If they couldn’t find anything to do, then why be at the Mansion? Jack really didn’t know what compelled her to be there, but whatever it was, she was done with it. She frowned though, something was holding her here for a little while longer, and she didn’t want to run Light off or anything unless she absolutely needed it. Giving a bit of an idea to herself, she stood up and wandered out into the yard again before looking up at the sky. It was dark, but just the clouds, which meant it was going to rain, she could feel it in her new leg. Everything would be fine as long as they got this trip and then the training finished before that, but maybe it would help the training sink in a little better whenever it happened. Jack just didn’t know what to do about things at the moment, but that was fine, she thought when she looked back at Light.

Yeah, still bored, she thought as she stood in the center of the yard with Light still on the porch. At least he was standing and watching her now, his ears somewhat perked as she looked at him. Maybe she was going crazy, it wouldn’t surprise him with how much had happened to her in her lifetime. She had explained some of it before, but it didn’t seem real, how did someone do all of that in one life? He shook his head and then sat down at the top step and barked loud and low, wondering if he should try and protect her from something, but it didn’t make much sense to him right now, considering he didn’t really know what he was trying to do for her. Jack was strange, but he might stick with her for awhile for whatever reason, it might be fun at least, he figured with another bark.

She smiled and waved at him when he barked, that wasn’t what he wanted, of course, her being able to understand him and all due to the ring, but that was what he was going to get. Jack just wasn’t sure what to do at the moment and really wanted to head home and ride out the storm that was coming, but figured it wasn’t going to work out that way in the long run. Whatever happened would happen, and if they walked home in a storm, so be it. Maybe at that point she would summon Kro and they would get a ride home, but she doubted she would end up doing that, she didn’t need to get another animal out in the storm at this point. Pushing her hair back, she kept an eye on Light as she surveyed the yard, looking for where the Wishing Well was at this point.

At this point she had enough bottled dreams to make three wishes, and that’s what she was going to do at this point, but she had to find it first. Jack called Light over to her and as he trotted over, she started to walk around the Mansion, wondering where the Wishing Well was and what she might get out of it. It was going to be exciting, she hoped, and she wondered what to do with everything as well. Jack wasn’t sure she really wanted to know right now, but that was fine at the same time, she liked surprises when it came to stuff like that, and the woman smiled a little with a chuckle. If anything, she liked them more than to expect what was happening, because where was the fun in all of that? Laughing a little to herself, she patted Light on the head in order to reassure him that she was fine.

As they walked, they finally found the Wishing Well and Jack stood outside of it for a moment or two. She had the bottles in her bag, but she didn’t know what to do with them right now. Sighing, she shook her head and sat down, leaning against the well as she wondered what to do. Light put his head in her lap and yawned, getting a little tired for just being a pup. It didn’t matter what happened, she just needed to figure out what to do at the moment, and maybe this was it but maybe it wasn’t at the same time. Shaking her head, she hoped she would be able to do something good eventually, but that was hard for her to come to terms with at the moment. Hopefully she could figure it all out eventually, but for now she would just be lost for a little while, and that was fine too, she supposed.

She hadn't been to the Mansion for a little while, so she figured it was time to go back now that it was a new month. This time, she had Leila at her side, the Golem needed quite a bit more experience before they could get ready for the tournament. Hopefully it wouldn't start without them, but she figured it might with the way she was procrastinating. Sighing, she didn't know what to do with things at the moment, but that was fine, she wasn't sure if she wanted to get into the tournament anyway after awhile. Sure, she wanted the points for the shop, but what was this going to do for her down the road anyway? She shook her head as she looked at Leila, the Golem was staring at a butterfly that had landed on her roots. Well, at least she wasn't killing this one, she supposed.

All it would take was a little flick from the Golem before the butterfly would be history, Jack had seen it happen already when they were working on the quest. Sighing a little, she shook her head and then looked at the Mansion. It was dark, but not gloomy, a perpetual night it seemed, which worked for her a little bit, she supposed. Leila wouldn't flourish as much during the night, but that was alright in the end of it all, she supposed. Shrugging to herself, she opened up the gate and stepped in, pulling on the leash for the Golem to follow her. Leila stared for a moment, vacant eyes still up into the air, but then dragged herself along behind the woman, wondering what they were going to do. She didn't think much, but when she did it was the simple things she thought of, which worked out for both of them.

