Once the training was over with, Kadin released the leashes and let the houluh off to take a break from the training. Since they had just been doing so much training and getting tasty treats, they didn't seem particularly keen to leave him, they just wanted to stick nearby and get more treats! So to get them to move Kadin decided to start walking along, encouraging them to start ranging around instead of sticking by them again. He wanted them to explore, maybe look for something else, maybe play a little bit. Tex was the one who seem to stick to Kadin the longest, but eventually Pepper started to range out. She spotted Jude out further and raced over to him, wondering what he was up to. She didn't want to be left out in anything and if Jude was doing something interesting she wanted to be involved! So she raced over because she wanted to play too so she headed over to him. Tex wanted to stick by Kadin instead because he had been giving so many treats so maybe he might give some more if he stuck by him! He really liked Kadin and wanted to stay near! But Jude wasn't interested in having another houluh nearby to interrupt his sniffing! He liked to keep going out and looking for what he was looking for, he wanted to find something interesting all for himself! He growled back at Pepper and suddenly dropped into a play bow, tail wagging. Maybe he wanted to play after all.

Kadin watched them at their antics, amused at the houluh as they were playing. He wouldn't really get over how crazy they tended to be, always getting into different play fights and acting tough when they were push overs, at best. He bet if they actually ran into anything out there, they'd just run away anyway. It was pretty amusing when stuff like that happened too. He walked loosely after the houluh, watching them carefully and making sure that they didn't get too far away while they were having their fun. Jude and Pepper seemed to finally hit it off. It seemed like Jude's posturing and searching finally turned into playing with Pepper instead, barking and growling at her while daring her to chase him around in order to play with him. She was more than happy to play along with that, it seemed like a lot of fun to play all of this chase! She yipped back and ran around to chase him, more than happy to play a silly game like this. She barked and barked her crazy head off, chasing Jude around while he danced just out of her reach, hoping to have fun by chasing him. Tex watched this all from Kadin's side, happy enough to stay with him but keeping a close eye on the other houluh while they were playing. He was whining in the back of his throat, boofing out and wiggling on his toes as if he couldn't get enough from just watching.

Kadin didn't get why he didn't just run out to go play, but it didn't seem like he was all that interested in that. He just wanted to bark at them while they were standing around, apparently. He small woofs did start to end up just like that, full barks at he basically tried to ref the fight from a distance. It was pretty amusing, actually, since he was basically just standing there doing nothing while the other houluh were playing, but Kadin didn't see any harm in any of it so he just kept letting him do what he felt like doing. He watched carefully as the play progressed, too, not wanting it to get too out of hand. But he didn't need to worry too much about that. Pepper and Jude were around the same age, even if Pepper was a tiny bit older, so it wasn't like their play was too uneven or anything. He could just watch them and not worry too much about it, as they ran around and chased each other. Jude seemed to definitely want to be the one who was chased more and Pepper didn't seem to have any objection to it, having more than enough fun chasing him around like a crazy puppy. He found it pretty amusing, everything they were doing together, and just took the moment to simply enjoy wanting his happy puppies do their there. This was what it was all about wasn't it? Just enjoying his pets as they were.

Eventually he'd need to add a little more structure to the outing again, but he wasn't going to worry about it for now. Even if Tex was starting to become annoying as hell with all the barking. But for the most part it was easy enough to ignore. Eventually, however, Kadin did get sick of it. "Tex." He said, sternly. "Chill, the fuck." But the houluh was too engaged in watching the play and barking from afar, of course he didn't respond to what Kadin was doing at all. So, shaking his head, Kadin kept walking to try and get that to get Tex to focus on something besides just following mindlessly the whole time and barking. He kept going on further and eventually Tex did notice that Kadin wasn't near anymore. With his bark suddenly changing tune a bit, he chased after his human and tried his best to catch up, sufficiently distracted from just barking at the other houluh as they had been playing. The other two were too wrapped up in playing with each other to really notice the barking at all so they continued playing as they had been doing. Which was better, since Kadin would only have to deal with one houluh acting like a fool instead of all three at once. Then again, they were all sort of looking like fools, each in their own ways. But regardless of any of that, they were still out here for a purpose, damn it, even if Jude forgot.

