Linyü digs in lot #10:
Well the plot here doesn't seem to have anything, but it could just be poor probability as much as forms of superstition. Perhaps another place might have more things?
Despite no finds, there is a strange little bag just sitting around on the ground..
( Linyü has earned 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Rei digs in lot #19:
The hara isn't having better luck either, alas. Still, the effort is noted by the ungulate!
( Rei has earned their owner 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Silver digs in lot #16:
There's certainly something here! Underneath all the dirt and rocks is a tiny bit of VERY shiny coin, iridescent, even! Such a fine find could snatch a nice 15 points at the booth.
Along with the finds, there is a strange little bag just sitting around on the ground..
( Silver has earned 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Kylma digs in lot #26:
Moreover, the half-breed's claws struck something again. At first the sparkle of green might make one think "Oh, it's another green coin", but no.. there's another.. and then another.. and another! Four in total, and not even round, but square! The find might leave some scratching their heads at first, but a passing historian notes the kerfuffle and shuffles over, looking the objects over. They quickly determined them to be mosaic pieces! A feverish search resume to see if there's any others, but nothing.. So no larger piece they could have come from, sadly. The historian spends a little more time looking at the pieces, back-to-back, before noticing their backing isn't entirely ceramic - There's a bit of a plastic grid element baked into the tiles, probably to make them easier to attach.. Thus, the objects seem much too new for their likings, and the historian returns then, taking their leave.
( Kylma has earned their owner 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Flare digs in lot #71:
Not long into digging the hole, there's a bit of a flash of green, as a coin is unearthed! A nice shiny green, worth some 6 points at the booth.
Along with the finds, there is a strange little bag just sitting around on the ground..
( Flare has earned 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Grendel digs in lot #72:
The houluh, too, looks to be having the same kind of luck, as a second coin is found as well!
( Grendel has earned their owner 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Ashe digs in lot #95:
Fortunately the earth looks to yield a shiny coin pretty early on in this hole! Not exactly 'true' gold, but still worth some 3 points at the booth.
Along with the finds, there is a strange little bag just sitting around on the ground..
( Ashe has earned 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Inyala digs in lot #94:
Meanwhile, though diligent, the imp doesn't seem to find anything in the other hole. The ungulate still makes sure to note the effort, though.
( Inyala has earned their owner 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Nerius digs in lot #107:
Heavy work, but not without its rewards! Something iridescent and pale seems to poke up from the soil, looking to be a glass coin. Not an artefact, but still worth some 15 points at the booth.
Along with the finds, there is a strange little bag just sitting around on the ground..
( Nerius has earned 1 point at the Booth for their work! )
Ice digs in lot #108:
The dirt might be softer than rock, but there's still some harder bits in it. For example, a deep blue coin, quite different to the usual rock and soil! Such a shiny find would certainly be worth 9 points at the booth.
( Ice has earned their owner 1 point at the Booth for their work! )
Fiera digs in lot #57:
Perhaps it's just the luck or the shock still lingering, but doesn't seem like there's anything here.
Despite no finds, there is a strange little bag just sitting around on the ground..
( Fiera has earned 3 points at the Booth for their work! )
Icarus digs in lot #58:
The hara doesn't seem to be having all too much luck either, but no items would also mean no historians, so.. might not be too bad?
( Icarus has earned their owner 1 point at the Booth for their work! )
Kadin digs in lot #51:
Chances say.. wrong! Something bright and blue looks to be sticking out of the dirt! A glass coin, worth some 9 points at the booth, in fact.
Along with the finds, there is a strange little bag just sitting around on the ground..
( Kadin has earned 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Miles digs in lot #61:
The first thing the houluh finds looks to be round, flat and iridescent. One could almost confuse it for some of those pearly-looking glass coins, but it's much smaller with two holes drilled through. And it's not alone! Four more are found shortly after, just nearby. The historian passing by, having just evaluated a previous find, pauses to inspect there as well. They investigate quite thoroughly, but even as they starts, there's a frown of concern and pressure on their features.. There's suspicion here.. and alas, the suspicion soon finds merit - Although the styling of the coin looks to be from a previous century, then the material isn't pearl at all, but rather plastic merely coated to looking. Thus, these are much too new (even if they're rather wonderfully made). The historian sighs, hands them back, and leaves for the sidelines.
( Miles has earned their owner 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Renathan digs in lot #62:
Things might be getting crowded, but they're certainly not empty! A shiny iridescent coin can be found here, worth a nice 15 points at the booth.
Along with the finds, there is a strange little bag just sitting around on the ground..
( Renathan has earned 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Auburn digs in lot #63:
As for the other side, the fortunes run a little more thin there, alas.
( Auburn has earned their owner 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Leafy digs in lot #15:
The next plot isn't quite a cache as the last, but it still has at least one coin to find! A pretty blue one, worth some 9 points at the booth.
Along with the finds, there is a strange little bag just sitting around on the ground..
( Leafy has earned 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Naieth digs in lot #119:
Meanwhile, the familiar's effort seem to result in a lot of dirt and rocks, but no items of any particular note, sadly.
( Naieth has earned their owner 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
Nadia digs in lot #60:
It's certainly quite a bit of back-breaking work, but not without a reward! A shiny blue coin is visible in the dirt, worth some 9 points at the booth.
Along with the finds, there is a strange little bag just sitting around on the ground..
( Nadia has earned 5 points at the Booth for their work! )
OOC Update:
With the digging in such fierce swing, it seems like the map might yet get completed before the next set of holidays even rolls around!
As a result (and because he had ordered a lot more than planned) Antelmo has put up some of the surplus Winter Goodie Bags for trade at the Booth!

