All she could manage to do was chuckle for a moment or two while she watched the creature play with the yarn for a little while. She reached into her bag and pulled out another one, she could hold a lot of items in the bag after all, and tossed it at the creature as well, wondering what it would do. "You come with me you find a lot more to play with, kiddo," Jack told it with a smile on her face, reaching for another ball of yarn. She also had some gem shard necklaces if it was interested in pretty things, though she might save those for later on. Light wasn't sure about this thing, but he wasn't going to interfere, at least not yet. Maybe if it tried to hurt her he would, which disgusted him to no end, since when had he become soft for the Human? It was strange...

After playing with the yarn ball and quite frankly getting very twisted up in it (could creatures even twist the way that this one was?) the creature heard the individual's voice and tilted it's head, stopping for a second. The shiny things sure were quite shiny! With a bit of a moment, trying to figure out what it wanted to do. Would the shinies be worth it? The shinies might or might not be, but then again, going outside of the grounds would be worth it. The creature kicks the yarn off of it', and then picks the yarn up in it's mouth before trotting up to the human. Out? Yes?

Jack grinned as it untangled itself from the yarn and then helped it to wrap it all up again into their respective balls and tucked them away into her bag again. Standing up, she patted it on the head and stretched out as Light sniffed at it a little, wondering what they were going to do now. "You know the way out, kiddo?" the woman asked, gesturing toward where she thought the entryway to the maze was. The creature sniffed a little and then yipped and she and Light followed it toward the entrance to the maze. At least it seemed to understand what she had been asking, that was a good thing, and she smiled as she and Light followed it. Hopefully it was going to lead them out at least, not lead them to a worse area than there already was and all that. Jack pushed her hair back, that would be her luck.

All she could do was hope that it was going to be leading them in the right direction, and the woman smiled down at the pup as they followed it for awhile. Apparently they were further into the maze than originally thought, and it took awhile to get out, but they didn't hit any dead ends, surprisingly, which was great no matter what. Jack pushed her hair back and smiled at it, putting a hand on Light's head as they wandered through the whole place. Finally they hit the entrance and Jack stretched herself out. At least this thing was going to follow her for awhile, but she felt safer if she put a leash on it. She wasn't going to put that mistrust in it just yet, and she whistled and patted her leg as she started to walk, and it fell in alongside her until they reached home again.

It seems that there are some rather strange items, hidden only slightly from immediate view.

Maybe a little longer in the Mansion, she thought as they got to the gate again. She and Light had dropped the new creature off at the Kennel and wondered what they were going to do with it for a moment or two before heading back out. Typically she would just get to training, but she still wasn’t too sure she knew what she wanted to teach him, so she figured she would figure it out while they were in the Mansion and all would be well. Sure, it was her least favorite place to be, but that didn’t really matter all that much, she had gotten some good loot the last time she was here, not the least was the new pet she had, which she needed to figure out what to do with this time. There were too many animals in the Kennel and not enough time to do things with them.

It was just hard for her to come back to the Mansion after how long they had been there before, so she really didn’t know what to do at this point. She had found a lot of the same things the last time they were here, and she glanced down at Light as she thought about it. Some of them she was going to sell, of course, but she wasn’t sure if she should do that yet or not. Maybe she should see if anyone was willing to trade their things for hers, but she wasn’t going to hold her breath for that either. Jack smiled a little and pushed her hair back, hoping that it was all going to work out for her, but she didn’t know if that would be good or bad at this point. Maybe people were a little intimidated by her somehow, though she didn’t know, maybe they wouldn’t trade with her.

It used to surprise her that people were intimidated by her, but at the same time, it really didn’t anymore, which was good. She did a lot around the Labs, which was great at the same time, and she hoped that eventually she would be able to figure out what to do with all the experience she had gained. She wanted to travel, of course, but wasn’t sure what to expect with things just yet. She doubted they would open up the Beyond anytime soon, but that was something she wasn’t going to worry about right now. That had been a major goal for her for quite some time, though, so it was hard for her to just ignore something that had been there for so long. Oh well, it wasn’t like she could really push for it too much, as much as she wished she could at this point.