They were still looking for things out here in the gardens. Jude wasn't doing any tracking anymore, but Kadin was keeping an eye out on Tex, the other two houluh, and anything else off in the surrounding area. There was still plenty to look for even if the houluh being crazy even if they were making so much noise, which would probably make it next to impossible to find anything with all that racket. But Kadin still held out hope, there were plenty of chances to find something just in case. It was hard to know that they would find anything at all, but he would still try his best regardless. Jude and Pepper ran off further and further ahead, both of them completely forgetting that they had wanted to sniff out something before, they had been wanting to do that but just forgot with all of their play. Tex was more focused on following Kadin since before and now he was still barking at the other two every now and then, but he was more focused on staying near Kadin than the other houluh. Which Kadin sure wasn't going to protest, it was sure easier having stuff to look for when he wasn't tracking three or four things at once. And as long as he kept Tex moving he wouldn't be too annoying with all of that barking. So they kept moving on, looking all over, each in their own way. He was sure that eventually they might just be lucky to find something. Number Tracking: 10 *posts added to levels

A soft rustling and softer foot-falls, a galabex stepped gingerly along the ground. Despite the careful steps, there were a few crunches of leaves here and there, causing the doe to pause with an alert and warry glance. After a minute, it continued on, sniffing and nibbling as it went. While fall was un-doubtly on its way, there were still patches of greenery to snack on.

Just as Kadin felt that there wasn't any chance they might find something, of course they stumble across some creatures. He wasn't particularly surprised to see a Koguma, there were pretty common out here and he seemed to be a magnet for them, but it was nice to see a pachee, too. He never said no to collecting more pachee, after all, and if he could only befriend this one he was sure that he'd make a good fit in the kennel. But what to do? The koguma looked hungry, that would be easy enough to fix, and the pachee seemed... nervous about something. Well, nothing couldn't be fixed with food, could it? Kadin carefully made his way over to the creatures, walking slowly and trying not to look intimidating at all. He tossed some of the plant life he'd been finding all around towards the koguma so that it would keep it occupied and, meanwhile, crouched down a safe distance from the pachee, hopefully far enough that he wouldn't intimidate it. "Hello there, buddy. You look like you're having some trouble out here, do you want to stay with me for a bit to stay safe?"
Meanwhile, Kadin's houluh were off playing on their own. The pups were having a great time doing all sorts of crazy things, wandering around the gardens and playing all sorts of fun games like bitey face, chase, bark at random blades of grass, and others. Kadin figured he could just not pay them much mind right now.

The pachee seemed started, at the least, to be approach by him when it was already afraid because of the hungry koguma. Kadin shifted from a crouch to sitting on the ground, trying to be as non-intimidating as possible. He dug around for some more things he'd been collecting from the gardens and tossed some berries towards the pachee. While he was doing that, he took the opportunity to check on the koguma and was pleased to see that it was still wrapped up in eating everything in front of it. He tossed it some more food, just in case, since he noted that it was slowly getting closer to him. Then he focused back on the pachee. "It's ok, see? I have enough food for the both of you. There's no need to be worried."
The pachee seemed torn with all of this. It stared at Kadin and then at the berries he'd tossed it before, inching forward very slowly to sniff at them to see if it was safe or not. It didn't like that the koguma was getting closer, either, and kept looking at it too.
They'd probably go off eventually and get themselves in trouble later, probably even trying to track down another creature, but he wouldn't worry about it until it actually became a problem. For now they kept running around, wandering in the wild, probably more likely to stumble across something random than he was at the moment with his focus on the two creatures in front of him.

Slowly, oh so slowly, the pachee finally moved close enough to grab the berries. It scooped them up in its paws and backed away quickly, squishing them between its paws and absorbing the nutrients happily. Kadin let out a slight sigh of relief as the pachee seemed pleased by his offerings. He tossed a few more towards it to try and tempt it closer. While the pachee mushed up and absorbed some berries, he turned back to the koguma again. It was so damn ravenous! He offered it some more food, this time from his own hand, but that was what gave it some pause. It stared at the food intently, as if waiting for it to drop from his hand and right into its mouth. But Kadin didn't move. So Kadin waited. And waited. Until it finally lifted its eyes and tilted its head, confused why the food wasn't near it at all. Kadin laughed a little and tossed the food lightly so it was right next to him, tempting the koguma even closer. He shifted to make sure he was sitting right between it and the pachee so he could keep them both comfortable and safe while he was trying to win them both over.
The houluh continued to run around, being crazy puppies. Pepper seemed to pick up a trail not too far away. She let out a high pitched bark and took off down the trail, the other two charging along at her heels. At least they were entertaining themselves.

