π² ||Forestry Flight Farms|| π
It's still Miisaa, technically. One of the roads leading to the outskirts of the city, Miisaa turns into it eventually, past the quester's cottage and nestled near the mountains. A little bit more developed than beyond, as the urban sprawl tamed nearby lands enough to cultivate farmland. Used to the comings and goings of so few down the pitted dirt road, most guard creatures don't bother to raise an ear to the activities of neighbors. 'Friendly' loose hounds of multiple sorts might emerge from the tall grasses to nip at their friends' heels or cart wheels. It's all good, harmless fun of barely-trained rural pets... until someone out of routine comes by. Those they consider 'strangers' would be wise to give both the guardians and their owners' suspicious eye from the curtain a wide berth. |
A tall metal gate stands to mark the entryway, loudly proclaiming 'Forestry Flight Farms' with a round sign above, with the silhouette of a sarane with it's wings fully extended in the center, as if looking at a drake in flight from below, a swirl of shooting stars above each wing. While hers wouldn't be the kind to chase wheels down the road, the crow of the gate swinging open would invite quite a number of curious creatures. One might hear baying of canines first, but undoubtedly you'd see the giant drake emerging out of a nearby shed to meet the newcomers before the hounds reach the gate.

The land itself seems to be comprised of fields and forest patches. Shrugging back into the veil of trees to be barely visible to those on the main dirt road, or even the farm gate, is Lethalia's little cabin. Pastures of eclectic sizes zig-zag across the land behind the house, some enveloping large fields of trees. Various types of livestock dot the landscape, somewhat intentionally seeming to have a wide variation of colors among the herds and flocks...
Sometimes a large speckled guest lumbers into the front yard in his farmwide wanderings.
|
The door opens into a bright mud room with storage crates to the right full to the brim with an odd mishmash of of supplies for camping, mining, leashes and collars, and mason jars full of small training treats. The mudroom is open to a more-or-less tidy washroom on the left with a handy little 'dog wash' sink for dirty paws, hooves, and boots alike to wash up before entering the house proper. There's an eclectic assortment of items strewn about the entryway and washroom tables in spite of storage abound.
The foyer is separated off from the rest of the house by another doorway; it opens to a short hallway, door to the bathroom to the right, and the staircase to the left winding up and over the washroom. The hall leads straight to the junction of an open living room where it splits off into the kitchen.
Take care not to walk over the rakai loafing in either doorway or stairwell, or basically anywhere they could possibly be the most effective tripping hazard. It's unlikely they'll leave for something as mere as the door opening into them, or somebody wanting to avoid killing themselves going upstairs. Not moving.

It's a bathroom. For all it's weathered wood it may well have been constructed from an old barn standing before it. There's a roomy standing shower against the one wall, another wood and stone affair. Hmm. Yep. Bathroom for sure.

Across the hall from the bathroom door is the stairs, complete with a window (and usually a critter sitting in it).

Upstairs leads to the largest room in the house. Over half of the footprint upstairs is another simple den with a plush couch covered in a quilt to brighten it. Spanning the entire opposite wall is a built-in work table, leatherworking and fletching tools hanging off of pegboards above it. Neumerous boxes are stacked beneath the work space, bits of leather and bobs of thread spilling over each one.

Lethalia's bedroom takes up the remainder of upstairs. It's nice enough for a room she spends so little time in.

Back downstairs, the den is small, cozy and bright. Lit by large windows and whitewashed walls, with dark exposed beams to contrast on the ceiling. Leafy green plants brighten up the neutrals they're surrounded with, large and healthy. It's more a testamant to the hardiness of the plants that she keeps, rather than the amount of care they're given.
At odds with the decor, a fine film of glitter covers everything, especially shelves that haven't been dusted in a few weeks. It's not much of a stretch to assume it hails from the star-shimmering faeron darting about.

Whether the hearth stones are warm or not, a fully grown hen can be found stretched out upon them. She might be a bit on the small side, but... yeah, that's an entire hen in the house.

...porch.. the view left to the southeast overlooks the large pond and path around it... looking southwest one can see a long road passing by several large paddocks before reaching the barn...

...a nice shallow inlet of the pond is closest to the house, a lovely little place for wading and letting pets play in...
|
...it doesn't seem all that deep, but from the far side it's hard to tell...
|
...the pond is fed by a slim creak on one side, and filters off into another small creek running along the road that intersects the house, and goes out to the barn... none of the livestock corrals have access to it for the sake of cleanliness downstream....

...pastures of various sizes scatter the land; equillion are in the paddock between the house and barn, easy to access as the working animals of the farm, whereas the livestock paddocks full of primarily murp are further away.. and more downwind... fenced off to the left of the road is the pond-fed creek ...