Light was confused as to why they were back when she didn’t like it much here, she had told him herself that much. He shook his head, a very human like movement, before following her into the yard again and wondering what they were going to do this time. Maybe they would just sit on the porch again and watch some of the animals play around in the yard, that would be nice enough for this time. It seemed that was what they were going to do, however, since she started heading toward the porch of the Mansion and all that. Jack smiled a little, wondering what to do with things at the moment, and she hoped that everything would work out in the long run and all that. Whatever, it didn’t matter much at the moment, and that was fine, she just hoped she and Light would be alright together no matter what.

As they got to the porch, the woman sat down and patted the seat next to her on the swing. Light shook his head, yet another human like gesture, and laid down at her feet, putting his head on his front paws. He was stretched out, getting bigger every day it seemed, and she smiled a little as she wondered what he would look like all grown up, what his pups might look like as well. She had a lot of red pups, and she was getting a little tired of it, though they were all lovely, she really wanted a variety. It wasn’t like she could influence anything in the breedings though, and that was a shame, but that was alright at the same time. Jack smiled and reached down to put a hand on the pup’s head, ruffling his ears around a little as he laid there. It annoyed him a little, but that was fine at the same time, and she wondered what to do with him when he was fully grown.

There was so much she needed to get done, she just didn’t feel like doing it right now. Spending time with Light was on the list at least, so at least she was getting that much done. Soon they would go to train, and she knew what to teach him now, so that much was finished up, she just had to teach him now. Jack pushed her hair back and leaned back against the back of the swing, wondering what to do in the Mansion this time. It didn’t make much sense, but at the same time she was sure she saw movement out in the middle of everything. Smiling, she leaned forward again and whistled, wondering if it would come out into the open if she did so. That didn’t work, however, and so she was left to simply sit there in silence with her Houluh, wondering if she should be training him right now as it was.

While she sat there, hand on Light’s head for a little while to make sure he was still there, she supposed, she knew that she just needed one more remnant crystal in order to make another node, and there were people out there who were willing to do it for her at this point. Of course getting them the items and getting it back was a little odd, giving them raw materials and being handed a node in return was strange, keeping a bit of someone else’s soul, after all, but oh well, she put them to good use. She still wished she had enough to make an order node, but until that happened she would have to be alright with another hollow, there was plenty of magic to make it happen, after all! Jack grinned a little and shook her head, she would never know all of the magic there was, but she could still try, right?

All along the fence of the Mansion’s yard, there were colorful bottles, but she had enough right now, she really didn’t need to get any more of them. Smiling, she wondered what she would wish for this time, as a few little black motes floated by her and the pup. Light wasn’t sure what to do with them, but that was fine at the same time, he didn’t need to do anything with them right now after all. Jack was there for him, and he needed to stick with her for awhile to make sure everything was going to be alright. Sure, it would work out in the long run, but nothing was going to work out if they didn’t at least try, and that was the part they had to focus on. Whatever happened would happen, and there was nothing she could do to stop it. What if she got sick or something? There wasn’t all that much she could do about it.

Whatever happened, she would be there for it though, she was going to be fine and so was everyone else. There were rumors of something going around, but no way to test for it. Most people got better, however, and that was a good sign. She wished she could come up with something for it, but wasn’t sure what to expect from them right now. Oh well, she didn’t have the proper ingredients or the right amount to start experimenting for a cure, so she would just have to struggle with the idea of it for awhile. Maybe once her stockpile grew, then things would be fine at this point. Whatever, it didn’t matter to her that things were growing odd, but at the same time, it was going to be great when she realized Light was staying with her of his own free will, no leash or anything right now.

Light was concerned with himself as he laid next to her on the floor of the porch. He wasn’t bound to her by anything, yet he was sticking around, enjoying her presence even it seemed. A frown crossed his muzzle and he hoped that everything would be fine for now, but at the same time, it didn’t really matter what he thought, at least things were working out in the long run and that was all that mattered. Jack sighed a little and rubbed Light’s head again, hoping that he wasn’t going to run off anytime soon. It would be a tragedy, of course, and that meant that nothing else could happen right now. Pushing her hair back, she hoped she could keep hold of all of her Houluh, but wasn’t sure of what the issue would be when it was all said and done. Maybe she had to figure out what to do before she figured the rest out.
