It was no surprise to come across wildlife while out in the woods, but Sevyrn had not expected the wildlife she came across to be so placid and friendly - perhaps she should have expected differently considering not one or even two but three estharne had wandered out of the woods to make a home out of her own. Truly wild creatures were rare to come across, though - almost every animal found outside of captivity could be traced back to one escaped from someone who had cared for it or the labs themself. She was seeing more and more wildlife out and about these days, though - nature was taking over again, even within the confines of the city.
Sevyrn enjoyed that, but being close to nature was also why she had chosen to live on the outskirts of town where she could have woods in her back yard and nature all around her.

Sevyrn loved all felines - she loved almost all animals in general, of course - but something about mosca just made her weak. She had one back at the kennel, Rachet, that she’d head for years. More recently, she had come to care for several older unique-looking adults of the species. Now, part of her felt like she was about to add another to the collection - this girl seemed so sweet and like she would be easy to convince to take home, Sevyrn crouched down as the mosca neared her so that she would be more on the creature’s level. Elara hovered close behind her, seeming to be protective of the human already despite how little thing they had spent together, yet the estharne did give the pair some space to meet each other.
“Well aren’t you a sweetheart,” Sevyrn said after the mosca meowed at her, moving in close to rub its cheek against the side of her arm.

It was only moments later that the pure white mosca started to purr, prancing around Sevyrn’s form for a few seconds before she remembered that there was someone else here - the mosca’s head turned dramatically towards the other feline and then she meowed at Elara before prancing towards the estharne with quick but dainty paw steps. Elara let out a low warning grumble but the mosca paid that no heed - Sevyrn’s anxiety shot up at that, as Elara could probably make easy work of the much smaller mosca if she so decided and Sev did not plan on being part of a bloodbath today. That single growl was all the estharne let out, though, and the mosca stopped just short of the bigger smokey cat. She leaned in slowly, investigating the estharne, and Elara leaned in to check out the mosca as well. After a moment, their noses touched.

Somehow, just like that, the two felines were friend - the mosca let out a chirpy meow and Elara let out a lower pitched one in return before the two started to play around with each other, frolicking along the underbrush. No matter how big the feline, they all acted the same sometimes - playful and adventurous. Sevyrn kept a close eye on the pair as they danced around in play for a few moments, before suddenly the mosca changed her pace - she turned away from the estharne and started to pad deeper in to the woods. Before disappearing she turned towards her pair of new friends, as if to urge them to follow along behind her.
“What do you think, Elara? Do we follow her?” She asked the estharne - in return Elara brushed up against her before padding after the snow-white creature they were getting to know. That seemed to be a yes.

Sevyrn was curious where this adventure would lead her - first Elara had lead her to that sweet little clearing not far from her home where she had met this pretty little thing, and now this mosca seemed to be luring them deeper in to the depths of the woods. For what, she had to wonder? Sev, as much as she loved her ventures, had always stuck closer to the edge of the forest lest she end up getting herself lost… that wasn’t exactly the dream after all. It was kind of risky, venturing this far in - but she trusted her gut and so far her gut was saying that they would be able to find their way back just fine. If anything Elara would know her way through the woods better, and the estharne seemed quite set on sticking around Sevyrn and the others… for now, at least. Sev still wasn’t sure what to think of any of the beasts she had come across lately.

It wasn’t long before Sevyrn could hear the gentle babble of water in the distance - she assumed it was related to the creek that ran along the side of her property somehow, though this stream seemed stronger than that little creek. Eventually the source came in to sight - water fell off a stony ledge to form a small two-foot high waterfall. The mosca sped up her pace as they got closer, and stopped at the edge of the water to dip her maw in for a drink. Elara seemed to think that the white beast had quite a good idea, as the estharne trodded forward until she was at the mosca’s side. Sevyrn slowed her pace, knowing that for at least a moment the trio would be at rest. Was this where the mosca was trying to lead them, though, or was this just a stop along the way?

There was a nice spot for a person to be able to settle in to nearby, where Sevyrn could rest atop a slab of rock at the shore line. She let out a sigh as she pressed her hands to the cold stone behind her, leaning against her own support to tilt her head up towards the sky. She closed her eyes and basked in the wilderness for just a minute, taking several deep breaths and letting her mind wander for just a moment. It wasn’t long before her attention was pulled back to the world around her by silky fur pressing against her arm, and when Sevyrn opened her eyes that sweet white mosca had come to say hello to her. Sev shifted her weight on to one hand so that she could reach towards the feline with the other, enjoying that she seemed to want human company.

