The black cat recoiled as soon as Sevyrn stepped forward - maintaining the amount of distance between them that there was rather than increasing it. Sevyrn saw that for what it was and stilled in her tracks, as she didn't wish to scare him off. The esthatne behind her couldn't help the situation much either - Elara was huge and could seem quite intimidating, especially with that flame-smoke shrouded boney skull of hers. She couldn't blame the stranger for being cautious about what was going on.
"Stay here," Sevyrn said to Elara, though she was unsure whether or not the eatharne would listen to what she had requested as Sevyrn had not had any time to properly train her anything at all. That posed the risk of being ignored, but Sev could live with that - she just hoped that if Elara didn't understand what she wanted, the black cat wouldn't run off.

Sevyrn crouched so that she was lower to the ground, standing no taller than the mosca himself - she was doing what she could to look the least threatening as possible, and hoped that effort would in turn show the silky black beast that she was friend rather than foe. It was clear to her that he needed more time than his snow-white friend had to grow comfortable with them. The snowy mosca meowed at the male and he vocalize back, almost like they were having a conversation.
Meanwhile, Sevyrn hovered in the background of their existence. Elara had not moved from where she stood, though that was likely of her own accord. Sev reached towards the thick-furred feline at her side and ran her fingers through the beasts deep red fur. "I feel like everyone knows each other around here except me," she joked to the estharne as she watched the pair of mosca.

The woman let out a little, almost stressed, giggle and then watched the black mosca in front of her closely - she once again wanted to try moving in closer to him but she didn’t want to push limits and make him run away. The white mosca was still hovering close to him, though the pair had stopped their little “conversation”, and Elara stood close to Sevyrn.
“Hey - if you’re cool with it, I’d really like to come meet you,” Sevyrn said to the black beast. She didn’t dare to move in towards him until after he showed signs that he was starting to warm up to her - instead she elected to reach her arm out towards him. He didn’t dare to move a muscle towards him, but that sweet snow white girl next to h I’m seemed quite happy to take the attention for herself.

The white mosca padded over to Sevyrn so happy - it seemed that she thought Sev was seeking her attention. They were friends already, after all - it only made sense that the woman would want her around and not the stranger. The white mosca let out a chirp-like meow as she reached the human and ducked around the back of Sevyrn’s body, rubbing her side against the human all the way. Sev couldn’t even be upset about it - this little kitty had quite the adorable personality and she loved it. Sev would be lying if she tried to say she hadn’t already fallen in love with this mosca, like she had the trio of estharne who had come to meet her not long before.
Only moments later, the mosca moved away from her body and towards Elara, at which point she snuggled up with the estharne in the same way as she has Sevyrn.

Sevyrn loved the bond that was forming (or had already formed?) between Elara and the mosca - it seemed that the two would be the best of friends in time, sticking with each other until the end. They would hopefully love what their new home was like, provided that they chose to stay with her - or perhaps they would remain wild animals, with the freedom to come and go as they pleased. Maybe that would be what they wanted… they were, after all, creatures from the wild rather than tame animals she was adopting from the labs or the adoption agency or even buying off another citizen of the city. It was hard to understand what the expectations were, there.
It would take time before the kennel expansion was ready, anyways, so over the next little while Sevyrn would come to see what these interesting felines would want to do with their lives.

With the white mosca focused on Elara, Sevyrn was free again - and she turned her attention back to the black being that was nearby. The female's show of affection seemed to have caught his attention - he seemed to have a level of trust in her and she seemed to have a level of trust in Sevyrn and Elara. That did not mean that he trusted the pair himself, but it did mean that he felt a touch more comfortable around them than he would have otherwise.
... If it wasn't for the fact that these creatures seemed so comfortable with the own, the black mosca likely would have run off as soon as he heard the crunch of autumn leaves approaching in the distance. It was the vaguely familiar smell or feline - mosca specifically - that he considered trustworthy enough to stick around.
The girl's treatment of the lanky woman made him wonder.

He crept forward, glowing golden gaze locked on Sevyrn as he did so. Every movement was slow and deliberate, an action calculated in his head to to make sure that he was making the right choice approaching her. At any second he could pull back and run away but he didn't. Occasionally his glance would flicker to the two felines behind her, Elara and the mosca still focused on each other in the background. All the while Sev did not push - she was not going to move towards him when he was coming to her, showing her a cautious level of trust.
If he was willing to come meet her, it would have to be on his terms. That was more than okay - it was the appropriate way to meet an animal when they were unfamiliar rather than already known. Hell, it was even better to greet an animal already known like that rather than pushing in to their space.