The pachee mushed up the last of the berries that Kadin had tossed it and quickly moved over to try and beg for more from him. He was a bit surprised that it came over so quickly, but maybe he was doing a better job of blocking the koguma than he thought. Kadin offered some more berries and pachee came up to take them right from his hand! Pleased, he watched as the pachee smushed up some more berries before offering even more. The pachee relaxed, sitting down right near him and eating the berries as he offered them over and over. "There we go." He said, pleased. "We're friends now aren't we?"
Then, he glanced over his shoulder to check on the koguma, too, and toss it more food when it started to nibble on his shirt in place of anything else to find. He rolled his eyes and pushed it away, distracting it with more food. This was going almost too well. Then again, he did just almost lose the shirt off his own back. Maybe he needed to start drawing some boundaries with these guys before they started taking even more liberties. Kadin somehow didn't wince when he felt sticky paws on his pants, the pachee looking for more berries.
The houluh were still off racing a trail of something, anything, whatever it was that they had found. Pepper was still at the front, but Jax and Jude were close behind. They probably wouldn't find anything at all, but they sure seemed sure that they would.

Gosh, it looks like the koguma and the pachee have warmed right up to you! I'm not so sure they're fans of each other just yet, though... best keep an eye on them while they settle in.
[Congratulations, you have successfully tamed the creatures!]
Did you hear a twig break somewhere? No? Maybe not...

The houluh continued racing off in the distance, making fools of themselves. They must think that they were on the train of some game or some great quarry, but the further they ran the more obvious it became that they were only chasing wind. It didn't seem like the human they were here with was too worried about it, either. He hadn't been paying them much mind this whole time and it didn't look like that was about to change. In fact, he still had most of his attention on the two creatures he'd just convinced to tolerate them. They were both practically eating out of his hands at this point, which was quite the accomplishment since one had looked like it was going to take off not that long ago. Kadin continued to sit with the creatures for a while longer to try and make sure that they could get along, too, but eventually he'd need to get up and find those wandering houluh. The last thing that he wanted was for them to get lost out here where he couldn't find them. Sure he couldn't pay attention to them while he needed to focus on other creatures, but it was time to now.

While he was looking for the two houluh that raced off, Mori decided to join him to see what he was up to. As always, Kadin was pleased to see her, even if it was an unexpected visit. She seemed as if she was curious what he was doing out here which, of course, she should have known before even showing up was just more training. She seemed exasperated to realize just this, but didn't say anything about it, instead simply following Kadin around while he went looking for the houluh. The houluh didn't seem to want to be found. He saw that two of them had peeled off together so those were the two that he was after. Mori decided to perch on his shoulder and offer unhelpful advice while he trundled through the gardens, looking for any trace he could find for the lose pups. The houluh, of course, where having the times of their lives. They were racing off, here and there, looking all around and following every smell their little noses could find. They weren't aware at all of the human and hara looking for them and if they had been, they would probably just run further since they liked to play like that, as much as it might annoy their owner. Kadin wouldn't mind, but Mori would probably find it a bit annoying. That was if they could find them at all. The houluh had found a particularly interesting smell so they were after that right now.

They raced along in the gardens, barking up a storm which made them a lot easier to trace, at least. They could smell something! If asked they would swear by it! It wouldn't matter if it was an old scent that they had no chance of actually finding anything from at all because it was so old. Instead they just followed whatever made their zesty little hearts happy. There was so much to see and smell and hear out there, so much that they could follow and enjoy. It was much better than being stuck back at the kennels with nothing to do and no one could really blame them for being excited. Kadin certainly couldn't. Sure he was a bit annoyed to be following them like this, knowing it would be difficult to recall them if he really wanted to, but he wasn't going to worry about it all that much until they finally found them and he could work on making sure they were better trained later. While they were searching, Mori asked him some questions here and there about what he should really do in situations like this. There were plenty of answers he could give and give them he did, but at the end of the day everyone would respond to questions like this a bit differently. There was no way to say how Mori might do it if she was in his position and he told her that, which made her thoughtful. She wanted to know it.
