We've got a few quality of life changes that have happened over the past couple of weeks up to today that I seem to have forgotten to mention. Sorry for the forgetfulness! -Labs Sign Language is a new canon language. It uses fingers entirely in communication, and does not necessarily require thumbs. (LSL) (It was a sign language developed entirely inside the labs city; meant to be used by all nonspeaking, deaf, or hard of hearing peoples, even those without thumbs) -Labs Sign Language can be taught to pets with sentience of 5 or higher, Only to pets with articulate fingers (ask a mod first every time). There is a trick for it now. -Pets of sentience 5 or higher can now learn to read, there is a trick for it. -Pets of sentience 5 or higher that appear to have thumbs in the art (ask a mod first every time) are now allowed to learn how to write, there is a trick for it. -Yes, your deaf/mute/any really character can choose LSL as their native language; but remember that only people that know LSL can understand you. -LSL uses 'common' as it's base written language; so if your character takes LSL as a native language, you can read common. -Remember that your character has to know how to communicate using LSL in order to teach it to their pets! -LSL now has a book in the The Dusty Scroll. It matches the other language books, but instead of teaching you foreign script, it teaches you the 'foreign' language LSL. -Books have been changed how they work in the Dusty Scroll; read it carefully (It's a good change, you'll like it- and it shouldn't hurt anyone that's already used books- this change was made today.) I'll come back if I remember anything else. Have fun teaching your sentient+ beings that couldn't before how to communicate. It'll take a lot of work!
Edit: NEW Jobs have been added.

Courtesy of Darky; Kapper has done it again! The Tinker's Trinkets is selling a new line of robots that will make your daily life much easier! The Personal Assistant Droid (PAD) can act as a butler, while the Combat Assistant Droid (CAD) is here to help you train for battle! They cannot be trained (and cannot train your pets), and they don't have the neural link of the TROD, but they certainly have use! Please read their uses carefully, these aren't like the TROD.Are the metal-tones of the standard models not quite what you are looking for? For double the price, you can buy one with a Custom Paintjob! For these, Renathan will be doing the colors, Darky did the files. These work like past Robot recolors in that they have charts (linked in the Tinker's Trinkets thread) in which you can pick colors for the parts that are colored in.* *When ordering the custom paintjob please give me the exact RGB or HEX code for the color you desire for each part! It makes it easier for me since what I think looks good as a red may not be what you wanted in a red! Also, if you send me pure black or pure white (000000 or FFFFFF) I will be using a softer black or white so that the shading and highlights show up. Also note that I won't be adding any extra markings to these, and the Liquid Lance on the CAD cannot have it's colors changed.
Also, I just realized, you can send me pictures of colors and I'd be cool with that!
EDIT: The Robots have stats now. Custom Paintjobs do not get custom stats.

The New Quest for this month is up!
Reminder: Each month will get a new quest up on the first as long as I'm not too busy to get it fixed up. Some months it might come up a bit early, especially when I start school back (next month). :3
I don't suggest trying to run up against the deadline this month because this is the first Hard quest! It'll be a bit more difficult to get a success folks, good luck!

Remember these things from the first ever quest? They have a use! (That has been planned for a long time.) - When used in an Orbaru Breeding along with the 'Male Berry' found in the Nature Bounty shop, the prize-winning radish will turn the resulting male baby's Tail Orb the color/s of the radish used! This resulting tail orb color does not affect eye color in the baby, but WILL work like any other tail orb during future breedings the male baby may have. The colors that wind up on the tail orb of the male will be of the color that the radish is (Blue, Purple, Pink, or Red) but it might be a slightly different type of that color. ;3 Each radish item can only be used once; when you use yours in the breeding, it is gone! - ...Oh, did you miss out on getting one? The Quest Shop is actually selling them for quest points now!In addition; New Orbaru Breeding Items-
Radishes are a breeding item for use with Orbaru. You can use 1 Fruit and 1 Radish per orbaru breeding!
The two above radishes are the v1 Radish and the v2 Radish; use one of these on your orbaru breeding and we can guarantee that all babies in the breeding will be on the v1 or v2 Linearts if the babies are 'born' in their mature/final form. These are found in the Nature's Bounty shop!
-
TL;DR- Radishes can be used at 1 per on an orbaru breeding.

