This is your own thread, your own room in the gym, where you can work on any of the stats you desire. No more than 2 in each, and no more than 5 total! Good luck!

A new venture in a new place. This city never ceased to have something different to do - it was amazing. However.. This venture in particular was looking to be more work than play. Which was fine by the leopard. He was willing to do anything to give them a boost in battle. A wiurn was already a powerful creature, but that didn't mean they were impossible to defeat. And, the last thing he wanted was to see Alerios laying limp in the sands.. So with this resolve, Xentus set his sights on improving the wiurn's weakest characteristic: mobility. In the air, the winged reptile might fare just fine, but ground agility was awkward at best. He and his companion got situated in their training room. As a warm up, Xentus wanted to focus on stretches to limber up those joints. He didn't want the wyvern to sprain anything as a result of training today.

"Alright, Alé. Let us start with something simple, hm?", the mammalian announced to his companion. He took the wiurn by the left wing and stretched the 'arm' as far to the right side as it would go, then held it there. Alerios didn't oppose whatever the man was trying to do here, letting its limb flex and stretch out as he controlled. It was a strange 'exercise' though. It didn't take much effort at all (and it seemed the keeper was doing most of the work). {What is keeper doing?}, the beast asked through their mental link, eyeing the man curiously. [Stretching. It may not seem like much, but this will aid in your flexibility, Alé], the man replied in thought. He'd explained their goals a bit earlier, but not the methods by which to achieve them. Thinking about it, it was probably an odd way to start enhancing 'mobility', but it was more important that it might seem at first glance.

After holding the wing stretched out for a good half-minute, he let it go and repeated with the left side. Alerios gave the leopard full control over its limbs, trusting anything he was set on doing. Its wing flexed and twisted over to its side with ease. Being a creature of the air, the wings were expected to be the most flexible parts of the body. Webbed wings in particular had incredible dexterity in comparison to feathered ones. The multi-jointed finger on the limb allowed for impressive flight control. For an experienced flier. Alerios was still fresh to being in the air, but that was something they'd get to work on a bit later. Once the right side was stretched, Xentus returned to the left and repeated the process. Flexing the wing arms was his main target at the moment. Having a good range of motion and use of said motion would be vital for ground-based battles.

Ideally, they'd work on aerial agility at the same time, but considering that the wyvern needed a great deal of practice in that field, it would need to wait. Building up gradually also let Xentus to determine the wiurn's limits. Overwhelming the creature's body would be counterproductive. The left wing was stretched a little bit further than it had been the first time. The mammalian kept a watchful eye over the wyvern's body language, noticing the slight readjustments to its posture and breathing. [Let this one know if it starts to hurt, alright?] The stretch was held for twenty seconds without complaint. On to the next side - stretch and flex. Out of curiosity, a question was pressed to the wiurn, [Can Alé hold the wing like this on his own?]. A person stretching their arm normally required the use of both to help keep it taut. A wiurn had no such luxury.

Alerios blinked as it processed the question, staring at its keeper. Then it glanced down and attempted to press its own limb into its body - just as Xentus had. Without the added help and pressure though, it wasn't nearly as stretched. The creature passed a solemn 'no'. It was an attempt at least. Curiosity satisfied, the man resumed as he was. With another third of a minute passed, the process was repeated. And with another increase in the force applied. "Four more times and we'll be done with this, Alé", the leopard assured the creature as he pressed into its arm. It was at this point the wiurn winced, now feeling the strain as its joints were pushed further. It wasn't painful exactly.. Only mildly uncomfortable. The creature didn't voice any complaint just yet, but Xentus could tell it was starting to feel the burn just be reading its body.

Good. He knew what level of flexibility they were starting with here now. That knowledge didn't do much for him, unfortunately, since Alerios was his first and only measure to compare with.. But it would help in the future! He'd need to bring Nazura here eventually and train with the flaming beast. It was the wiurn he had in mind as the first he'd turn to for battling. As much as he didn't want to admit it.. There was a certain thrill to training these giant beasts to be ready to fight against other (presumably also giant) beasts. The mosca was a gateway to the part of himself that was vain. That wanted to be proud of the quality of his training. And while he didn't have a very impressive battling resumé in terms of 'quantity', it was of great quality. Few could claim to be undefeated in the fighting pit, after all.

If he were smart , he would've called it quits there. Taken his flawless victories and gone off to do other things with his time. Ah, but the glory was much more compelling than he'd anticipated. He'd garnered new trinkets as a reward for his time in the pit. And there were still more which he desired. Another necklace to enhance performance. Perhaps credits. Another alurook? Or the fabled rok izer. There was quite the ways to go before he could reach such a point, unfortunately. And it all depended on his prized pets and their performance (quality of his training aside). Such thoughts steeled his resolve. And distracted him from the task at hand. A gentle nudge from the fluffy reptile brought him out of his mind. [Getting lost in thought. Sorry Alé], the man sheepishly apologized as he released the stretched limb. It was a common enough occurrence that Alerios was able to catch him before he delved too deeply.