Jack didn't need another highly intelligent Golem wandering around the Kennel, after all, and she frowned a little when she thought about it. There wasn't much she could do about things at the moment, but she really needed to get the Golem some experience before things got too far away. She wished she could get to the Gym before the tournament as well, but she needed to train the Golem up a bit or get her to like her quite a bit before they could head there. It was harder to earn a Golem's trust, but she figured it would be worth it in the end. They couldn't gain empathy either, which is why she had the Ribbon on Ix, but with Leila, she wasn't sure what to expect. Should she get some of it for the Autumnwood as well? Or should she just let things go and do what she needed to?

At least Golems made life interesting, she figured as they wandered around the grounds of the Mansion. She didn't know where to go, and didn't figure that Leila would want to go inside or even fit inside for that matter. Oh well, it didn't really matter in the long run, she supposed, and the woman chuckled a little as time went on. Everything would work out in the long run, she just had to believe in it, and she hoped that they wouldn't be late to the tournament. Entry was extended, apparently they'd only had one person enter so far and the deadline had been the day before, which was odd. Usually people were lining up for tournaments, but maybe this one was a bad idea on the people running the Lab's part. Whatever, they could handle it, she was oblivious to it all and didn't really even care in the long run.

Maybe she should look up the prices to a few things for the Golem at this point? It wasn't like it was completely out of the running for things, right? She sighed a little and shook her head, unsure of what she needed to do with life. As long as she had the Golem, however, it would all be fine at the end of it. Jack pushed her hair back and wondered what to do with herself, she didn't have the money at the moment to gear up her Golem, which was a bit of a shame, she figured with a chuckle. Oh well, she might do it later on, that would be the best idea at the moment, she decided as she looked at the lovely Golem. The flowers that grew along her roots shone brightly in the moonlight, and she hoped that they wouldn't fall off any time soon.

Oh October. It was a great time of year, she knew, and she smiled a little as she looked through the gate to the Mansion. While it had been quite some time since she had been here, it was about time to be here again, though she had a few good reasons as to why she hadn’t been here. Raising Houluh was no joke, and she had stopped visiting to focus on them for awhile. Right now she had something else to focus on though, a living fossil who needed her affection and some experience in order to grow. Grinning a little as Bigfoot poked his head out of her bag, she wondered if he would grow that much bigger after awhile. Hopefully he would be huge, she knew that was a possibility with everything she was feeding him, and she touched her bag for a moment to make sure she still had all the nutrients in there he would need to be fed as they wandered through the Mansion.

The little fossil was pleased at the moment though, he had her all to himself at the moment, no gargoyle in sight. Her original plan was to play with him in the mines until it was time to take him back to the museum, but at the moment, it had been a bit more believable to grow him in the Mansion. At least it wouldn’t be too bad at the moment, she just hoped she had something to do with him. Sighing, she wondered what was going to happen for awhile and all that. He would be magnificent when he grew, she knew that much, and she hoped that everything was going to go well for him. She was honestly a little stressed out, this was an issue for the moment, though she didn’t know what all to do right now. At least she had some idea of something, she’d brought him to the Mansion at least.

At least the Mansion was amazing in this month, she had to admit to that. Hopefully she would be able to get things together and find a bunch of stuff, though she didn’t know what to do for herself until then. Stepping through the gate, she smiled at the outside of the Mansion. It was dark and spooky, covered in thick cobwebs she could see from the street. There was a cemetery somewhere on the grounds and all the trees had thick, gnarled trunks and no leaves. Everything was dark and foreboding, and she loved it. Maybe it wasn’t quite her aesthetic, but that didn’t matter, everyone liked October and the beginnings of Vai Min Mur. That was all she could really think of at the moment, and she wondered if she would put something into the two contests that would run after a little while. They always ran a couple about now.