It took the mosca a while to be comfortable enough to properly greet Sevyrn, but after a while he was close enough to lean in and take a sniff at her extended arm. She couldn't lie, her arm was starting to get sore - that made her glad that he was getting this close, maybe soon she would be able to pull it back towards her body. Once the male was close enough that his nose pressed against the back of her knuckles, Sev slowly turned her hand over. He watched with intent, clearly looking to see if she was a problem right now, but in the end she simply slowly uncurled her fingers and then reached them beneath the feline’s chin.
At first he didn't know what to think of the unexpected chin rub - he recoiled just slightly. In as quick of a moment he moved back, however, and allowed the woman access to pet him.

She couldn't see but behind Sevyrn, Elara and the white mosca were watching the scene at hand. The woman's gentle voice and touch had gained the trust of yet another creature and she was quite pleased with herself - she just didn't quite understand what had the wildlife so booming today. The three ghostly estharne, these two adorable mosca - what else could she possibly come across? Part of her wanted to continue this adventure for as long as possible, see if she could find any non-felines wandering about the woods today. However, she was tired - more than wanting to adventure, she wanted to go home and get some rest.
She already had the love of Elara, and probably the white mosca, too - what the young woman did not expect was for the black mosca to start trailing behind them when she started the journey back home. She didn't notice until she was part way back down the river.

"Hey mister," Sevyrn said to the black cat when when became aware that he was following along behind them from a rustle as he brushed against a bush. There was distance between them but he was trailing along nonetheless - Sev didn't know if he wanted to stay with them or if he was simply interested in what was going on, but she was happy to keep his company. He didn't seem like a half bad mosca, after all. These silky-furred breeds are absolutely lovely and he was no different, and he seemed to be friendly enough!
He seemed hesitant when she stopped, though - he held his spot and even backed away from her. His fear seemed to subcede a little bit when both Elara and his white-furred counterpart made their way over to him.
The walk back home then became Sevyrn with three various felines following along behind her, and that was okay.

The river grew shallow, then turned in to that little creek that Sevyrn was so familiar with seeing as they got closer and closer to the edge of the woods - home was near. Knowing that some peace and rest was close didn't motivate her to get moving, though. Instead the woman slowed her pace, taking the time to enjoy the last few minutes of this interesting adventure. She definitely had the kind of day that she was going to need to tell Quinn about later on - the redhead would be jealous that she hadn't been around for all the curiosity that had occurred. She'd probably also be jealous about all the animals that Sev had come across along the way, and how she hadn't been around to meet them like this. Quinn was the adventuring type, after all - she lived for moments like the little adventure that Sevyrn had just been on.

The trees and underbrush grew sparcer as they ventured closer towards the edge of the woods and nearer towards Sevyrn's home. Oh, how nice it was going to be to get back home, pop herself in to a chair and kick up her now weary feet... Sevyrn found herself wishing that she had one of those porch swings right about then - she had extra money, for now, so maybe that would be something worth investigating in. Autumn meant that winter was coming, so she wouldn't be able to enjoy it much this year, but if she got it now she would still have a couple months of use out of it before it was too cold to want to be outside, and after that she would be able to make use of it again as soon as spring warmed the earth back up...
Yeah, that was a thing that was going to have to happen.

Just like that, the trees broke way to civilization - Sevyrn stepped past the edge and she could see her home not too far off. She had been right about that river leading in to the creek next to her house, and she was going to have to remember that for the next time she wanted to head out. Elara seemed to recognize the place because she paced forward ahead of the mosca to reach Sev's side, and then moved even further to pad towards the gate to the garden before anyone else could get close. That alone was enough to give Sev the feeling that at least this estharne would want to call her place home, if not the other too.
"Well this is home," she said, speaking not to Elara but to the mosca behind her who had never (as far as she was aware) been down this way before.

Sevyrn let out a deep sigh as she wandered towards the gate, watching Elara as the estharne impatiently waited - pawing at the wooden boards as if she was trying to push them away but couldn't. The lock on the inside stopped such a thing from occurring- only someone able to reach over the gate and unlock it from the inside would be able to open the door. Once she got close enough to to open the door, she hesitated.
Lowering herself closer to the ground, she looked at her new mosca friends. "If you guys wanna come hang out, you can," she said to them. "This is my home."
And, with that, Sevyrn reached over the gate to unlock it and made her way back on to her own property. Elara made her way in first, followed by Sevyrn - she left the gate open for the mosca to come, as well.
