He'd never really fully gone through the process - only making it as far as carrying and flying. Directing was still something he shamefully never got around to. There was always something else more interesting to do at any given time. Or perhaps he didn't want to admit that he was easily distracted. The leopard went after the large dragon and cleaned up after her destructive wake, tidying up the fallen gardening supplies. The beast was distracted by a relatively large looking bee. Which she still dwarfed by comparison, but the insect was still sizable for being a bug. What was it with the dragon and bees? No matter the age, they just seemed to be attracted to her. Though.. She was still a form of plant, he supposed. An animate plant, but still something insects perhaps sought to fertilize. Even if she had no flowers. Ah, was he thinking too much again?

"Making new friends there, Tetria?", he casually asked the creature as it trudged after its newfound companion. The bumby buzzed lazily around the beast, seeming undisturbed by the fact that it could probably swallow it in a single bite by mistake. The dragon lackadaisically craned its head toward the man after hearing its name, blinking at him slowly with its large blue eyes. A deep rumble escaped its throat as if to answer 'yes' to his question, then slowly returned its attention to the bumbly. The pocket-sized insect bumbled about the air for a moment before deciding to land on the dragon's knee. Both the leopard and dragon were intrigued by the bright colored bug. Xentus didn't want Tetria to hurt the little thing, but it seemed the dragon was fine with this development. The beast began to topple itself backward, landing itself on its rear with a mild 'thud' in the most adorable method of sitting the man had ever witnessed from a giant dragon.

A stifled laugh broke the relative quiet of the garden air. For all that size, he somehow expected the creature to grow more dignified, like his wiurns. But instead it seemed Tetria was nothing more than a large whelp. It was easy to forget that she was still young with all that size, and only matured in the physical sense. Xentus came to scoop up the bumbly and examine it closer, seeing that the strange insect seemed.. Docile? Such was the case for a lot of the pocket-sized creatures that roamed the lands. The bug was fluffy and soft, gently buzzing its wings in the confines of his hands. It was strange, but part of him really liked the idea of fuzzy bugs.. But perhaps that was simply his innate fondness of unnaturally fluffy creatures. His mind brought up images of Alerios and Basantai; two delightfully furred creatures of species that normally were not.

His mind wandered to the thought of fluffy golossle. This was.. Difficult to picture. At first, he tried to picture the ethereal golossle in his care as something far more fluffy.. But it was difficult trying to figure just where and how it might be adorned in a plush pelt. Not only that, but imagining what was essentially a ghost as fuzzy was bending his mind a little too much. A strange smirk twisted his muzzle as he stared at the bumbly as he made his best attempt to merge its visage with that of a giant beetle. Perhaps long silken fur would be the right choice. Flowing off the legs and claws. A chuckle finally escaped him as he brought himself back to reality. "Tetria doesn't suppose she would enjoy being fluffy, hm?", the leopard uttered half to himself, half to the dragon in his company, "Fur gets hot in summer heat".

The dragon stared at the man and his strange words. It didn't understand a single thing, aside from the utterance of its name. A curious snout reached out to sniff at the man, trying to ascertain what he wanted. Something about the bug? The creature's hot breath threatened to singe his fur, making him recoil back in surprise. The fist-sized bee took this lapse in his grasp to buzz free from its confines and circle about the pair. Not something the leopard was worried about though. He dismissed the bug and stared at the cyan dragon-oak. "Heat is no issue for you though, hm?", he murmured, "Perhaps one day Xentus will figure how to tame the flames with you, Tetria" The beast was a literal fire-breathing dragon, but that wasn't something he was unfamiliar with. "Ah but dealing with flames under the sun isn't quite what this one is willing to handle at the moment", he admitted with a laugh.

He did want to do something with the beast, but he couldn't figure exactly what. Perhaps simply spending a summer day with it would suffice. And if something came to mind, he could simply act on his whims as he normally did. For now though.. The leopard sat himself beside the beast's thigh under the shade of one of those broad wings. A long exhale escaped him as he looked about his surroundings. There was a lot of work to do in the garden, but honestly, he didn't want to do any of it. A task left by his present self for his future self. An occurrence which happened fairly often with him. And he probably wouldn't get anything done with Tetria lumbering around him anyway. The dragon was content sitting on its rear for the moment, kept entertained by the buzzing bumbly. Her short little arms swatted out pitifully in a feeble effort to grab the bug as the leopard did.

Try as she might, this just wasn't working out for her. An annoyed grumble escaped the beast, followed by a whine that sounded akin to a hefty branch beginning to snap. Xentus laughed as he watched on, contemplating if he should help her out or not. Ah, just when he sat himself down.. Up onto his feet again he went, not wanting the large dragon to become upset and start a tantrum. His eyes tracked the bee closely while his feet stalked after it. The bug was a fairly slow flyer, but its movements were on the erratic side. Plus, he didn't want to hurt the tiny thing. Tetria's whining quieted as she watched the leopard try to catch the bumbly, seeming appeased by the idea she didn't have to work so hard to capture it herself. Xentus noticed as much, solidifying in his head that the dragon was nothing more than a big baby.