Silver pulled another coin from the soil, and when they brushed it off, they could see that it was shimmering and iridescent. How lovely! Silver especially liked this coin, even if they had no idea what it was worth. They'd have to ask when they went to turn them in. Yet again, Kylma seemed to find something even more exciting. Or... less exciting? They found all of the hubbub so overwhelming that they didn't actually understand most of what was going on. Just that everyone liked what he found, then promptly left. Ah well. "Better luck next time," Silver said with a faint laugh. Again they rubbed Kylma's head warmly to let him know he was doing a good job. "What do you think, Ky? After this next one, let's go see if we can buy anything fun, okay? Maybe they even have some yummy treats for ya!" "One last one... might as well start here," they said, picking a spot nearby where they just were in a straight line. Well, you got the idea, right? Go ahead and dig, Ky!" [Silver would like to buy 4x Winter Goodie Bags with their points please!] Okay, it was time for a little break. There was so much dirt here! Would everyone even be able to get through it all? Well, they weren't sure, but they wanted to take some time off to see if there was anything worth trading for at the booth. They picked Kylma up so he wouldn't get into any trouble and carried him over to where the Trinket Booth was. There were a few weird little things that Silver thought looked fun, but the thing that really caught their attention was the little snowball-looking-things. Oh! Maybe they had candy inside, too? They couldn't resist. "Hey, ah, hello, I would like, ah, like to pick up some of those, the ah, treat bags? Like, four of them, is that okay?" Silver beamed. They couldn't wait to open them up and see what was inside. They loved a good surprise, after all. As long as it was a good surprise, anyway. Finds: Unopened: [132.9, 9.6]

This time, the main draw that she found was a blue coin. Then, Leafy also spotted one of those strange goodie bags and she quickly snatched it up. Naieth came up empty once again and appeared to be rather dejected. Since those two spots hadn’t yielded anything yet, Leafy told her to keep trying in the area. Surely something had to turn up there soon, right? Though this type of stuff might not follow logic. She hadn’t put much thought into what this place was exactly. Was it magic, or simply some sort of archeological dig? Either way she got treasure out of the deal so she didn’t think she wanted to examine it too closely. This time Leafy wandered over to an early area that didn’t look to have been searched yet. Naieth stayed close to the last spot she had dug in and Leafy hoped that her luck would improve this time. Then, they both started to dig up their areas. [Squares 24, 118]

Renathan was more than thankful that the current plot he'd selected was another of the softer ones, because his arms were beginning to shake. He didn't want to slow up and lose momentum, but it was beginning to look like he would have to. He focused on the fact that he was going to have to move to a different set of plots; because he was sure that he would get a rest then. Yes, that was right- he'd get a rest then.
While the russet mammalian continued to work hard on his own portion of the plot, little fluffy Auburn was having much more fun! She ran one way, and then the other- looking for anything there was to be found. Sometimes, she didn't find anything- and this was one of those times. She began to fret a little. She wanted to do really well for Renathan; but she couldn't see anything that he might give her a seed for! What a terrible thing to happen to her![Post 14] [Selections: 78 & 79]