The Ominous Booping that could be heard in the distance yesterday have been thoroughly researched, and now we have results! Turner has done it again; with a careful breeding project and the permission of the breeding center, he is proud to bring you: The Rainbow Ribbon Orbaru! Your cries for v1 orbaru have been heard and responded to, Turner is so proud to have found out how to consistently produce these gorgeous triple-glows from his own pairs and using his own items. They can be found for a pretty high price at Nature's Bounty! The males have a nice Cyan-Yellow-Magenta fade to them with a pearlescent orb, and the females are blessed with a pale sunset of a fade. In addition, Turner has found out that his Radishes were not exactly as palatable as possible to Orbaru. While the ones that are currently out there are 100% usable, he has produced a much more palatable breeding additive. You may use one 'Fruit' and one 'Berry' per breeding. I know we tend to go back and forth on what they are called in the general populace, but when in doubt just check the Nature's Bounty listing for them. :3 The v1 and v2 'radishes' have been converted to v1 and v2 Berries! If you currently have a v1 or v2 radish, you may switch them for these or use them as-is, either is cool. The 'prize winning' radishes tasted a lot better, and are staying as-is. ;3 - Moving on from the Nature's Bounty, and onto Quests! The Questing Inquisitor has found received a new small set of stock! We know that you have seen the Stray Orbaru running around the Quest Board; those little critters are impossible to catch! There must be a breeding pair or two (or five) out near there, and no one knows where they came from at all! For a steep price; Jolyne may just sell you one of the ones she has managed to befriend, it would seem that they take well to the stern lady (and the food she leaves out for them). In addition, the Questing Shop likes to work with the other sellers in town to pick up new and unique stock; thus a partnership with Turner was born! The Twin berry is a berry that can be added to orbaru breedings when paired with a baby fruit. What does it do? You'll just have to read the blurb to find out! They are only produced pretty rarely by Turner's regular v1 and v2 plants, so they aren't reliable enough for him to keep them for stock. Jolyne snaps them up whenever possible to sell for Quest Points! - With all of this booping, we may forget things! I would highly suggest that people use the Contests more in the future! ;3 Check out the Contest Hall! - Read the tutorial!Even if you don't think you'll win, there are still good reasons to join in the fun~ - (The ominous booping continues...)

As a preamble; the New Quest for the Month is up! Do enjoy the more laid-back 'medium' challenge as compared to last month. :3 I know I will!
- As we all well know, the Mansion has been a little... Skippy the last few years, some months overstaying their welcome, and others being completely un-special! We'd like to announce that the Mansion, with any luck, will have the missing things added in over the next year. Already, Darky added a few items for last month that you probably saw if you are a Mansion-Explorer! August has never really had much going for it but August is now completely stocked and ready to rumble this month!-Courtesy of Darky; there are new and strange creatures roaming during the Low-Tide month of August! -Also Courtesy of Darky; this month has new and exciting things to find! -Courtesy of Ashe; there is a new explanation in the Mansion's monthly theme thread for the Low-Tide month of August! -The monthly '6 collectible' item in the wishing well has had it's effect placed in the 'Special Items' thread of the Custom Items Stats area, as is customary. -The next Creatures for this month's Mansion have stats in the Mansion creature stats thread. - Alrighty folks! Go have some fun; and expect some of the previously skipped months in the mansion to be less empty in the future! ;3 We've got lots planned! <3

The Vernal Herbarium (Plantification) is now OPEN!This is the 'Plantification' area of the Dark Corners that was hinted at by Darky a long while back; it will work the exact same as all of the other Dark Corners areas! Please check it out if you love plant critters for sure. A roleplay and the magical coin(s) are required for this service, like all of the other Dark Corners areas. If you are confused about how these things normally work, feel free to look at some of the other Dark Corners areas' roleplays. - Check out the new ability given to pets altered by the Herbarium! Botanical Growth The creature was enhanced at the Vernal Herbarium, and now appears to be a little more plant than flesh in some ways. This creature has Earth Resistance due to the alterations. This creature cannot attack (or be attacked by) any other creature with this ability. Creatures with this ability are also considered to have a "chlorophyll", in addition to heightened sensitivity to tremors. Only creatures botanically enhanced in the Vernal Herbarium can have this ability. Passive - Untrainable - Reminder: If you don't have any Magical Coins; you can pick them up at the Trepuldra. If you have Magical Coins from forever ago; those are still usable! Reminder 2: Darky does all of the artwork for the Dark Corners, the NPC posts for the roleplays are done by a mod, and the stats that are given to you are made in concert by the team and you are not allowed to complain about the stats that are given to you. These are what was required to get the Dark Corners brought back to the site. Thank you for being understanding! EDIT: I almost forgot to mention, Darky actually did basically all of the legwork for Plantification; Thank you a ton Darky! (Note that as per usual, custom Tat-lungs are make-your-own stats within the rules given and that is not changed.)

There are some new items stocking in some of the shops, as well as the Contest Hall Prize Shop! As an overview; The Contest Hall Prize Shop is has quite a few new lovely prizes in the regular section, including this lovely chess set. As well as in the Contest-Champion only section- which now has some fancy weaponry! There are quite a few, go check them out! There is now an item stocking in the Supply and Demand that can 'proof' an equipment piece for a certain element, if you are having trouble with a pet that excretes an element bodily and would tear through gear. It is costly, and 1 dose only covers 1 image, but it is really worth it for pets with issues wearing equipment. (Does NOT work with Ethereal or anything like that, but does work with Acid, Electrical, Flame, or Cold body- elements that would tear up equipment easily.)The Heavy Hammer has a handful of new Weapons stocking in it! That should about cover it! The artist for these items is FieraFerella; give her a big round of applause!