With a careful pair of poised hands, the mammalian reached out and grabbed at the bee. It only took him three tries to actually capture the thing. Once again in the confines of the man's hands, the bumbly buzzed its wings in mild protest, though it didn't struggle too much. It was bested. Now only awaited one of two possible futures: death or escape. It seemed to be content with either. Or so the leopard made up the narrative in his mind about it. He laughed at himself and turned to Tetria, presenting her with the bumbling bug once more. "How about we keep your new friend somewhere safe, hm?", the leopard murmured, looking about the garden now. The dragon had an open air shed which it nested in. He could fashion an old crate into a hutch of sorts, he supposed. It was something to do, at least. The leopard headed off toward the shed and beckoned for his companion. "Come along, Tetria".

Gardening Venture #6> Xentus, accompanied by... He was up to no good and he knew it too. A smirk rested on the leopard's normally gentle face, hinting at the devious plot he was devising. His eyes were locked on a curious little dragon scampering around the trunk of a tree, marveling at the glint of its scales. Oh little did it know that it was at the center of his plans. The man had gotten a little too comfortable about the fighting pit - going from doubtful of its purpose to plotting his next champion pet. He would put it in more succinct words - something more along the lines of testing the strength of both his teachings and the creatures he taught. But, no matter how it was worded, he was indeed looking forward to the next challenge involving potential bloodshed. If all went according to his plan, however, none of his own creatures would come close to any harm.

And that would be thanks to the little dragon there. Sequinn, or Quinn as he liked to call it, was quite the curious little beast, both in personality and in sparking it from others around. Its multi-colored scales glimmered with a brilliant glow which attracted the eye.. Making it the perfect target for any adversary. Now, one would think that to be counter-intuitive to what anyone would want - for their darling, delicate little faeron to be the focus of an opposing beast. But this was exactly what he wanted. From his research, faeron were notoriously nimble creatures and there were even tales of them coming out unscathed from disasters. Getting caught under the fast moving wheels of a equillion-drawn carriage, for example. A faeron would emerge from such an ordeal completely unscathed. Was he wise to believe such a tale..? Perhaps not. But he did see some truth to it based on what he saw of his own fae-dragons.

There were two of them, brother and sister. Azzu and Sequinn. A rambunctious pair that didn't know exactly when to stop getting into things they shouldn't. Which.. Was mostly his fault for not spending more time with them when they were young, but that was something he took full responsibility for. He had a lot to do! Which was no excuse, but it was as good an excuse as he was going to get. In any event, he was going to take the chance and do a little bit of testing. While part of him still was wary about sending creatures to fight in the pit, knowing they would heal and potentially grow stronger from the ordeal made it less scary. Even while he watched the faeron, he was already thinking of how he could take on the various opponents at the pit. Perhaps Basantai could see some action there - the pliathor was probably his strongest asset.

The big lug could probably make quick work of whatever adversary it faced. Which was what he expected out of the giant guardian - even if it wasn't quite trained for combat yet. It was better at giving kisses and boops than biting with that massive maw. The thought made the man chuckle. He ought to bring the serpent to the garden sometime, if only to lounge on the beast under the summer sun. His current choice of companion was still pretty good though. With boundless energy, the small dragon was rather entertaining to watch scurry about the tree trunk. It seemed hardly attached with those tiny limbs, yet could glide about the surface with ease. Currently, Sequinn was chasing down a tiny lizard, scampering up into the low branches of the tree. Quiet yips and what even sounded like childish giggles sounded from the tiny beast, undoubtedly from delight. Or thrill of the hunt.

Come to think of it, was it hungry? The garden flora was in full bloom and blossom, offering a bountiful array of fruits and veggies. Mostly unintentionally, admittedly. He hadn't quite yet tamed all the wilderness of the land he'd claimed as his garden, so much of what grew was a random assortment of things he didn't even know of. Some of the produce had already been eaten by the creatures living here (and likely visitors as well) but if he were to just go searching, he could probably find something.. Ah, like this weird, bushy plant. Not too far from where he was posted did he find.. Gooseberries, if he remembered right. The ripe fruit was as green as the plant's leaves, plump and juicy looking. He tested one out for safe measure, finding the grape-like berry to taste quite similar to grapes. A bit tangier, sour. And not very sweet.

Still, it was something to chew on while meandering about the garden. There were plenty of garden chores, but none were particularly interesting to do. And with an energetic little dragon to keep an eye on, he didn't think he'd truly get much done today. Now then, what could he do while also keeping the faeron engaged.. The leopard's eyes gazed about the mess of a garden he had on his hands, looking for something he actually wanted to do. Digging up weeds was always an on-going struggle. A small fairy-dragon would enjoy digging, right? Getting some of the land and flowerbeds cleaned up would suffice just fine for now. With gooseberries in-hand, the man went back to the tree where his companion was and checked up in the branches. A glowing, black and sparkle dragon was sure to be easy to find amid the greenery, right? But it would seem the creature made its way elsewhere.
