and motioning to Cacao as she made her way over to the kennels. She placed a hand on one of them and then waved her other hand toward where she knew the rest of them were. "Please, take your time and make your decision carefully. Though you've been here enough I know I can count on that from you," Murr said happily, smiling where she thought the woman was standing, Cacao at her side as always.

Nadia followed Murr through to the kennels, and was truly touched to hear of their faith in her abilities. That was delightful. Knowing that Murr could not see the look of gratitude on her face, she tried to express it as keenly through her voice as possible.
"Thank you for your kind words, Murr," She said. "I am most appreciative, and am grateful for the support."
Then for the fun, but difficult, part. There were more pups than usual to be selected from, and that made the job that much more difficult. How could she bear to take just one and leave the rest behind? Her consolation was that Murr would be with them, and she had no doubt that they would take excellent care of them. One stuck out from the rest, as her favourite - though she hated to choose, she forced herself to settle.
"I would love to bring Pup H home with me."

Ah, from what she had been told, the woman made a good choice. Her hand was guided by Cacao until she found the sign which said "H" and then drew the puppy into her arms and back to the counter. She placed the pup into a box and put it onto the counter, "Pup H will be with Nadia's Bloomwood House. As always, please let us know if you cannot fulfill your obligations to Pup H, though I have all faith in you with consideration to the last two pups." Murr smiled a little and kept her hand on the box until it was taken away.

Well, here he was... doing something stupid, but for a good cause, right? Obsidion sighed a little and entered the building. What was he going to do with a... puppy? Well, Cookie was a pup, right? It all worked out well enough for now, he expected, it couldn't be all that different. Looking around, he saw the massive... what was that anyway? Huh, better be polite, it had a Houluh next to it after all. "I'm Obsidion, Black Stone Kennel, I'm here to uh... adopt, I guess?" he said, leaning on the counter with a winning smile. It didn't occur to him that Murr might be blind, and that's why she needed the Houluh, but what was she going to do at the moment with all that anyway? A few pups could be seen around the corner, and that was exciting, he supposed. Shopping for someone else's Houluh? That was going to be rough, he knew... Murr was relieved, to have a visitor. It had been a while since the last adopter had come in, and they had been sadly unsuccessful - she was looking forward to finding the puppies some homes. Her head lifted, as did Cacao's, in preparation to lend some assistance. "Greetings. Please, fill in these documents," She pulled the papers from a file and pushed them across the desk in the man's direction.

"Oh, right," Obsidion said and started to fill out the information in his untidy, large scrawl. He wasn't the most literate person ever, but he made do with what he could right now. Sticking his tongue out as he tried his best to write, he really did try his best, but what else could he really do? His black eyes glanced over to where he heard the pups, and he wondered if he remembered which one he was going for. A frown crossed his face, he had to remember, it was half white, right? Well, if not, he was sure she would be happy with any of them... or he hoped so at least. Chewing his lip, he pushed the papers back over to the Uthax and gave a winning smile, "There you go, all filled out!" He was proud of himself right now, getting through the complicated forms on his own, without any help at all.

Murr nods, and tucks the form into the appropriate section, before motioning to Cacao to assist her in standing. "This way, please." The pair make their way over to the back, where the adoptable pups are available for viewing, and hopefully selection by this new man. "Here we are. Please, let me know when you have made a choice."

"Right," he said with a nod and then followed her to look at the pups. They were all pretty cute, really, tails wagging and all that when they saw him. Some were yawning, some were trying to play through their little kennels, and all seemed not to know that they might be going home. He zeroed in on one he recognized and smiled a little, kneeling down to see what was going on. Would she remember him or anything? It didn't seem like it, but whatever, he figured. "Here, pup H, that's the one I want," Obsidion said with a little smile as he put a finger in between some of the wire on the kennel and the pup licked him. It was going to be great, he would get her all worked up and all that and then give her over to her and everything would be fine once again. Hopefully at least.

Murr allowed Cacao to lead her closer to the kennels, and she ran her fingers over the braille to locate Pup H. "Pup H, certainly," She said - she was gentle when she scooped up the houluh to take it back to the next room and place it in a basket for the man to carry. "Pup H will go with Obsidion of Black Stone Kennel. If you cannot fulfil your obligations to this pup, please let us know." Hopefully, this baby would not return a second time.

Honestly, Aubrey hadn't been sure what exactly he was doing when he registered for a Houluh kennel license. He'd never had one before, and he didn't have much experience with canids in general. But they seemed like such friendly little guys, and he had been curious... And so here he was at the Adoption Agency. What better place to find his first friend to take home?
He would have liked to come with Yeo-reum along for moral support, but a dragon of that size would probably be scary for the pups. And possibly also the staff. Aubrey didn't think Yeo-reum was frightening at all, but he knew that it was in part because he was already familiar with the Tat.
"H-Hi there," he said, trying not to look as awkward as he felt, though he doubted he succeeded. "I'm here to take a look at some pups, if that's alright... Ah, here's my paperwork, I hope everything looks okay on there."

Murr was glad to hear another visitor. This one sounded unfamiliar, to boot - a new potential adopter. This was all very promising for the future of the pups. "Hello. Certainly," Her muscle memory allowed her to tuck the paperwork away into the correct drawer with ease. "Come with me, please." Cacao was ready to go immediately, guiding her through to the back room, where the puppies waited. "Take your time, and let me know when you have made a selection."

"Thank you!" Aubrey smiled, relieved that the person running the place seemed friendly and didn't mind his obvious nerves.
The back room was alive with puppies. He almost wasn't sure where to look, since they were all running and playing around. Aubrey froze at the threshold, unsure as to how to proceed, but as luck would have it, the decision seemed to have been made for him. A reddish looking pup with silky fur tottered over to him on still-unsteady legs, but otherwise bold as you please, and sat there at his feet, staring up at him. Its tail wagged gently, and when he didn't immediately respond, it whined plaintively at him.
Laughing a little, he bent down to pick up the pup, who began at once to squirm around and lick at his face. "Is it alright if I take this one with me? The tag says Puppy N..."