Renathan finally sags on his shovel, quite exhausted. He had another of those really cool coins for his trouble, so he wasn't bothered. He was, however, concerned about continuing. He really wanted to be able to stick it out until the end, with everyone else- especially since he hadn't gotten here on time with everyone else. He hears Auburn run up behind him, and perks an ear in her direction. "You find anything, gal?" The izer comes up to him with nothing, and he can tell that she is fretting. "Aww, don't fret sweetie." A seed is promptly procured for her, and off they go!
They had to find another plot now, since all of them around them were worked over. He goes another row down and looks a little concerned at first; what if they didn't find any plots available? His fears are assuaged as he finds two that are right next to one another. "Alright Auburn-" He starts, "F'rai!" He calls out. The little Izer takes off.
He takes a moment to breathe as she bounces to look.[Post 15]

If Auburn was tiring; she was not showing it at all. She begins looking all around for something to bring back to him of interest. After a moment of leaning on his shovel and breathing hard, he turns back towards the plot next to hers and steals himself. "Well, it's time to get to work!" He tries to pump himself up a little bit for the long haul. It was a good thing that he had some of that tea, he thought. He was going to have to break into his own water bottle soon by the look of how things were going.
This plot looked like it was going to be difficult. With the first push into the ground, he felt that it must have been sandy -or else fine gravel-, and that was certainly not going to be good on his already weakened muscles. Still, he perseveres. If nothing else, he could try to see if he could get himself a bit of a magic pick-me-up; or elsewise raid the tea tables again. Wasn't that a thought![Post 16]

It appeared he had chosen a decent spot last time, nothing so fancy as to attract the interest of the historians, but he and the gem dragon had found a pair of shimmery glass coins. Pretty as they were, they apparently weren't anything of historical significance, Nerius wasn't familiar with the local history pre-founding of the Labs, so he'd have to take their word for it. The more confusing part had been the... pumpkin he'd found sitting on the ground. That clearly wasn't an ancient artifact; the local holidays were big on pumpkins this time of year, it could have something to do with that? Curious, he opened the little bag, before choosing a pair of sections. A lot more had been dug up in only a few days, but there was still enough that he could easily find a pair of unturned plots. Ice was much less confused this time, and set to digging without additional prompting this time. Nerius started digging up his own plot, lamenting the fact that he didn't have a strength spell.

Show name: Walk a Mile Call name: Miles Gender: Male Species: Common Houluh Level: 20 [1/5] Loyalty: 42 [2/5] -stats- Stamina: 2 Strength: 2 Resistance: 1 Dexterity: 5 Mentality: 5 Special Abilities: None Moves: Bite Training Tricks Known: Name (1), Heel (1), Come (1), Search (2), Sit (1), Stay (1), Hold (1), Drop (1), Lay Down (1), Combat Crawl (2), Race (3) Luck had smiled on them both the last time they had ventured out to go digging. Kadin had managed to find a coin and Miles some coins that were interesting, but at the end didn't seem to be of any interest to the people watching over all of the finds. Kadin wondered if anyone had managed to find anything they wanted yet. He'd be curiouse to see what everyone else had found so far around here. But there wasn't exactly a time to go looking for it. Instead, he wanted to focus on digging up more spots. He decided to keep Miles with him again, having both of them dig up patches that were near each other. He went to it with the shovel and his other supplies, Miles searching diligently nearby where Kadin directed him to. They worked as a team, doing their best to search their plots efficiently and hopefully have something else to show for it. [102 and 103] Posts: 6

He'd open up one of the baggies and find some candy, a ring with a coin attached that was printed with some sort of animal, and a figurine. The little figurine is wooden, carved in the shape of a horse. He's seen the horses here in Pethia, and they... are not shaped like this. Much longer tails, but the carver may just have shrunken it for lack of material. The longer the tail the more likely the item would break apart in his hand. Something chinked at his feet. Grendel's watching him, wagging her tail happily. Flare looks down, sees an emerald coin. A smile crosses the tumai's face as he gives his houlou an appreciateive pat on the head. She almost jumps a bit upwards to lean into the feeling. Thankfully she's easy to send into another square. This is actually a lot of fun for the both of them. His stomach grumbles a bit, putting his finds aside with the waterskin and such.[/font]