Elara was near by as well, hovering close - she seemed to have grown comfortable with the mosca so easily, getting closer to her than she had any other creature so far. Elara hadn’t even been this friendly with the other estharne, and Sevyrn had imagined that they had known each other. Maybe she was wrong - maybe she was right, but they weren’t even vaguely close. Now, though, she was wondering if these two may have known each other. They already seemed like close friends - affectionate and close, following after each other like it was simply natural. Sevyrn could appreciate a good, easy bond.
“This is a nice little spot, huh?” Sevyrn asked the sweet thing, running her fingers through the mosca’s soft fur. She loved it, that the feline was as soft to the touch as she had looked from first sight. “I might have to come out here again sometime.”

As she sat there with the two felines she had to wonder if she really would be able to find this spot if she followed the creek flowing beside her house - it would be worth trying sometime, and she wouldn’t even need company to do so because if she didn’t find what she was looking for, then she would simply be able to follow the creek back down to her house. She also had to wonder what waited farther up the river, beyond that little waterfall that the cats had stopped to take a drink at. There would likely be some kind of lake feeding the little river at some point, which could potentially be a nice place to drag Quinn out to for a camping and fishing trip some time before it got too cold.
With that in mind, Sevyrn figured that there was no time like the present to venture farther.

“What do you think?” Sevyrn asked like she’d said anything about what was on her mind - it didn’t matter anyways, really, it wasn’t like these guys would understand every word that she said and even if they could they had no way to respond to her. The mosca took a seat right next to her, so close that she was putting her weight on to Sev’s arm, and after letting out a chuckle the young woman wrapped her arm around the feline’s back. The mosca let out a chirpy meow and at the same time Elara moved in closer, curious about the noises coming from both the girl and the mosca beside her.
“Should we head up the river, El? See if we can find ourselves a lake somewhere?” Sevyrn grinned at the bare-skulled feline before giving the mosca a scratch and then letting her go.

Sev stumbled as she got to her feet, nearly falling forward in to the river - luckily even if she had fallen right over it was shallow. She’d never been known for her grace and just appreciated that no one (human) had been around to see her nearly go face first in to a foot of water. After regaining her composure, she glanced to each of her feline companions with wide eyes. “You guys saw nothing,” she said to them as she stepped away from the shore, ready to start the trek up the river. She elected to go around the little drop-off that formed the water fall rather than trying to hoist herself up over it - too much a risk of hurting herself, given who she was, and it was also probably earlier on her feline companions.
… Who was she kidding - those two cats could probably jump higher than she stood tall if they felt like it.

Sevyrn highly enjoyed the babble of moving water, it was the perfect backdrop for her casual stroll turned adventure. She couldn’t say she’d expected the day to bring her to where she was now but she wasn’t arguing - however, pretty soon she really would have to head back. For now, though, she was committed to seeing if she could find a pond or lake or something that she could call ‘in her back yard’ (even though the deep woods were far off of her property).
The mosca seemed to know what was up and padded on ahead, while Elara stuck close to Sevyrn’s side. Elara seemed to want to hang back by the woman, however, and Sevyrn was able to bump her shoulder against the feline’s here and there as they wandered side by side. The two would become good friends, in time. Sev could just tell.

There was another who took to the running water, lapping it up just a few yards away. Pearly eyes looked on, warily cautious, but otherwise calm, unbothered by the girl and the other. It too must have harbored some kind of inkling of curiosity, for the feline to be so out in the open..!

There it was, not far ahead - Sevyrn didnt see it at first but as soon as the fluffy white Mosca bounded ahead a bit faster she had to look and see what was going on. It seemed there wasn't another feline wandering these woods, this one black as a starless night with that same bright golden crescent mark on his head. The white mosca let out a chirpy meow and purred as it got close enough to rub against the black cat. He pulled away from the drinking source and looked towards the group who had showed up - cautious and yet curious, more reserved than the other feline similar to it yet also not afraid.
The woods were teaming with wildlife today, it seemed - that alone made it well worth the adventure, Sevyrn loved to see the animals in their natural habitats, existing in the ways that were right for them.