Their stretching exercise continued, pressing a little further each time the flexed sides swapped. The fluffy white wyvern was feeling the strain. It shuffled uncomfortably, seeking to relieve this dull pain in some way by shifting about. Xentus was keen to keep the creature centered on a selection of tiles however. He gave a tap with his foot to realign the beast in an attempt to contain it. It yielded to his guidance, despite this discomfort. [You can do it, Alé, hold fast], the man encouraged through their mental link, [This part is almost completed]. The stretching session only felt like it lasted a long time, but with with last repetition, it was completed. Xentus did consider working on some other parts or limbs.. A thoughtful hum escaped the man as he circled around the beast, looking it up and down. Rear leg stretches weren't a bad idea now that he gave himself a moment to think.

As much as he wanted to get to the more 'fun' aspects the facility had to offer, the leopard wanted to take things at his own pace. If he got ahead of himself now, he'd potentially cause later harm. He clasped his hands and stopped at the beast's rear. "Alright, Alé. Give your foot", he told the beast aloud. It craned its head over its shoulder to look at him, confused at the words. It all ended up making sense once the keeper more forcefully grabbed at its hindleg. It tickled and felt odd, but it could handle the leopard's touch without much fuss. "Good." The simple praise was nice to hear. Then came the pulling. It had to shuffle in order to remain balanced, but was able to manage being a tripod for the time being. The leopard pulled and lifted, forcing the muscles and tendons to stretch in a way they normally wouldn't.

[Let's hold this for a short time], the mammalian advised. The thick leg was a lot more difficult to push against than the wing, making Xentus himself work a little harder. Thus less of a desire to hold it for very long. After half a minute passed, he stepped over the wyvern's furred tail to repeat on the other side. {What do after this?}, Alerios asked. It got the feeling there would be something different coming soon. The keeper hummed in thought, taking his time to respond. Its foot got yoinked and pulled in the meantime, causing it to rebalance itself. [How does some dashes sound?], the mammalian offered thoughtfully. Quick, short bursts of movement would help ground mobility. Wiurns could reach a good groundspeed once they got going. Getting going was the tough part. Moving in general wasn't exactly something the beast favored in particular, but if it was by the leopard's command, it would tolerate it. Begrudgingly.

The leopard nonchalantly picked at the wiurn's toes while he had its leg held out like this. The thick digits had such long, thick nails that he never cared to groom or trim. He figured the wyvern would take care of that itself or natural wear would help. But there was a fair amount of dirt and muck stuck in the space between the toes, not to mention stuck shed. The sensation was extremely ticklish, but the beast did its best to resist the temptation to pull itself away. It just needed to persist a little while longer through the tickling and the strain. And just before it was too much to bear, its foot was released back to its possession. Much to its relief, the mammalian was satisfied with only a single foot pull per side. Alerios huffed out a long breath, causing frost to form in the air around itself.

[This one thanks you for your patience, Alé. Now then, let's do some dashes], the leopard told it with a nod, then began to lead the way to the outdoor training area. The chilly, early morning air was mildly uncomfortable for the mammalian, but plenty enjoyable for the wiurn. It thrived in the cold. If there was snow and ice it would've loved this all the better. The winged reptile was somehow energized while its keeper wanted to escape back within the facility. But, he trudged on. The track was rather vacant aside from a couple of equillion racing down its length. The duo did well to avoid crossing paths with any errant equine; a section was marked off for their use. After a quick explanation of what he wanted the wiurn to do, they began the next exercise. With the blow of a whistle, Alerios began running down the track, Xentus running alongside the beast to encourage it along.

And he had certain tools to push the creature even further. A riding whip and ankle weights. They weren't the ideal, but they were what he had available at the moment. He'd get to adding those as an extra touch of difficulty once the wiurn started to pick up the pace. Until then, his voice would work. "Faster, Alerios!", the man barked, "Move!" In combat, an opponent would give no such luxury as a warning. The winged reptile would need to be able to think fast and be light on its feet. Something it currently was not. Compared to the mosca the mad had trained previously, the wiurn moved like a cinderblock. Such little fluidity. And certainly no grace (aside from that glorious mane waving through the air). Once the pair reached the end of the short track, the whistle was blown again to signal the creature to stop. The white wiurn's nostrils flared as it tried to catch its breath after the short sprint.

[Come on now, Alé, you cannot get winded after such a short spurt], the leopard criticized, barely hiding the fact that he too was out of breath (catching up to such a large animal was not easy - even if it was more clumsy on land!), [A short rest, then we race back.] He could feel the creature's disdain for this exercise. It snorted and turned around, as ready as it could be to run the distance back to the start. With the shrill whistle, the beast set off, trying to push itself to act faster just as its keeper desired. There was no way Xentus was keeping up with his own feet, despite his best efforts. He grumbled. While he didn't intend to use it just yet, his set of mechanical wings would be needed here. It was only a quick trip inside to the locker room, but it felt like wasted time..