Ashe once again found a little gem in the hole and nothing more. When he said gem, he was being generous, because it felt more like glass.... but he spent so much time mining that he liked the excitement of finding a gem. While he didn't fond anything thrilling in the dirt and mud, he had opened up some of his goodie bags and he was pleased with the collection he had growing! Now if only he could find some real treasure!
"Next attempt, Yala," Ashe said, leading her away from the holes they had made after pocketing his goodies. He scanned the area, seeing people already set up and digging. He wondered what other people had found.... had they found anything? Was the point not to find anything? That would shut this guy down, right? Maybe it was a good thing, he was helping this man build on his property.
Still wondering what treasures could possibly be found, he dug the shovel into the dirt and started digging anew. Inyala found an adjacent plot and began her job.

Silver trades at the Booth:
As you approach, the ungulate looks to be fiddling with the quill, muttering something about dust and dirt as he tries to get something out from the split in the tip. By the time you reach him, there's a brief look of triumph and he flicks a grain of dirt away with his hoof, pleased to be able to write again. His attentions are quick to draw on you, and he promptly stands with an excited smile, "Ah, yes! Welcome, welcome! Pay no mind to the humbleness of this booth," there's an apologetic bow, "It is still a work in progress. But I assure you, the treasures within a certainly worth their cost!" He listens to the request, seeming almost giddy that someone is finally visiting, before nodding, "Of course, of course!" and reaching to some boxes under the table. He brings up four of the snowman bags (with appropriate theatrical flourishes) and pushes them towards you, "That shall be 8 points from the tally, but I'm sure you won't have any issue making up the difference in no time!" As you pick things up and take your leave, he turns to the scoreboard next to him and quickly makes the appropriate adjustments to the tally.
( For purchasing 4 Winter Goodie Bags, 8 points have been deducted from your tally! )
OOC: (Fixed the points issue for Nerius as well).

Nadia couldn't help rattling the little coins in her pocket. They were pleasing to the touch, with the smooth surface - whenever she was scoping out a new plot of land to excavate, she'd run her thumb into the divot of one. Most satisfying.
She was getting used to hopping over holes to get to her destination. Is this what it feels like to be a galabex, gracefully dodging pitfalls with those long legs? The process was a full body workout rather than just strength and endurance training!
"I like the look of you..." Talking to no one but herself, as per. The shovel was taken down from her shoulder, where it had been scattering remnants of dirt down her back, and was set to work in the soil. Perhaps she'd make a miraculous discovery! ... or perhaps not, but hopefully she'd get some more of those neat coins. That would satisfy her.

"The man in the hat put these here," said Rei, contemplating yet another of the pumpkin-shaped bags that they had found littered across the digging area. She was the one who had found most of them, and they did seem to be accumulating a lot of them as the dig went on. The contents were more or less the same -- toys and candy, candy and toys. They were obviously not part of the dig itself, though San had noticed that there was something like a prize booth set up too, presumably to spend the glass coins on.
He stopped digging for a moment and looked up at Rei, inclining his head. She shook hers. "I just thought it was strange."
"He might get more work out of people if he makes a game of it," San replied. "It isn't a bad plan." The turnout, certainly, seemed to support the man's methods.

[Silver opens Winter Goodie Bag x3!] Oh, goody! Silver was so pleased to get their hands on some new treats that they almost ran off without saying anything. "Ah, oh, thank you," they hastily said. They shifted uncomfortably as they tried to figure out how to wave with both of their hands full. That didn't work, so they swiftly bowed, then ran off before they had another chance to embarrass themselves. "Look, Ky, white, just like your... fur," Silver said. They realized halfway through that sentence that Kylma had long since soaked his white fur in nice, brown dirt. He was absolutely filthy, and by extension, so was Silver. "What do you think is inside?" Silver asked. They grabbed one of the bags and tipped it out. Then they couldn't resist tipping two more out before even really looking at the contents of the first one. Then they mused a bit regarding the last one. Should they open all of them, or give it time? In the end, they decided to wait, though probably not for that long. Finds: Unopened: [134.35, 9.7]
