Murr stood patiently while he made his choice, and then nodded, reaching out to take the puppy from him. All care was given - she only wanted to ensure the baby felt healthy. Cacao led them back to the front desk, where the puppy was put into a basket and the documents were finalised. "Pup N will go to Red Roost Ranch with Aubrey. Please let us know if you cannot fulfil your obligations to this pup."

He had done what he'd set out to do with that last pup. She was in Nadia's hands now, and she had been trained up pretty well by him, if he said so himself. Grinning from ear to ear, he hoped he wasn't coming back too early to pick up that pup who had caught his eye the time before, and hopefully Murr would let him take it home with him. Already he had a name for the pup, which worked for either a boy or a girl really, and that was that, he was hooked. Now he just had to make sure he got this one's training out in time as well, and that was an issue...
Stepping into the building, he smiled brightly and walked over to the counter, picked up a form, and, sticking his tongue out a little, started scratching down what he knew to write on the form. "Hey there, I'm back for another pup, I trained up the other one pretty well I think, and it's time to get one for myself," he said, finishing up the paperwork and sliding it across the counter.

Murr hummed an affirmative. It was good, that the puppies were getting new homes quickly. Even better was hearing that their training had progressed well. "Thank you. Follow me." She stood from the desk and allowed Cacao to escort her to the back room. "Take your time."

Giving a smile, Obsidion followed her into the back and looked at the pups. They were in various stages of puppyhood it seemed, and he smiled a little when he looked at them, watching some of them wander and some of them nap for a little. One hopped over to the gate and he reached down to scratch at it's nose in between the wires of the kennel. Things would be fine at the same time, he knew, things would work out with this one, this is the one he wanted, this was the one he remembered.
The man nodded and then stood up again, "This one, Puppy D please." Yep, things would work well for him, and he knew that it would all work out in the end. He would train this one up and then... what, anyway? What did one do with a grown Houluh. It was alright, he would figure it out, right?

Murr felt over the kennel signs for the braille that indicated Pup D, and then reached in to pull them out, cradling them in the crook of her arm. "Pup D will go with Obsidion of Black Stone Kennel." Off Cacao went, leading her back to the desk, for the puppy to be put into a basket. "Please let us know if you cannot fulfil your obligations to this pup. Thank you."

Puppies, for all their popularity with humans, were not something Nerius had much experience with. The majority of his critters were either large beasties, plant-like, or magically inclined. Houluh were none of these, but they were known for being designed to learn commands well, and being a prominent feature of the Contest Hall. Nerius had wanted to compete more, but many times he found he simply didn't have a suitable creature, and a houluh seemed like an excellent solution. That, and, well, they were cute. Nerius had seen a few as they were being picked up from the Breeding Center, when he'd been there with other creatures of his own. Somewhat to his surprise, the pups were adopted from elsewhere, so here he was, visiting the adoption agency. There were no pups immediately visible, but he did spot the obviously placed front desk, and the.. person.. mammalian? behind it. He was vaguely reminded of something, but that thought aside for now, he had a purpose being here. The forms were quite obviously meant to be filled out, and Nerius neatly filled out the information. "Hello, I'm interested in adopting a puppy."

Murr nodded, and filed the papers away tidily, giving Cacao the signal to guide her to the back room. "Of course. Please follow me." She made her way with her houluh to the kennels, and stood alongside them. "Take your time. Let me know when you have chosen."

"Thank you," Nerius nodded, and followed Murr and their houluh to the back room. There were quite a lot of them, given that he knew they were from different litters. That was clear to look at them too, they had such a variety of colors and patterns. Coat types too, one pup was unusually fluffy, Nerius had never seen a long haired houluh before. He paused for a moment in front of that one's kennel, considering that pup for its unusual coat alone.
But he wasn't going to choose before seeing more of the puppies, and so he moved on. They were all cute, but in the end it was a speckled brown one (that reminded him of a fancy cup of coffee) that caught his interest the most. Nerius knelt down for a better look, and the puppy approached, curious about this new person. "Hello there," Nerius greeted the puppy, using the same tone he used to talk to his plants, warmer and less stiffly formal than his usual way of speaking. It wasn't the high pitched tone humans liked to use, but the pup didn't seem to mind, and wagged its tail at the attention.
The kennel, in addition to holding an adorable puppy, also had information on the puppy. The breeders and parents were listed, important for tracking genealogy, but he wasn't familiar with the houluh scene to recognize the names. More immediately useful, it also had the ID of the pup, "I would like to adopt puppy M, if that's alright."

