Name: Kadin Fey
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Native Language: Common
Birthday: April 6th
Physical Description.
Height: 5'10''
Eyes: Dark blue
Hair: Black
Skin Tone: Somewhat tanned
Frame: Athletic build, does heavy lifting on the job, but isn't a gym rat
Piercing: One stud, left ear.
Clothing: Particularly fond of hoodies, Kadin dresses for comfort over style. He wears jeans, shirts that are comfortable, and a jacket or hoodie whenever the weather permits. Then again, he rarely consents to wearing anything more heavy than a hoodie, so I suppose it balances off in the end. Boxers, not briefs.
Personality.
Kadin's always been a quiet sort of person. He keeps to himself, for the most part. His default setting is annoyed-about-something, but he's polite enough if someone tries to talk to him without being an asshole about it. His fuse is pretty short, however, so it doesn't take much for him to just straight up leave a conversation he doesn't feel like being apart of. If they don't take the hit, a well timed "fuck off" is sure to follow.
On the flip side, Kadin genuinely enjoys being outdoors. Some of his favorite activities while outdoors are swimming, climbing trees, and just walking around or hiking. Really, he's happy if you just let him walk around outside for a while and don't constantly bug him while he's doing it. In addition to being good at those various outdoorsey activities, Kadin is particularly skilled at patching himself up, pushing people away, and ignoring questions that he'd rather just not answer!
Probably because of all his charming personality traits, Kadin finds it very difficult to ask for help in a situation where he'd probably need it. It isn't like he's incapable of realizing that he needs help, it's the actual asking that has him stopping short, giving up, trying to do whatever it is by himself, and usually either failing or surprising himself. Actions speak louder than words when it comes to Kadin.
History.
His early childhood wasn't anything spectacular. Both of his parents had some sort of occupation to keep them busy, so Kadin usually found himself spending most of his time with a friend of the family that didn't mind watching over him. However, at an early age, Kadin was already developing his strong sense of independence, and he didn't take too kindly to being told what to do by someone who wasn't his mother or father.
Once he was old enough to begin learning more useful skills than how to ignore one's babysitter, Kadin's parents began to send him to various trade schools in order to find out what he'd be best suited for. Or, at least, that's what they told him. In reality, they were trying to get him a more well-rounded education than other children his age in order to prepare him to join them in a life of espionage. Or, well, something like that? He never got all the details.
As one could imagine, it wasn't all that easy to interact with kids his own age while his parents were sending him off all over the place all the time. Kadin managed to develop some casual friendships, but not so many close friends. It wasn't even because of his busy schedule, he just didn't like sharing much about himself. Perhaps it was because of his lonely upbringing, but one can only wonder at this point.
Something changed once he was about 16 years old. He'd picked up on some tension earlier than that, but it wasn't until he was around 15 or 16 that the strain between his parents finally reached some sort of breaking point. They were arguing. Constantly. Kadin took to staying in his room when he wasn't learning how to tie knots or sail a boat, sometimes just staring at a candle flame or listening to music for hours while his parents argued downstairs.
Something was happening and they were scared, so they were taking it out on each other.
The first time, out of rage, one of his parents hit the other (he wasn't sure who hit who, he just knew that it happened) was the signal for their separation. Kadin was 16 when it happened. His mother packed her things and his and moved them both to a room above a friend's shop, but they didn't leave town. It was until nearly a year later that Kadin realized why, despite all the troubles between his mother and his father, they both continued to work together doing... whatever it was that they were doing.
As to be expected, everything eventually went to shit. His parents told him to run and so he did. Eventually, he ended up in the labs, oh, about 6 years ago now? He lived in the kennels for most of that time, met some people, made some friends, trained some pets.
Not that he remembers it at all. Some time between then and now, there was an accident. Now Kadin's left with a six-year gap in his memory, a ring he doesn't remember getting but knows that it was a gift, and a fuckton of pets he has no fucking clue what to do with. What's even more weird? Most of them don't seem to remember him, either.
Friends.
Uuuuh... I don't remember.
