Since they had never participated in a Toughness Tussle before, Silver wasn't so sure about how well their plan (or lack thereof) would go over. It wasn't quite like a beauty or magic show where they could go for the most dazzling display possible. Instead, they would have to show grit and toughness, something they weren't usually very good at. They did, however, know a creature that was the tiny embodiment of toughness. The scale-like plates embedded in her fur made a great visual to add to the story of her being virtually unshakable. Silver was always glad when their creature companion was small enough to carry. It was good for keeping them out of trouble. They approached the registration desk with Faye tucked under one arm. She didn't look particularly excited about the arrangement, but she wasn't too flustered either. She tended to be a very reserved creature which is another reason she was perfect for this show. "Ah, hello, I, I would like to, ah, register. For the Tussle. With Faye here. She's ah, she's a Jackaroo." They seemed more nervous than usual as they explained what they were trying to do. Contests were held quite regularly, which led to me including preparing for them in my schedule. At first, I was a bit stumped by the topic of the contest. It was not particularly easy to show how tough a creature was, especially without harming them. Regardless of whether or not it would even be allowed by the rules, I didn't fancy the idea of intentionally hurting one of my creatures for entertainment.
I could not think of a creature more resilient than a Lamadidron like Mercedes. The large gem-like plates that covered her body were perfect to display how tough she was. She was also very beautiful, and as much as judges tried to pretend otherwise, I knew that beauty always mattered when it came to something like this.
I made my way to the registration desk and said, "Greetings. My name is Star, and this is Mercedes. We are here to enter the Toughness Tussle." I refrained from adding an 'obviously' on the end of that sentence.

"Well, hello again!" Fiera said, approaching the front desk. She wasn't quite as prepared for this contest as she had been for many in the past, but to be fair, she hardly needed to be. When it came to toughness, that was something that lamadidron had in spades, and Lincoln was no exception. It had taken only minor tweaks to his training regime for him to be up to speed on this... though he was admittedly more of a battle pet than a contest pet. She could tie as many cute little ribbons on him as she wanted (and oh, how she wanted to, though ultimately decided against it for this particular crowd), but it wouldn't change the fact that he was a large, ornery creature with more metal plating than common sense... but perhaps that was what the judges were looking for. "I'm here to enter my copper lamadidron, Lincoln." (Note: Stone Skin and Tail Strike waiting for trick approval, will participate in the contest without it if they are not approved.)

Keeping a small white cub with black stripes pressed gently against her chest, she pets him contently, feeling his purring vibrate lightly against her chest. His tail half curled against her arm to keep it in place while she can’t help but think.
What has it been? A month? Perhaps three months ago that she last entered one? Maybe even longer ago? She wasn’t completely sure, but when she heard about this type of contest, she felt interested enough to enter with someone who likely appeals more to the crowd in a cute contest, then one about toughness. Yet..
Looking within the room that a few already signed up with their companion, she still feels like Killua might have a small shot at this. She did after all trained him to withstand the harsh nature around him, even though it wasn’t to the point like Rayak that he has an easier time now in winter. It still feels like it might be just enough to earn a couple of points at the least.
When the final person before her seems to be done registering their Lamadidron, she walks up to the desk, greeting the hostess.
“Hello Shayna, I am Twilight, and I like to sign up for the Toughness contest with Killua, an Mosca cub.” She says while scratching Killua behind the ear.
Twilight 0.1 – Logged Killua LV 7.1, LY 21.1