Murr was quick to acquiesce, and allowed Cacao to lead her to the correct kennel, to pick up the puppy and take it to the front desk. "Pup M will go with Nerius of Frostwind Estate. Please let us know if you cannot fulfil your obligations to this puppy." With that, they were free to go!

> Xentus, alone.
A kennel with only a single puppy was a rather sad sight, wasn't it? Sure, the cute little pup had the company of the vulti and rakai, but it didn't quite fit in with either canine. He decided it needed a playmate of its own kind. Since it would be a while until he could exchange his contest earnings for another houluh, the adoption center seemed like an excellent choice for finding a new furry friend. Xentus patiently waited for his turn to be attended, thumbing through a magazine to pass the time. This one was of full of advertisements for the contest hall, pet supply shops, and the like. But there were also interesting stories of the most recent houluh shows and interviews of the winners. It looked like an interesting venture to undertake.. So it was decided. He was going to raise a few houluh, get them in the show ring, and see where it might go.
Before long, it looked like it was his turn at the counter. The leopard gathered things and form, then made his way to the desk, offering forth a pleasant smile to the attending uthrax. "Greetings. Xentus is looking to adopt", he started, "He represents Aeternum Estate. Ah.. It is new to the scene." His kennel was registered some time ago, but he'd only recently gotten his own houluh pup. How useful this information was for the attendant, he didn't know. But he figured it was polite to give them enough information to establish himself as a suitable foster.

Murr hummed her understanding and stood, with a gesture for the adopter to follow her. “Certainly. This way, please.” It wasn’t a long walk back to the puppies - the uthax stood alongside the ever watchful Cacao and waited. “Take your time with your decision.”

The leopard nodded and followed after Murr to the back where the puppies were. "Much appreciated", he said with with a friendly smile before allowing himself to peruse the ones available for adoption. Oh, it seemed there were a handful of puppies to choose from. The sight of the cute little things warmed his heart. Choosing was going to be difficult, he could already tell.
The first houluh he came up to had a solid liver brown coat, sleeping next to its food bowl. While it was cute, he decidedly didn't want to wake it from its slumber. The leopard continued on toward the sound of tiny yips, perusing each pen and the puppy within, before coming to stop at the pen of a cloudy black and tan puppy. It seemed to have longer fur than the others, draping off its floppy ears and tail. The pup yipped excitedly at the presence of a person, tail wiggling happily. An hushed 'aww' escaped the man as he leaned down and offered for it to sniff his hand. Instead, he received wet, warm licks assaulting his palm. Oh it was much too cute. While he considered himself a tamer of great beasts, the tiny ones were really starting to grow on him. "Well, aren't you just a charming little one", he gently cooed to it, taking the time to wrestle the hand-sized creature with his hand, "Fuzzy too." He chuckled softly, letting the playful pup nip at his fingers. While playing, he took a glance at its information and took a mental note.
Once he was finished playing with the puppy, the leopard returned to the uthax to state his choice, "This one takes interest in adopting Puppy O. It is quite the lively one."

Murr stood and waited patiently, giving Cacao the occasional head scratch. Once the choice was made, she took the puppy, delicate as ever, and went to the front room. “Pup O will go with Xentus of Aeternum Estate. Please let us know if you cannot fulfil your obligations to this puppy.”

After finding himself in a random place that he didn't remember jack shit about, but somehow had made a life here at one point. Kadin didn't have a whole lot that was just... his. He'd started to take to wandering the city, his feet leading him around what was apparently regular routes that he didn't actively remember walking before. Something in his gut kept him away from the residential areas, but today he'd stumbled across something... new. It was an adoption agency. He'd seen another one like it before, in a different part of the city, but something told him that he'd never been in this one before. Maybe it was the novelty, but for some reason he found himself walking through the door and looking around. Apparently it was some adoption agency for houluh, or whatever. And maybe it would be nice to have something that was just... just his. Not related to his past. And that was how Kadin found himself walking up to the next, nodding to the person behind it, and filling out a form. "Hello," Murr said happily when she heard someone enter, the Houluh she cared for were truly being adored it seemed, and though some had been there longer than others, they were finding good homes. "Please fill out the form and then we can take a look at the puppies."
